Hi!
As the title says, I'm in a horror-ish mood and would like to do a darker-setting roleplay with someone who enjoys such stories.
Sadly, it can be a bit hard to find partners open to such concepts, but hey, who knows, maybe I'll get lucky.
Basic info:
I'm female and over 30 years old, so I'm only comfortable with those over eighteen.
I play female. Partner will play male.
I roleplay multi-paragraphs and try to push for proper spelling, punctuation and grammar with minimal errors.
However, let's face it, no one is perfect. We're going to make errors here and there.
I roleplay in third-person.
I prefer not to do character sheets unless necessary.
I don't care what image type you use for your char or if you even use one at all.
PMs are my preferred place to RP.
Be comfortable with adult content and playing side-characters that are expected in horrors.
If interested, Pleeeeease PM me. I may not notice if you post here.
If you have an idea of your own, you're free to share via PMs.

Plot Options:
● The Coma ●
● Main Pairing ●
Ghost Vigilante X Coma Stepper
Extra Characters:
Vigilante Chairman x Evil Shade
NPC:
Vigilante, Shades, Note-Takers
The Coma, a world connected to our own, is a dangerous place created by rooted history and emotional turmoil. Very few who cross through to The Coma manage to free themselves back to their own world. If, somehow, they manage to survive the evil Shades that claim ownership to different areas in the realm, they slowly lose their own sense of being. They are left to wander aimlessly, all while their body remains in the living world, deep asleep in a coma (thus the name of the world). When they can no longer remember their name, they vanish from the void and pass away in the living world. Those who come to The Coma by accident are known as Coma Steppers.
To access the void, one must hold an ancient artifact that has ties to a location in The Coma. Many who stumble in are unaware of their artifact, stumbling upon it by chance. Others have knowing ownership of these items. Some choose to lock them away, while others use them to protect the living world from The Coma.
Ghost Vigilantes, people who willingly use their artifacts to go into the void, do so in order to destroy evil shades and close entries into the living world. The job is not one taken lightly and comes with many risks and requirements, but those who take the title are the ones most likely to survive within The Coma and the best chance for Coma Steppers to make it out alive.
One late night, a teacher at a local school ends up staying late to finish grading final exams. On his way out, he notices a necklace on the floor. Figuring it belongs to one of the kids, he puts it in his pocket and heads for his office. It's only late afternoon and other teachers and students are still around finishing up. In his office, feeling tired, he decided to take a nap to ensure he is safe to drive later. When he awakes, it's night and the school is empty and locked up tight.
As he begins searching for a key for the doors, he's attacked by the school principal. Though he tries to defend himself, the principal is much stronger than him, inhumanly so, and armed with a knife. This leads him to flee for his life. When cornered, a trap is sprung and the hall fills with gas. He feels someone grab his wrist and pull him from the halls, into a nearby room to hide.
The woman with him is a ghost vigilante and she gives him a quick rundown of where he is and, when she finds the necklace, determines that's how he managed to get into The Coma. However, to his dismay, he can't just leave. One does not enter The Coma without reason. They end up there because of something they must come to terms with that is tied within the coma. Because she doesn't know him, all she can offer is her assistance. However, she warns him, all because she can survive there, it doesn't make her a safe person to be around, as she has her own enemies after her.
A powerful shade from another territory is trying to find her. He has been hunting her for a long time, clearly obsessed with the woman.
The two work together to find the reason why the teacher has ended up in The Coma. Without knowing why and coming to term, he will be stuck forever.

● Drawn in Death ●
● Main Pairing ●
Famous Artist x Aspiring Artist
She had made a name for herself as a famous horror comic book artist almost overnight. Yet, after only a short few years in the spotlight, she retired from horror and focused on happy and romantic stories after that. No one knew why she stepped away from the genre she loved so much and had fought so hard to find fame in, but she had.
He was an aspiring artist who had idolized the woman and her talents, for he, too, wished to be a famous horror artist, yet always fell short. After much investigating, he finally locates her home and asks for an interview. Despite being a bit distant, she agrees and answers his questions. When in her office, he notices a box with a set of decorative rings within and inquires about it. He realizes, she is always seen wearing one while she draws.
She explains that, back when she struggled to focus on her work, she found the rings at an estate sale. When she wore them, she felt inspired by the designs on them and began to put each unique design to an art style. One, specifically, for horror, was her greatest inspiration. She tells him it was likely just a placebo effect during a hard time, but the black onyx stone mesmerized her.
Offering to get him tea, she leaves the room, only to return to find him missing...along with her onyx ring.
Like her, wearing the ring brings him focus and he ends up creating a comic that his boss absolutely loves. Just as she did, he gains instant fame for his work and is considered by the public to be her replacement in the horror genre. Not long after, he receives a series of e-mails warning him that she knows he has her rings and he will regret his decision to take them. Though he feels a bit of guilt for stealing them, he chooses to ignore the emails.
At the request of his boss, he draws a short horror story about himself to present at a press conference. It's about being stalked by a shadow figure one evening and being murdered on his way to the conference. Strangely, the evening of his conference, he feels uneasy as he heads for the train station. Almost as if his comic is coming to life, he begins to live the story he wrote, all the way to the alley where the creature is about to strike its final blow.
Only, the ending changes as the creature screams in pain and vanishes. At the opening of alley stands the woman near the briefcase he'd dropped, the comic he'd drawn set ablaze at her feet. She tells him that she tried to warn him. The rings don't just give inspiration, they bring things to life. Whatever he draws will come to be. She learned it the hard way as people around her began to die just as depicted in her work.
To her dismay, he admits he had just had five new comics published days earlier.
Now the two must act fast to save the people who will ultimately die should they be unable to destroy the creatures he has brought into the real world. At the same time, as deaths do occur, detectives begin noticing similarities between the man's work and the murders, leading them to believe he is the killer just as they had her many years ago.

● Jasper's Asylum ●
● Main Pairing ●
Faux Patient x Reporter
Extra Characters:
Asylum Patients
He was a struggling reporter while his rival was thriving in the same office. One night, when his rival is out of the room, he sees an e-mail pop up from a company that runs an asylum that his rival had done an interview with before (that got him a lot of publicity). He decides to open it and sees they are asking him to come to the facility that night to have another interview, signed by a Doctor Cade. He prints the e-mail and deletes it before heading out, planning his lie to explain why he showed up instead of his rival.
Upon arriving at the Asylum, he finds it closed, quiet, and locked up, though a few lights are on. He manages to get in through a semi-broken window in the lobby, where he ends up attacked by two inmates. As the security system locks his ways out, he manages to escape to the hallway upstairs where he finds a female patient hiding in one of the rooms. She's clearly been through hell and back. When he questions why she's there, in an all male asylum, she explains she was a doctor who was forced into being a patient and having tests done on her (thus her lack of an arm and strange eyes).
The two work together to make their way through the asylum to find another way out, all while avoiding dangerous patients who seek to do them harm. He realizes quickly that she has a date awaiting her worse than death if she's caught by some of the inmates and promises to ensure her escape.
At the same time, he wants to find out who sent the e-mail, worried that someone else is stuck inside the Asylum.

● A Deadly Past ●
(This one is a little less horror than the others.)
● Main Pairing ●
Ex-Spy x Reporter
During his visit to a mental institution for those too unstable to be around others, but not so unstable that they are considered dangerous, a reporter asks if there are any patients with unique stories. At first, he's told that everyone here is basically just what he sees, but then the man pauses and corrects himself. They actually have a new patient who came willingly and paid a large sum of money to be there. He can't say her name or tell him much else, but part of why is because she never told him why she was there, just that she paid a lot to be accepted as a patient and to be left alone.
The man somehow manages to get an interview with her. She's a fit, attractive woman and sees sane from what he can tell. However, before the interview, she ensures he is not recording and is only taking notes. She warns him not to mention the name of the facility she is in or his own name on the paper he writes, lest he wants them both to be harmed.
Unfortunately, he doesn't listen and writes her story, though he doesn't actually believe what she's told him. This ends up biting him in the ass when he returns home one night to find his wife and child murdered and men waiting for him. He manages to escape, mostly thanks to the fact he is a ex-detective and officer.
He manages to get to the facility and the woman is waiting for him, having seen the report he wrote that he signed with his name. She had warned him and he didn't listen, and now she knows they will find her through him coming to see her. The two end up making their escape just in time and heading out, having to escape a powerful organization that is dead set on catching the woman who knows all their secrets.
(The background story between her and the company will be told early on.)
