Unit Description
The Glasgow is a machine with a humanoid silhouette possessing two arms, two legs, and a head. Its head is long and narrow with four red optics gathered together on a circular plate on the front of its head. The chest of the Glasgow sticks out, boxy and protruding with small handles for maintenance work. Its arms and legs are thin and relatively streamlined. A cockpit extends out of its back and its shoulders are minimally covered by armor plates.Technical Information
Height: 4.24 meters
Weight: 7.35 metric tonnes
Manufacturer: Holy Empire of Britannia
Operator: Terrorists, Rebels, 3rd Party armed forces.
Accommodation: Pilot only, cockpit on back.
Equipment and Design Features
•Yggdrasil Drive: The primary power source of the Glasgow and all other Knightmare frames to come after it. It is a spherical chamber with a cubed-shaped device suspended weightlessly inside. When activated the cube is spun at high speeds it causes a state known as "Yggdrasil Resonance" where Sakuradite is broken down and converted directly into power. The drive is recharged through a Sakuradite energy filler which replenishes the Sakuradite expended in the drive. Compact and highly efficient the Yggdrasil Drive is the primary reason the Glasgow made it as a practical combat weapon. Without it Knightmares would be shackled to external power supplies by cables and wires.
•Cockpit Ejection System: The Glasgow was equipped with a means for the pilot to escape, ensuring that even if the Knightmare was destroyed the pilot could survive and be recovered and redeployed into combat. Upon activation by the pilot or automatic activation upon receiving enough damage, a small rocket booster will activate and launch the entire cockpit module upwards and backwards away from the Knightmare Frame.
•Factsphere Sensor: An advanced sensor that allows the collection of more specific visual data including thermal images, low-light vision, and better long visuals. Typically protected under a layer of retractable armor, the Factsphere must be exposed to collect more sensitive information. Doing so increases the power consumption of the sensor while also making it more vulnerable to attack.
•L307 Reinforced Tungsten Armor: A powerful tungsten alloy with lower weight and greater strength than normal tungsten. Small arms fire is completely ineffective against it and its high-melting point makes it resistant to HEAT rounds. The Glasgow’s armor is light compared to Knightmares that would come after it, making it somewhat more fragile in combat against other Knightmares.
•Landspinner Propulsion System: Landspinners are sets of wheels built into the bottom of a Knightmare’s foot and attached to the heels on pivots. Normally folded up alongside or behind the legs, the landspinners fold backwards and deploy to be used. They allow Knightmare Frames to move quickly through virtually any kind of terrain at high speeds and give them greater mobility than conventional armored vehicles. Since the legs and the landspinners themselves can each pivot, these can be used to move off the ground using the surrounding surfaces as points of contact. Allowing skilled pilots to climb between walls or even ride up thin platforms or wires.
Weaponry
Handheld Armaments
25mm Assault Rifle/with 40mm Grenade Launcher: The standard armament of the Glasgow. A rapid fire coilgun chambered for 25mm rounds kept in a large drum magazine at the back of the gun. Its high rate of fire allows the Glasgow to fire with impunity when on the move, permitting the strafing of targets as it approaches or passes. Mounted on top of the rifle is a 40mm grenade launcher fed from the top by a 10 round box magazine. This grenade launcher can be removed and replaced with a sensor scope assembly for greater accuracy when firing the coilgun while stationary or on the move. When not in use it can be stored on the rear of the Glasgow, just beneath the cockpit.
90mm “Giant Cannon”: A recoilless 90mm linear cannon capable of being fired from the shoulder or turned upside down and fired from the hip. Though possessing a lower rate of fire and a smaller magazine compared to the assault rifle, the “Giant Cannon” has greater damage and penetration over distances. It can fire solid armor penetrating shells or high-explosive ammunition for use against fortifications or structures.
Fixed Armaments
x2 Slash Harken: Two magnetically propelled blades attached to wires and a reel system on both sides of the Glasgow’s chest. When fired they are capable of slicing into armor and cutting clean through the canopy of low-flying VTOL craft. They act not only as fixed weaponry, but also as grappling hooks capable of stabbing into all kinds of terrain. These allow Knightmares to scale even the most difficult of terrain and repel down from great heights that would otherwise damage them. They use a high-polymer wire that is lightweight and strong with an incredibly high weight bearing ratio for its thickness.
x2 Elbow-mounted Tonfa [Optional]: Folded up along the forearm and folding out from the elbow, the Tonfa is a thick metal bludgeoning weapon that can be used to bash vehicles. Initially developed for the sake of conserving ammunition when destroying obstacles or small vehicles, the Tonfa has come into use as a melee weapon against other Knightmares. Its thick enough it can be used to stop and deflect most bladed weapons carried by other Knightmares.
Technical History
For a number of years the Ashford Foundation, a group founded by the influential Ashford Family, had been working on a mechanized humanoid combat weapon. With support from Marianne vi Britannia they were able to make great progress. They eventually developed the YF6-X7K/E “Ganymede” Prototype Knightmare frame.
Though crude the prototype was functional and had technologies that would become standard on all future Knightmares. However a tremendous amount of work and refinement would be needed before Knightmare Frames could be seen as a legitimate weapon. Pouring their funding and resources into the project the Ashford Foundation put their best minds to prove those who doubted the legitimacy of their work.
The armor, the control system, the power source, and even the design of the cockpit was taken into consideration as the work was done. Slowly but surely the Ashford Foundation made progress until they eventually finished a prototype, the first 4th Generation Knightmare frame. As soon as it was finished it was submitted for testing and review.
Waiting with bated breath, the design team was overjoyed when they heard the news.
The RPI(Royal Panzer Infantry)-11 Glasgow had been adopted by the military.
It entered mass production shortly after it was adopted and great efforts were made to begin training soldiers and developing a doctrine around the machine. Though the unit was seen as capable many in the military still had their doubts. That all changed when just a few months later when the Holy Britannian Empire went to war.
The Glasgow was able to prove its worth as it was deployed onto the beaches and air dropped into cities. Japanese soldiers were terrified and confused at the strange humanoid weapons that began to rush them down. A single team of Glasgows proved capable of wiping out an entire tank platoon and were virtually untouchable by ground infantry.
Thanks to the Glasgow, Britannia’s invasion of Japan went incredibly fast. In less then a month Japan was forced to capitulate. On that day the awesome potential of the Knightmare Frame was shown to not only Britannia, but to the entire world. After Japan’s occupation the naysayers in the Britannian military became supporters and Knightmare Frames became a vital part in the Britannian war machine.
For a number of years the Glasgow served valiantly. However as time pressed on and other nations began to develop their own Knightmares, the Glasgow began to show its age. While still venerated in Britannia a replacement was eventually developed. The RPI-13 Sutherland featured a number of refinements and advancements that made the Glasgow almost entirely obsolete.
In just a few short months the Glasgow was phased out of service. Some models were modified and downgraded for use in Britannia’s law enforcement as “Knightpolice”. Most Glasgows were scrapped and disposed of. However due to the sheer number of Glasgows that needed to be disposed of, procedures waned and those charged with the task saw the means to make a lot of money.
It wasn’t long before Glasgows and Glasgow parts ended up on the Black Market. Rebels and terrorists came into possession of the obsolete Knightmare Frame and began to use it to wage war against Britannia. Though obsolete the Glasgow proved to be a legitimate threat that partially evened the playing field with Britannia.
Though the Glasgow had inferior armor compared to the Sutherland, it was faster and more mobile due to its lighter weight. As of 2017 the Glasgow is growing increasingly obsolete but is all most rebel and terrorist organizations can get a hold of.

Unit Description
The Sutherland has a has thick, well armored shoulders and angular, squared off armor plating covering the rest of its body. As per standard design the cockpit is located on the back of the Knightmare extending backwards. A black boxy protrusion that narrows towards the end sticks out of its chest and makes up the front half of the rear cockpit's ejection booster. The Sutherland has a larger head compared to its predecessor with two horn-like antenna extending backwards from the top of its head. Four piercing red optics are arranged together on a circular plate hiding a Factsphere behind it. Unlike the Glasgow, the Sutherland appears visually refined and its standard royal-purple color scheme gives it a truly regal aura to it on the battlefield.
Technical Information
Height: 4.39 meter
Weight: 7.48 metric tons
Manufacturer: Holy Britannian Empire
Operator: The Holy Britannian Empire, due to efforts to keep the units safeguarded very few have fallen into the hands of foreign enemies and terrorists compared to the Glasgow.
Accommodation: Pilot only, cockpit located on back
Equipment and Design Features
•Yggdrasil Drive:
Cockpit Ejection System: Upon activation by the pilot or automatic activation upon receiving enough damage, a small rocket booster will activate and launch the entire cockpit module upwards and backwards away from the Knightmare Frame. The boosters have enough fuel to propel the cockpit a good distance and are equipped with parachutes and floatation bags to compensate for height or deep water.
The Sutherland features a more refined ejection system then the the original found on the RPI-11 Glasgow. With greater efficiency, safety, and overall improved pilot survivability. Most of these improvements ended up retrofitted onto some Glasgow before they were phased out of military service. The Sutherland’s cockpit module ended up becoming standard in Britannian machines and was used on the Gloucester to save resources.
Factsphere Sensor: An advanced sensor that allows the collection of more specific visual data including thermal images, low-light vision, and better long visuals. Typically protected under a layer of retractable armor, the Factsphere must be exposed to collect more sensitive information. Doing so increases the power consumption of the sensor while also making it more vulnerable to attack. The Sutherland’s Factsphere isn’t too different from the Glasgow, though the Sutherland’s head features additional optical sensors to supplement the Factsphere with should it be damaged.
L307 Reinforced Tungsten Armor: A powerful tungsten alloy with lower weight and greater strength than normal tungsten. On top of its protection from traditional ballistic weapons its high melting point makes it resistant to HEAT rounds. The Sutherland has increased and reinforced armor plating compared to the Glasgow which provides better protection of the shoulders, joints, and legs.
Landspinner Propulsion System: Landspinners are sets of wheels built into the bottom of a Knightmare’s foot and attached to the heels on pivots.
I.F.F Transponder System: The “Identification friend or foe” system is used in Knightmare Frames and aircraft. When the Knightmare is in use it broadcasts a signal, encoded for a specific channel, that relays the units location, type, and direction. This allows for tacticians and commanders to see unit movement, status, and destruction in real time on the battlefield. Allowing for more real-time tactical adjustments and the issuing of orders that more accurately reflect the state of battle.
However if the system is compromised it can be a double edged sword. Should the IFF data be used by an enemy in a captured unit they can get an accurate view of their enemy’s strength and strategies. IFF transponders can be removed and most black market or salvaged Knightmares either have their transponders modified or gutted entirely.
Weaponry
Handheld Armaments
25mm Assault Rifle/with 40mm Grenade Launcher: Carried over unchanged from the Glasgow. A rapid fire coilgun chambered for 25mm rounds kept in a large drum magazine at the back of the gun. Its high rate of fire allows the Sutherland to fire with impunity when on the move, permitting the strafing of targets as it approaches or passes. Mounted on top of the rifle is a 40mm grenade launcher fed from the top by a 10 round box magazine. This grenade launcher can be removed and replaced with a sensor scope assembly for greater accuracy when firing the coilgun while stationary or on the move. When not in use it can be stored on the rear of the Sutherland, just beneath the cockpit.
90mm “Giant Cannon”: Another weapon carried over from the Glasgow. A recoilless 90mm cannon capable of being fired from the shoulder or turned upside down and fired from the hip. Though possessing a lower rate of fire and a smaller magazine compared to the assault rifle, the “Giant Cannon” has greater damage and penetration over distances. It can fire solid armor penetrating shells or high-explosive ammunition for use against fortifications or structures.
Fixed Armaments
x2 Slash Harken: Two magnetically propelled blades attached to wires and a reel system on both sides of the Sutherland’s chest. The Slash harkens of the Sutherland remain largely unchanged compared to the Glasgow.
x2 Stun Tonfa [Optional]: Folded up along the forearm and folding out from the elbow, the Tonfa is a thick metal bludgeoning weapon that can used to bash vehicles. Quickly deployed it can also be used to block attacks or engage in melee with other Knightmares. Though seemingly identical to the Tonfa equipped to Glasgow, the Sutherland’s Tonfa come with a high voltage-stun gun built into the base. It can be used by itself to shock enemy Knightmares or used in tandem with the tonfa to electrify them for greater damage dealing capacity.
Chaos Mine [Optional]: An experimental weapon being field tested in Area 11. Despite its name the Chaos Mine is a Knightmare use air-burst hand grenade. When activated and thrown the Chaos Mine telescopes open to reveal a cylindrical core. This core begins to rapidly rotate suspending the grenade in the air while unleashing a continuous spray of armor piercing shrapnel for several seconds. The downward firing cone of shrapnel is relatively narrow compared to other grenades, its duration and focus of the spray makes it extremely difficult to dodge and deadly to Knightmare frames. Though powerful they are still being tested and aren’t available in great numbers to troops yet.
Technical History
Four years following the deployment of the RPI-11 Glasgow and efforts were made to begin developing its replacement. The first mass production Knightmare had taken the world by storm, proving not only the viability of Knightmare Frames as a weapon but changing how Britannia waged war. Yet as time passed it became clear Britannia's enemies were beginning to develop their own Knightmares and it became abundantly clear the Empire could not afford to rest on their laurels if they hoped to maintain military dominance.
A number of designs were developed over the course of six months and a refinement and trial period followed after that. Near the end of 2015 the RPI-13 Sutherland, the first mass production 5th Generation Knightmare was formally adopted by the Holy Britannian Army.
The Sutherland was a striking departure from the Glasgow. It featured a refined cockpit design, a simplified ejection system, better life support systems, increased armor plating shaped specifically for better defense, improvements to landspinner speed and balance, and an improved operating system. While some of the improvements were backwards compatible with the Glasgow many were not. Before long the Sutherland began to quickly overtake its predecessor.
Compared to the Glasgow the Sutherland was actually slower and had less mobility, as the additional armor plating and heavier frame canceled out the improvements to landspinner speed. Yet this was the only area where the Sutherland suffered in comparison. The extra armor and greater durability complimented Britannia's aggressive tactics and focus on blitzkrieg-like offenses.
Additional armaments developed alongside the Sutherland specifically for it and future Knightmares simply sweetened the deal. With greater defense, superior firepower, and improved pilot suitability there was little reason to retain the aging Glasgow. In just two short years the Sutherland had completely replaced the Glasgow and became the main-stay Knightmare Frame of the Britannian Army.
As of 2017 the Sutherland stands as one of the most mass produced Knightmares in the Empire. Yet with rapid advancements in the field of Knightmare Frame technology and the production of a high-performance officer unit, many feel that the writing is on the wall for the Sutherland. Until the day its replacement comes and possibly well after that, the Sutherland will remain a valuable tool in Britannia's global efforts.
5th Generation Mass Production High-Mobility Knightmare
"Forward we march
To conquer those who defile the graves and honor of our forefathers
For the everlasting glory of the Emperor"
To conquer those who defile the graves and honor of our forefathers
For the everlasting glory of the Emperor"
Unit Description
The Gloucester stands with a similar profile to the Sutherland having visibly identical arms and upper legs. However, Gloucester's head has a much more compact design lacking the protruding horn antenna of the Sutherland. A deep v-shaped slit hides sensors in its darkness, micking the eye slits found on old Knight helms. Its shoulder armor is broader and larger, with a sleeker and more advanced design offering superior protection. The lower parts of its legs have also been redesigned. They’re streamlined and more boot-like, having pointed toes instead of the cloven-hoof like segment on the Sutherlands feet.
Painted a dark purple or a color of the pilot’s choice, the Gloucester is often seen riding onto the battlefield with a ballistic cape and a lance in hand. Though the changes to the Gloucester may seem minimal compared to the Sutherland, its enough to make all the difference and give it a commanding and aristocratic air.
Technical Information
Height: 4.29 meters
Weight: 7.75 metric tons
Manufacturer: Ashford Foundation, Holy Britannian Empire
Operator: Holy Britannian Empire, reserved for officers, nobility, and those with high societal status.
Accommodation: Pilot only, standard cockpit on back.
Equipment and Design Features
•Cockpit Ejection System: The same refined system found on the Sutherland, carried over with the entire cockpit block design.
•Design Feature/Equipment Here:The same system found on the Sutherland. In fact the entire cockpit block of the Gloucester is identical to the Sutherland, taken and used modularly to save on costs and repair time.
•I.F.F Transponder System: Like the Sutherland, Gloucesters feature I.F.F transponders so their positions can be tracked on the battlefield by commanders and allies. This allows for greater coordination and helps ensure friendly fire incidents don’t occur as often.
•Landspinner Propulsion System: Though visually identical to the landspinners of the Sutherland, the Gloucester’s landspinners are faster and more efficient. With more power consuming parts being added in to boost performance.
•L307 Reinforced Tungsten Armor: The armor of the Sutherland is more or less the same in terms of strength and placement, with only minimal improvements meant to tweak pilot survivability. Side by side the Sutherland and Gloucester have roughly equal durability, with the primary difference in survival being mobility and speed.
•Upgraded Factsphere and Comms: Being designed for user by officers and top-notch soldiers, the Gloucester features superior communications to the Sutherland. A commander on the battlefield is useless if they don’t have the proper means to command. As such its compact head stores high-grade communication gear. Its Factsphere has also been enhanced with redesigned internals that take up less space.
•Ballistic Cape: Plenty of Gloucesters enter combat wearing a cape, fixed to the top of their shoulders and extending down the back of their Knightmare (with the cape cut not to cover the cockpit). Often colorful or baring the personal family crest of the pilot, most assume that these capes are simply useless aesthetic nonsense used to appeal to the egos of nobles. Those who assume that however often realize their mistake. The capes worn by Gloucesters are flame retardant and woven from a bullet resist material. Shifting the cape or wrapping it around the Knightmare’s arm can improve defense, all while looking great. Explosive bolts can be detonated to detach the cape at any time should it become a hindrance.
•Improved Performance:Compared to the Sutherland the Gloucester is faster and more mobile, with greater strength in the limbs that give it an advantage in melee combat. This is thanks to the implementation of upgraded parts added to the internal systems of the Knightmare Frame. These parts consume more power than the Sutherland, then thus decrease the operation time in comparison, but the drop is minimal and the benefits justify it.
Weaponry
Weapons are categorized as either 'Handheld' or 'Fixed'. Fixed weaponry typically comes standard on a Knightmare and isn't removed when other hands are. Handheld weapons are what the unit can carry with it into battle, but not necessarily what is always has on them. List them out individually and describe them in detail.
Handheld Armaments
•25mm Assault Rifle/with 40mm Grenade Launcher: The same weapon used by the Glasgow and Sutherland.
•90mm “Giant Cannon”: The same weapon used by the Glasgow and Sutherland.
•Anti-Personnel Assault Rifle: A Knightmare use rifle with a large top fed magazine. Unlike other weapons available to the Gloucester, the APAR is useless against other Knightmares. Its ammunition isn’t powerful enough to do any meaningful damage to the armor of even the most obsolete Knightmare. However it does have its uses. The rifle is designed to fire micro-munitions suited for ripping apart and killing lightly armored targets, namely people. In situations where damage must be minimized to the surrounding area the APAR is used to accurately gun down infantry or dissidents. It can be fired full auto or fired single action, having considerable accuracy even over fair distances.
•100mm Anti-Knightmare Sniper Rifle: A large, long barreled linear rifle fitted with a bipod and a bottom fed magazine containing ten rounds. This 100mm sniper rifle was designed as an anti-Knightmare weapon. Highly accurate with high penetration, it can punch clean through most Knightmare Frames and easily blow off the cockpit with a well placed shot. The rate of fire suffers as a result of this power however as there is a considerable delay between shots as the rails inside the gun charge. The AK-Sniper Rifle also cannot be accurately fired on the move and is unwieldy to carry into battle. As a result it is required for a Knightmare to be stationary while using the rifle to use it effectively.
Fixed Armaments
•x2 Slash Harken: The same Slash Harkens used by the Sutherland.
•EM Jousting Lance: A long, wide metal lance with a razor sharp point similar to the jousting lances of medieval times. The lance alone is a deadly weapon, able to be wielded with a single hand or with two hands. Thrusts and stabs with the weapon can puncture Knightmare armor, and with sufficient speed a Knightmare can be run clean through to the cockpit with a direct hit.
However the lances carried by the Gloucesters have an additional feature. Inside the lance is a small generator that produces an electromagnetic field. When the lance punctures an enemy, the generator activates and creates a field that can potentially damage the internal electronics of enemy knightmares. Slowing down parts or burning out components completely. The lance also incorporates a set of four expanding prongs around the base of the lance that can retract to trap and possibly disarm enemies of their weapons.
•x2 Swords[Optional]: The Gloucesters used by the Knightly Orders in Euro Britannia almost always come equipped with a pair of swords. Stored on the back in sheaths, the sheathes rotate and pivot to allow the swords to be drawn from between the arms of the Knightmare. Though lacking any kind of enhanced cutting blade, the swords are strong and sharp enough on their own to make deadly weapons. They’ve been slowly growing in popularity with Glocuester pilots in the Homeland and have begun appearing more frequently in Britannia.
•x2 "Sattel Waffen" Missile Launchers[Optional]: Five-tube missile pods mounted to the sides of the rear cockpit. Fired over the shoulders the Sattel Waffen can be used to target airborne or ground based targets using the guided missiles stored inside them. This gives the Knightmare equipped with the system greater anti-air and longer ranged attack options. They aren’t reliable when fired on the move however and are meant to be used stationary, the biggest drawback of the system for mobility focused Knightmare Frames.
Technical History
As the enemies of Britannia began to develop their own Knightmare frames and steal Britannia’s obsolete designs, the Holy Empire of Britannia found their once wholly superior forces slowly sinking down to a rough parity with their enemies. In order to combat this and maintain their superiority Britannia continued its development of new Knightmare frames. Shortly after putting the RPI-13 Sutherland into production, work began on a higher performance Knightmare Frame for use by officers, nobles, and veteran troops.
The Gloucester would be designed to use parts and weapons from the Sutherland to save on development cost and prevent logistical problems. However even with these constraints the Gloucester proved to be an impressive machine with greater speed, mobility, and close quarter combat abilities then the Sutherland. Its design was intended specifically to invoke the noble knights of old.
During the trial period of the Gloucester the designers knew they had a success on their hand when they had nobles and blue blooded soldiers alike all scrambling for the privilege to test the unit. After being put into production the Gloucester became a staple on the Britannian battlefield with units being used by those who could be considered true warriors. Even members of the Royal Family utilized the Gloucester, either customizing models for themselves or supplying their personal guard with the unit.
The unit became widely used by the Knightly Orders of Euro Britannian, who built entire elite units lead by Gloucester Knightmare frames. Considerable efforts were put forth to ensure the Gloucester didn’t fall into enemy hands or end up on the black market. Britannia wished to ensure the Gloucester remained untarnished by the hands of the unworthy and that it would remain a symbol of the righteous nobility well into the future.
7th Generation Prototype Knightmare Frame
"Marching Ever Onward to Tomorrow."
Unit Description
The Lancelot is a sleek white and gold Knightmare frame with a more humanoid silhouette then that of the Sutherland or Gloucester. Its head is compact like the Gloucester but doesn't seem to mount a Factsphere on its head, instead it has two human like green optics for collecting visual data with a helmet like point at the back of its head for recieving data. The Lancelots shoulders are pointed and jut sharply outwards and away from the machine. Armor plating covers its lower legs were white, newly designed landspinners are fixed. Attached to its forearms and on its hips are small, buckley like devices.
Technical Information

Manufacturer: Britannian Special Research Division “Camelot”
Operator: None at this time.
Accommodation: Pilot only, customized cockpit on back.
Equipment and Design Features
•Extremely High Performance: The Lancelot's frame incorporates Sakuradite in it and uses it in almost every system it has. These advancements improve virtually every aspect of the Knightmare allowing it to leap great heights, move at blinding speeds, and react faster than most pilots can act. In terms of performance it makes every previous Knightmare look like a toy by comparison. However this raw performance comes at a cost: The Lancelot’s operation time is extremely limited compared to other Knightmares and it burns through its energy fillers quickly. This limits it to short engagements or forces it to make frequent resupplies. •x2 Miniaturized Factsphere: The Lancelot mounts two, small fact spheres on the sides of its upper torso. Decreased in size and actually made more powerful, the fact spheres working in tandem consume more power but allow for rapid high-quality data collection on the field of battle.
•x2 Blaze Luminous System: Mounted on the Lancelots forearms are two, small buckler like emitters. When activated the emitters project a light green energy field in the shape of a diamond shaped shield. These shields are largely impenetrable by conventional weaponry and can protect the Lancelot from an extreme amount of punishment. However the shields consume great quantities of energy when in use and will run down the Lancelots operation time even further.
•Advanced Landspinner System: The Lancelot’s Landspinners are different in design to other Landspinners found on later generation Knightmares. They employ magnetic technology to increase the rotation speed and output of the wheels, giving significantly more output and speed.
•Harken Booster System: The Lancelot’s harkens are fitted with small booster rockets that greatly increase the speed at which they fly and return. Greatly increasing damage output and overall control of the Harkens.
Weaponry
Handheld Armaments
•VARIS Rifle: The Variable Ammunition Repulsion Impact Spitfire rifle is a highly experimental weapon being tested on the Lancelot. Using similar energy projection technology to the Blaze Luminous system, the VARIS rifle fires bright green energy projectiles at high speeds using magnetic weapons tech. These projectiles can punch clean through even the heaviest of conventional armor and can be adjusted in size and power depending on what is required for the situation. While immensely powerful the VARIS rifle has a limited number of shots and draws on the energy of the Lancelot when used.
Fixed Armaments
•x4Slash Harkens: The Lancelot has four slash harkens, two mounted on its hips and two mounted on its forearms. This gives the Lancelot more avenues of attack and it can even use the slash harkens mounted on its arms as blades for melee attacks. These harkens give the Lancelot a greater degree of mobility when climbing or scaling terrain and are fitted with a booster system to make them all the more deadly.
•x2 Maser Vibration Sword: Kept in a pair of sheats on the Lancelot’s back that rotate to allow them to be drawn from between the arms are special swords. The Maser Vibration Sword combines extreme heat and high oscillation rate to greatly enhance the cutting power of the blade. When activated the blades go from a standard steel grey to a dark crimson red color. Carrying two and able to wield both with ease depending on the pilot, the MVS is a deadly melee weapon that can take advantage of the Lancelot’s extreme speed.
Technical History
The brainchild of Earl Lloyd Asplund, the Lancelot was originally conceptuallized as a powered exoskeleton meant to empower the wearer. With the advent of Knightmare Frame technology however the direction and concept of the Lancelot changed. Over a number of years of development Lloyd Asplund and the Camelot Engineering corp eventually produced the first ever 7th Generation Knightmare Frame.
It employed a great number of revolutionary new technologies and a performance unmatched by any unit that came before it. Extreme boosts to mobility, defensive shielding, potent weaponry, and more. All this is thanks to the greater application of Sakuradite in its systems and technologies.
Of course while ground breaking the progress the Lancelot has made comes at a cost. The Lancelot is extremely expensive, so much so that mass production isn't remotely feasible with its current design.
On top of that many in the army aren't particularly confident in the Lancelot. Its abilities haven't been fully field tested or shown off due to the reluctance of pilots to deal with the potentially dangerous prototype.
Not helping the fact is the Lancelot has everything...except an ejection system. It was forgotten in development and ultimately never implemented due to the already high cost of the unit and the difficulties adding a standing cockpit ejection would present to the meticulous design of the machine.
As of now the future of the Lancelot is uncertain and the unit is mainly being used to farm data for the refinement and creation of future 7th Generation Knightmares.

Unit Description
The Burai is a Japanese copy of the RPI-11 Glasgow. Its legs, arms, shoulders, and torso are all identical to those found on the Britannian Glasgow. However changes have been made to the head, giving it an almost spider-like motif to its face where the Factsphere is hidden beneath. Armor plates were added over its hands to protect its manipulators and assist in punching. And an anti-personnel machine gun was added just beneath the torso. They are typically painted in dark grey colors, or an olive green color for those used by the JLF.
Technical Information
Height: 4.56 meters
Weight: 7.53 metric tons
Manufacturer: Kyoto House, Militarized District of India
Operator: Japanese Resistance, JLF
Accommodation: Pilot only, cockpit in torso.
Equipment and Design Features
.•Cockpit Ejection System: Being a mechanical copy of the Glasgow, the Burai utilizes the old-style of ejecting cockpit. While not up to par with the systems on modern Sutherlands they nevertheless help preserve the lives of countless resistance fighters and allow for suit escapes with the pull of a pair of handles.
Unchanged from the Glasgow design.
•L307 Reinforced Tungsten Armor: A powerful tungsten alloy with lower weight and greater strength than normal tungsten. Small arms fire is completely ineffective against it and its high-melting point makes it resistant to HEAT rounds. The Burai’s armor is light compared to Knightmares that would come after it, making it somewhat more fragile in combat against other Knightmares.
•x2 Hand-mounted Protectors: One of the notable differences that sets the Burai apart from the Glasgow. Small armored plates on pivots fixed to the wrists and extending back over the hands. They act as small shields, protecting the manipulators from damage or attack and giving the Burai a small boost in its ability to block attacks unarmed.
Weaponry
Handheld Armaments
•25mm Assault Rifle/with 40mm Grenade Launcher: A rapid fire coilgun chambered for 25mm rounds kept in a large drum magazine at the back of the gun. Designed by Britannia many Burai use Japanese made copies or rifles stolen from Britannian supply depots. Mounted on top of the rifle is a 40mm grenade launcher fed from the top by a 10 round box magazine. When not in use it can be stored on the rear of the Burai, just beneath the cockpit.
•90mm “Giant Cannon”: A recoilless 90mm linear cannon capable of being fired from the shoulder or turned upside down and fired from the hip. Though possessing a lower rate of fire and a smaller magazine compared to the assault rifle, the “Giant Cannon” has greater damage and penetration over distances. It can fire solid armor penetrating shells or high-explosive ammunition for use against fortifications or structures.
•8-Tube Wrist Missile Launcher: One of the few original weapons built for and carried by the Burai. The launcher is two 4-tubed missile launchers connected in the middle with a handle and a firing mechanism. When held the Burai’s arm is slipped in between the missile tubes. Though simple it has proven to be a good weapon, disposable but capable of taking out a number of airborne or ground based targets before it runs out of missiles.
Fixed Armaments
•Torso-mounted Anti-personnel Machine Gun: An infantry caliber machine-gun mounted just beneath the torso of the Burai. While ineffective against other Knightmares it is an ideal weapon for mowing down enemy soldiers and shooting up lightly armored ground vehicles. It has a high rate of fire and a good amount of ammo, but it's vulnerable to being damaged.
•x2Slash Harken: Two magnetically propelled blades attached to wires and a reel system on both sides of the Burai’s’s chest.
•x2Elbow-mounted Tonfa [Optional]: Folded up along the forearm and folding out from the elbow, the Tonfa is a thick metal bludgeoning weapon that can be used to bash vehicles. Initially developed for the sake of conserving ammunition when destroying obstacles or small vehicles, the Tonfa has come into use as a melee weapon against other Knightmares. Its thick enough it can be used to stop and deflect most bladed weapons carried by other Knightmares.
Technical History
Shortly after Japan’s conquest by Britannia, it became apparent that the only way to effectively fight Knightmare frames was with Knightmare frames. Of course Britannia did their best to safeguard their new weapon and in the early years of Japanese occupation stealing Glasgows was a difficult and dangerous task. However when Britannia developed a replacement for the Glasgow, the old units were rapidly phased out. Many wound up in scrap heaps or downgraded and given to local law enforcement.
Due to the sheer volume of Glasgow however, many Britannians in charge of their disposal got greedy. It wasn’t long before they ended up on the Black Market and found their way into the hands of terrorists around the globe. Japanese Resistances made considerable efforts to get ahold of the outdated Knightmares. So many were gathered that the Kyoto House, the secret funders of countless resistance groups in Japan, was able to reverse engineer the RPI-11 Glasgow with the help of designers from the Militarized District of India.
Though many were left having to scrounge for parts or old Glasgows, Kyoto was able to begin providing locally produced Knightmare frames. Their performance was more or less identical to the Glasgow with certain modifications to help make them visually distinct and improve them in subtle ways. Most of the Burai units produced by Kyoto ended up going to the Japanese Liberation Front with the scraps going to whatever resistance groups could prove themselves.
As of 2017 the Burai is just as obsolete as the Glasgow, but is still used to combat Britannia and launch operations to weaken them. There are talks of trying to develop local variants of the Burai to diversify the roles and abilities it has...

Unit Description
The Burai Kai is a modified version of the Type-1R Burai and is largely unchanged in terms of design. It retains the hand protectors, the chest machine gun, and the redesigned frontal head segment. Most of what makes the Burai Kai different is internal, but the most striking visual change are the addition of to long, backwards stretching antenna. The top half of the antenna are rigid while the segments pointing downwards are flexible. They resemble the legs of a grasshopper. Burai Kai have bright green optics and are either painted in dark colors, or the pilot’s personal colors. Technical Information
Height: 4.37 meters
Weight: 7.48 metric tons
Manufacturer: Kyoto House, Militarized District of India
Operator: Japanese Liberation Front

Equipment and Design Features
•Enhanced Performance: The Burai Kai from the outside appears to be a minor variation of the regular Burai, having virtually all of the same equipment and specs. However this couldn’t be any farther from the truth. Extensive modifications have been made to the internal systems of the Burai to enhance performance. Despite still being considered a 4th Generation Knightmare Frame, the Burai Kai has performance on par with that of the Britannian Gloucesters. This is at the cost of being more expensive and more difficult to repair compared to the standard Burai, but most consider it a worthy trade off.
•Cockpit Ejection System: Being a mechanical copy of the Glasgow, the Burai utilizes the old-style of ejecting cockpit. •Revolving Blade Sword: The primary weapon of the Burai Kai and special to is is the “Revolving Blade Sword”. Developed in the Militarized Zone of India and shared with the Kyoto House, the Revolving Blade Sword is a Knightmare sized weapon styled after a traditional Japanese katana. Super heated rotating teeth, similar to a chainsaw, run along the edge of the blade for the entire length of the sword. This gives the Revolving Blade Sword extreme cutting power, allowing it to cleave through the bodies of most Knightmare Frames with ease.
Despite having similarities to it, the Revolving Blade Sword is not an attempt to copy the Britannian M.V.S system. In fact the Revolving Blade Sword predates the M.V.S, leading most to believe it was simply a case of parallel thinking in regards to design. Revolving Blade Swords are rather rare and only currently equipped to the Burai Kai.
Technical History
With the development of the Burai, the Japanese finally had a Knightmare Frame that they could locally produce in secret. However due to being based off of a 7 year old design its performance was lacking. Despite this the largest resistance cell in Japan, the Japanese Liberation Front, was able to use the Burai to its fullest and filled its forces with a great number of the Knightmare Frames.
Having gained favoritism amongst the Kyoto House, the JLF approached them and requested a higher performance Knightmare Frame. They wished to have something to outfit their best troops with in order to rise them above the others and inspire confidence amongst their men on the battlefield. Kyoto House, after communicating with their contacts in India, granted the JLF what they wanted.
The Burai Kai was a customized, high performance Knightmare with speed and capabilities on par with those of the RPI-209 Gloucester. This came at the price of a fierce price tag and difficult maintenance, but the JLF didn’t care. Produced in small numbers the Type-1RC Burai Kai was given to the JLFs elite troops and has been used exclusively by them up until now.
However as concerns about the JLFs direction grow and their favor in Kyoto House wanes, other resistance groups wait with bated breath at the idea of being gifted a Burai Kai to use themselves.

Unit Description
The Raikou is a large electromagnetic cannon mounted between the shoulder segments of four heavily modified RPI-11 Glasgows. One arm has been removed from each glasgow unit, with that particular shoulder joint being connected to the cannon. The remaining arms have also been removed and replaced with linear guns. All of the heads of the Glasgows have been removed and fitted to a large disk situated on top of the gun with columns coming down and connecting to the Glasgow bodies through where their necks would have been. An ammunition cylinder and a large battery bank are connected to the Raiko to feed it what it needs to operate.Technical Information
Height: 5.03 meters
Weight: 22.44 metric tons
Manufacturer: JLF
Operator: JLF
Accommodation: Pilot and gunner in modified tandem cockpit on one of the Glasgow’s backs.
Equipment and Design Features
•Large Sensor Dish: A large dish mounting the heads of four Glasgows. Fitted with a number of sensors and carrying the four Factspheres of the Glasgow heads, the Raikou has a full 360 degree range of vision and sensory coverage. Its able to use all four Factspheres in tandems to identify enemies at a distance and to help improve the accuracy of shots made with the main gun.
•x4 Landspinners: Four sets of Landspinners from the Glasgow bodies bolted to the gun. With these the Raikou can traverse the terrain and move around easier it could if it had to rely on treads. Though it can move at decent speeds for a weapon of its size and weight, it has little in the way of evasive mobility.
•x4 Yggdrasil Drive: Four Glasgow bodies provide four Yggdrasil drives, all fed from a large external energy filler, to power the Electromagnetic Shrapnel Cannon. What one drive couldn't do alone four drives are able to achieve, giving a frightening amount of power to the otherwise crude weapon system.

•Electromagnetic Shrapnel Cannon: The primary weapon of the Raiko and the one it is literally built around. A high power linear cannon capable of firing rounds at tremendous speeds. Upon leaving the barrel the rounds the Raiko fires separates into dozens of metal balls. All of which fly forward in a veritable wall, with enough speed and power to smash fortified walls or tear apart enemy knightmares. Though a charge time is required between shots, the tandem Yggdrasil Drives help to keep the time manageable. In a narrow corridor or an enclosed space the Electromagnetic Shrapnel Cannon is all but impossible to dodge.
•x4 50mm Quad-Linked Linear Gun: Replacing one arm on each Glasgow body are a high caliber linear guns. Drawing from the tandem Yggdrasil drives, the guns fire volleys of 50mm rounds at insane speeds. The cannons mounted on the rear glasgow bodies aim between the armpits of the Glasgow bodies in front of them. Though a secondary weapon meant to ward of units that manage to get close, they are still powerful and highly accurate.
Technical History
Since Britannian’s invasion of Japan using their Knightmare Frames, many have sought to develop and design Knightmare Frames of their own. However few have the knowhow to do so and even fewer have the facilities and materials needed to undertake such tasks. While Kyoto House has considerable industrial capabilities, most weapons supplied to resistances around the world are developed and produced in the Militarized District of India.
However when one supplies resistances and dissidents all around the globe, its difficult to play favorites. Believing they needed to take the first step to producing their own domestic designs, the JLF worked to create a weapon using what they had available. Using four salvaged Glasgows and materials stolen from the Britannian military, the JLF developed the Type-5R/11G Raikō.
Though crude and cobbled together in appearance, the Raiko represented the best engineering minds that the JLF had available to them. Built around a single powerful gun, the Raiko was intended as an anti-Knightmare frame and siege weapon. Though virtually defenseless should an enemy get close, the Raiko was a monster at a distance. Capable of blasting fortifications to dust and blowing apart Gloucesters as if they were made of paper.
Having only produced a scant few of the weapons, the JLF have kept the Raiko close to their chest. Wishing to save their ‘secret weapon’ for a situation when it can give them the greatest advantage and the best opportunity to harm Britannia.

Unit Description
The Panzer Hummel is a bizarre, tank-like Knightmare frame with two 'heads' mounting sensors. It has large, reverse pointed legs with landspinners built into the feet. Its arms are narrow and end in long, heavy duty auto-cannons instead of manipulators. The torso of the unit is wide, thick, and visibly reinforced with armor plating across the legs and knees. One of the only recognizable parts when compared to other Knightmares is the cockpit which appears to have been largely lifted from Britannia. Panzer Hummels are either painted a silver color or a dark blue color with white insignia.
Technical Information
Height: 4.10 meters
Weight: 8.79 metric tons with full equipment
Manufacturer: Europia United
Operator: Europia United
Accommodation: Pilot only, cockpit located on back
Equipment and Design Features
•Cockpit Ejection System: More or less stolen from the ejection system of the Glasgow, Panzer Hummels have cockpit ejection systems that allow the pilot to escape to safety. It lacks some of the amenities of the newer Britannian models but is still nonetheless the functional.
•Crude Landspinners: The Panzer Hummel’s Landspinner system is crude, built into the bottom of the Knightmare’s feet like roller skates. They cannot be retracted and are always in use. While not an optimal design they do have decent output and are able to propel the Panzer Hummel forward at high speeds. However they don’t allow for the sudden change in direction and mobility as Britannian Landspinners.
•Holographic Cockpit Display System: Despite the Panzer Hummel’s crude, almost primitive design in comparison to Britannian KMFs, the cockpit features impressive technology. Using holographic displays and keyboards to minimize space used by hardware. This is just one example of how the E.U is actually more advanced than Britannia in certain areas.
•Heavy Composite Steel Armor: The Panzer Hummel is fitted with heavy armor made from steel and ceramic composites. Though high in weight, the armor provides excellent protection from ranged weaponry when applied in bulk. As a result the Panzer Hummel is capable of taking a beating from a distance. However the armor is ill suited to stopping blades and melee weapons often wielded by Britannia Knightmares.

Fixed Armaments
•x2 Double Barreled 40mm Auto Cannon: In place of proper arms and manipulators, the Panzer Hummel has two arm mounted 40mm auto cannons. With two barrels and high capacity magazines fed from the back of the gun, the guns allow for a high volume of fire and are fairly accurate over distances. They can do serious damage to Knightmares and shred them to pieces if they’re caught standing still out in the open.
•x2 20mm Machine Gun Fixed to the hips are a pair of secondary machine guns chambered for 20mm rounds. They don’t have the range of the auto-cannons but have an equivalent rate of fire. They’re often saved for when enemies get close or when dealing with smaller targets on the ground.
•x2 3-Tubed Missile Pod: Stored in the torso and folding out below to fire, Panzer Hummels carry a pair of small missile pods with them. Though small the missiles are typically used when dealing with airborne targets that the Panzer Hummel might have difficulty hitting with their guns.
•x2 Spike Slash Harken: Stored on the hips are two small, spike shaped slash harkens. Ineffective as weapons, the Slash Harkens are used primarily as a tool for helping the Panzer Hummel over difficult terrain or to descend from cliffs. However due to the design of the unit it can’t take advantage of the Slash Harkens like Britannian Units can.
Technical History
Shortly after the Britannian Empire took over Japan, they used Area-11 as a launch point to invade northward into Russia. Normally the freezing cold of siberia would deter any invasion, but the terrain was easily conquered by the Holy Britannian Empire’s new weapon, the “Knightmare Frame”. The United Republic of Europia had heard the reports of the weapon but dismissed it as either propaganda or an unconventional novelty.
When the Britannian Empire began to cut through the harsh, frost bitten terrain of the E.U’s Russian territory it became abundantly clear they had made a mistake. Infantry, tank troops, and VTOLs were cut down in great numbers by the Britannian’s new weapon. Desperate the E.U rushed to develop their own Knightmare Frame using whatever they could steal or develope themselves.
Using stolen design elements from the RPI-11 Glasgow and what they could come up with themselves, the E.U began develope. However the E.U military was out of their element. They were so used to conventional weaponry that few knew how Knightmares were supposed to be used, and even fewer were willing to use them. However none could raise objections with the Britannians cutting close.
After a troubled development period the E.U had finished development of their own Knightmare Frame and put it into mass production.
Their creation, the Panzer Hummel, was modeled heavily off of a tank. It lacked the human articulation and mobility of Britannian Knightmares. The unit didn’t even have proper arms or legs. Instead the Panzer Hummel focused on raw speed, armor, and fire power all of which was more or less bolted to the frame.
By the time the Panzer Hummel was deployed Britannia had already taken over all of Russia. The E.U’s deployment of the Panzer Hummel units ended up stopping Britannia’s unhindered march across the E.U’s territory. While Britannian Knightmares were largely superior, the Panzer Hummels had greater firepower and could outrange them in open terrain.
This allowed the E.U to set up massive defensive lines with Panzer Hummels acting as mobile weapon platforms, moving forward or backward as needed. Of course, Britannians would soon recognize the weaknesses of the Panzer Hummels. If the distance could be closed a Panzer Hummel was as good as dead in close quarters combat and while fast, Panzer Hummels had inferior mobility and were easily flanks.
Nevertheless the Panzer Hummel allowed the E.U to survive and stalled Britannia’s invasion of Europe for so long that they set up ‘Euro Britannia’ in Russia as a puppet to ease the amount of direct administration and attention that was demanded from that front of their war of conquest. As of 2017 the Panzer Hummel has seen minor improvements, but as Britannian KMF development accelerates the Panzer Hummel seems more and more obsolete as time goes on...

Unit Description
The Gardmare is a small, hunched Knightmare frame even more vehicle like then the E.U's panzer hummel. Painted black with red highlights, the Gardmare is built of a small chunky body, a pair of Landspinner treads, and two arms ending in claws and guns with shield shaped armor plates fitted to protect the shoulder joints. A row of circular red optics lines the front of the machine, protected by bulletproof glass and an impact page. A cockpit is fitted to its back but its smaller than usual.
Technical Information
Height: 2.44 meters
Weight: 4.12 metric tons

Operator: Europia United
Accommodation: Pilot only, downsized standing cockpit on rear.
Equipment and Design Features
•Design Feature/Equipment Here:
•Holographic Cockpit Display System: The Gardmare employs more holographic technology then the Panzer Hummel does. Due to the size of the cockpit regular screens couldn’t be installed without problems. So there are no screens in the Gardmare cockpit, only holographic displays letting the pilot see what is going on outside of the unit. While functional it makes the cockpit feel even more claustrophobic and...coffin-like.
•Crude Landspinners: Landspinners based heavily off the ones used by the Panzer Hummel, built straight into the feet with no means of retracting. Redesigned legs however all for more evasive movement and greater sideways movement to permit dodging. As a result the Gardmare is fast and rather evasive, at least compared to the hulking Panzer Hummel.
Weaponry
Handheld Armaments
Fixed Armaments
•x2 20mm Autocannon: Single barreled auto cannons using the same ammo ammo and parts from the Panzer Hummels weapon systems. Though they have less ammo and a decreased rate of fire, they are still capable of dealing damage to armored vehicles and Knightmares. They are built into the arms of the Gardmare with the barrels sticking out from where the claws start.
•x2 Large Claw Arms: Crude, three-digited claw arms fitted to the end of the Gardmare’s arms. Useless for using handheld weaponry, they make for decent melee weapons and for moving debris.
Technical History
The Gardmare was developed as the war with Britannia and its puppet-empire, Euro Britannia, stretched on. While the Panzer Hummel had saved the E.U there were flaws in its design that made it difficult to fill a lot of necessary roles. It was big, it was heavy, and it lacked any real maneuverability outside of going forward or backward very fast. The unit was better suited to blitzkrieg attacks or stationary defense in open terrain. It struggled in urban environments where space was tighter and lines of sight were more limited.
With the distance between vital European cities and the front line shrinking by the day, escorting valuable personal, guarding supply lines, and deploying in urban environments became more pressing matters. Giving up on modifying the Panzer Hummel for the job, the E.U decided to develop a new Knightmare frame to fill the roles it couldn’t.
Limiting budget and forcing the new Knightmare to use as many parts from the Hummel as possible, development dragged until the Mk4-E1E2 Gardmare was finished.
The Gardmare was small, half the height and of the Panzer Hummel. This made it much easier to transport, allowing multiple units to be stored on trailers and brought along with VIP convoys for rapid deployment. This size of course meant that sacrifices had to be made, primarily in the armor and pilot safety.
While using the same armor material as the Panzer Hummel, it was implied in vastly less quantities. This made the Gardmare considerably more fragile, barely able to take more than a few hits before being destroyed. The cockpit ejection system was also removed and the cockpit itself was downsized. Users were forced to pilot standing up and if they wanted to escape they had to bail out the back while the Gardmare was still moving.
However the decrease in size and armor, as well as a redesigned set of legs, meant the Gardmare was very fast and vastly more maneuverable then the Panzer Hummel. The Gardmare was capable of strafing and actually dodging attacks, using its crude claw manipulators and single barrel 40mm auto cannons to engage with enemies.
While not exactly a great step forward, the Gardmare was functional and even with the risk to anyone who decided to pilot it, the unit helped fill a needed role.
Chinese Federation Knightmare Frames
4th Generation Mass Production Human Wave Tactic Knightmare
”If you are to bow at all, bow low.”
Unit Description
The Gun-Ru is a large, simple Knightmare Frame. Towering above most Knightmares the Gun-Ru is crude with its landspinners built into its feet and into a tail like part that extends backwards. Its body is armless, discounting the guns that fold down from its shoulders. Its sensors are two large, red optics that swivel on deep individual tracks that back back into the head and stretch backwards. Painted a dull olive green with red asscents, the Gun-Ru is vague reminicient of a frog or tadpole. Technical Information
Height: 5.67 meters
Weight: 13.08 metric tons
Manufacturer: Chinese Federation
Operator: Chinese Federation
Accommodation: Pilot only, cockpit located in the main body
Equipment and Design Features
•Internal Cockpit: The Gun-Ru is unique in that its cockpit is internal, front ‘face’ of the machine opens up like a mouth to allow the pilot to enter and exit. Though one would think this would be safe they would be mistaken There is no cockpit ejection system and despite being inside the machine the cockpit is not particularly well protected due to the poor armor materials of the Gu-Ru. Cramped and with no protection or easy means of escape, the pilot of a Gun-Ru must fight to the bitter end if they wish to survive.
•Steel Armor: The Gun-Ru uses simple steel in the construction of its armor, not even applied in very large amounts. As a result the Gun-Ru, despite its size, has little to no protection against attacks from other Knightmares.
•Crude Landspinners: The Gun-Ru, like the Panzer Hummel, has its landspinners built directly into its feet with another mounted on a tail like extension that helps it keep balance. Unlike the Panzer Hummel the Gun-Ru’s landspinners don’t grant very much speed and given the Gun-Ru middling movement abilities. Without very much speed or mobility, the Gun-Ru has little hope of avoiding attacks.
•Crude Manipulators: Despite its appearance, the Gun-Ru does actually have manipulators. Folding up into the body the crude, clawed manipulators can be deployed for desperate melee attacks or the rare instances where the Gun-Ru has to carry something or do something besides rush down enemies and shoot them.
Weaponry
Fixed Armaments
•x2 20mm Shoulder-mounted Machine Guns: Unfolding from the shoulder are two rapid fire machine guns fixed to the Gun-Ru. Though inaccurate their high volume of fire makes aiming necessary in most cases and they’re capable of doing considerable damage to most Knightmare frames.
•x2 75mm Bottom Shoulder-mounted Cannons: Mounted beneath the shoulders are a pair of 75mm recoilless guns. Fixed forward into a firing position they cannot be pivoted or aimed without moving the entire body of the Gun-Ru. Despite this the guns are rather powerful and can do serious damage to a Knightmare with a direct hit.
Technical History
The Chinese Federation was one of the first to learn about the Holy Britannian Empire’s new weapon. Unlike the E.U, who waited till the last minute to develop their own Knightmare, the Chinese Federation started their development as soon as they realized the sheer destructive potential of the technology. However they were limited by their own lack of technological progress and the fact that most of the best engineers in their domain wanted nothing to do with the government.
So development for the Gun-Ru dragged on until eventually a finished unit was slapped down for review.
The TQ-19 Gun-Ru was incredibly crude. Due to the complete and total lack of a walking mechanism (something that even the Panzer Hummel had whoever crude) many considered the Gun-Ru to be a ‘Psuedo-Knightmare Frame’.
It was large, heavy, had poor armor due to the quality of materials used, and possessed little in the way of speed or maneuverability. However the Gun-Ru had functional weapons capable of destroying Britannian Knightmares and was dirt cheap to produce in large numbers. As a result the Chinese Federation saw it as the perfect weapon for their army and produced it by the thousands.
The Chinese Federation had long since given up trying to beat its enemies in the area of quality. It instead fully committed itself to the use of human wave tactics. Whenever they faced off against an enemy or were confronted by issues within their domain they would send a glorified rain of armed infantry and Gun-Ru bearing down on them. A single Gun-Ru or even a squad of Gun-Ru could be felled with ease by even a Glasgow. But a hundred Gun-Ru, or even a thousand Gun-Ru?
China had no shortage of manpower and with places like India under their domain they had the production capacity to meet their bloating, burgeoning army. As of 2017 a.t.b the Gun-Ru is one of the lowest quality Knightmares around but is still used by the Chinese Federation who has showed no sign of replacing it.
Middle Eastern Federation
4th Generation Long-range Artillery Knightmare Frame
”Your faith must be greater
Then your fear"
Then your fear"
Unit Description
The Bamides is truly massive compared to a regular Knightmare frame. Its design is reminicent of an element with a large, long headless body, 'ear' like portrusions mounting guns, and a massive trunk like cannon mounted on its front. It has two frontal 'legs' and a third 'leg' stretching backwards. They don't move but instead mount hover thrusters and Sand Panels that allow it to freely move over the ground with little resistence. A large rectangular box at the back of the machine houses the command center. The entire unit is painted a sandy beige and covered in heavy armor plating.
Technical Information
Height: 11.19 meters
Weight: 90.29 metric tonnes
Manufacturer: Middle Eastern Federation
Operator: Middle Eastern Federation
Accommodation: 4 gunners, 1 commander, and room for more located in a command module at the rear of the machine.
Equipment and Design Features
•Sand Panels Installed in the place of legs or landspinners are a series of Sand Panels. Sand Panels are a kind of hover-engine technology that allows for an equipped unit to freely move across loose or difficult terrain such as sand or mud without any noticeable loss in speed or performance. Thanks to the Sand Panels the Bamides can move unrestricted across the hot, loose sand that moves large portions of the middle east.
Weaponry
Fixed Armaments
•300mm Belly-mounted Linear Canon: A massive cannon with a long barrel, capable of hitting targets from considerable distances. The damage the cannon can do by even lading close to a target is considerable, allowing the Bamides to destroy anything that has the misfortune of coming within firing distance. Its slow rate of fire is only to be expected given its massive size. Being fixed in place to tbe belly. the Bamides must turn its body and angle itself upwards or downwards in order to fire.
•90mm Auto-Cannon: Mounted on the right side of the unit on one of its ‘ears’ is a 90mm auto cannon. With a high rate of fire and high caliber gun is capable of tremendous damage in a short span of time. Its range is limited and it is mainly intended as a mid-ranged weapon.
•40mm Machine Gun: A rapid fire machine gun intended to shoot down targets that somehow get into close-range of the Bamides. Mounted to the left ‘ear’ of the unit.
•x2 6-tube Heavy Missile Launcher: A pair of 6-tube, high yield missile launchers are mounted on top of the unit. Intended to be fired in barrages at distant units or launched at approaching air attackers, the missiles are powerful and have a range almost equal to that of the Bamides main gun.
Technical History
The Middle East, throughout its long and troubled history, had become close friends with strife and conflict. With the rise of the great superpowers the warring and divided nations in the middle east banded together to create the “Middle Eastern Federation” in order to protect its members from conquest by large foreign powers.
Due to its location in proximity with the Chinese Federation and the E.U’s African holdings, the Britannian Empire marked the Middle East as a target. Suspicions on the M.E.F and E.U’s parts however allowed the Middle Eastern Federation to prepare. With assistance from Europia United, the Middle Eastern Federation designed and produced their very own Knightmare Frame.
Of course many debated if the finished product could even be considered a Knightmare frame.
The SBI-1a “Bamides” was a colossal machine towering over all other Knightmares and weighing almost a hundred tons. Heavily armored and loaded down with long ranged weapons, the Bamides had nothing resembling legs, arms, or the staples of what the rest of the world considered Knightmare technology.
In the end the Bamides was little more than a weapons platform fitted with hover units that let it more easily traverse the desert. However while it was helpless in close quarters combat, the Bamides was a monster at a distance. When Britannia invaded the middle east they were forced to fight the M.E.F in large open areas of desert where the mobility of their Knightmares suffered as a result.
Using the tremendous range of the Bamides, the M.E.F crushed Britannian attacks, completely outranging their Sutherlands and Gloucesters and shelling important positions. Like a herd of armored elephants the M.E.F have used the Bamides to strike back against Britannia with all of their possible might.
Despite this however the Holy Britannian Empire has made steady progress in their takeover of the Middle East. The Bamides sole advantage is its range and should a Knightmare get close enough there is little it can do to defend itself. Most feel all Britannia needs is one decisive victory against the M.E.F’s Bamides to put them down for good...
