It was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Lily approached the base of the stairs with caution, making sure to open the door ever so slowly as to not catch the attention of the undead. At first glance, it seemed as if the lobby was empty, but the girl knew better than to make such an assumption given her previous experience, a mistake that would be etched in her mind until she too passed away.

Lily practically hugged the wall as she made her way to the exit, her eyes darting from the main counter to the tables that were knocked on their side to practically every other sort of obstacle that was large enough in size. It was then, while Lily was mildly distracted by her surroundings, that she felt someone tugging her hard by the arm and pulling her into another room. Lily tried to scream purely out of instinct, but the hand that covered her mouth beat her to it.

"Don't make a sound, you got me?" James whispered, noticing the girl had a gun on her waistline. She simply nodded in response. "I found my sister dead, with a bullet hole in her head. You wouldn't have anything to do with that now, would you?" This time, she shook her head. James eased up his grip, shoving Lily just the slightest to create some distance between them. "You wouldn't—"

Suddenly, both of them heard growling, and they stared at each other for a moment.

"We should probably go," she finally said.

@Xandrya One of the zombies notice the two of you, and begins to slowly move your way, growling.

"That's a good idea...we've been spotted," he motioned behind her.

Lily turned around to see one of them slowly heading their way. Shit! "Do we shoot? I mean they'll be attracted to the noise."

James loaded a couple of rounds into his shotgun. "Step aside," he ordered, readying his weapon.

"Wait, no!"

He looked at her before taking aim. "Unless you want to get hurt, I suggest you move out of my way because shotguns are unpredictable." He placed his finger on the trigger, waiting a couple of seconds for the zombie to get closer before taking the shot.

4 Hit, serious wound

The zombie was blown in half from the shot, not dead, just a crawler now.
But it did alert the other 3 zombies, who moving towards y'all now.

The stranger across the street and hidden from sight, upon the rooftop, takes aim at one of the zombies, and fires!

The stranger's rifle jammed up on him, "Damn, guess they're on Their own for a while. "
He ducks down, trying to clear the dislodged bullet from the chamber.

The girl looked around the room. "Watch out." She sidestepped and took a couple of shots at the window, shattering the glass as it fell into a mess everywhere in front of her. Not waiting for James to say anything further, she tucked the pistol back in her waistline and rushed towards the opening. James, a bit impressed by her quick thinking, slung the shotgun on his back and followed her, looking behind him to see other zombies breaching the doorway.

The stranger cleared the jammed rifle and took aim at a zombie reaching for the girl.

Part of the zombies head was blasted off by pfffft sound, as the zombie was knocked back against the wall.

”Watch out!"

The zombie came out of nowhere, and James was sure the girl was done for. He didn’t have enough time to reach around for his shotgun, but a shot came out of nowhere and knocked the zombie back. Lily turned around in time to see the zombie getting hit. In the midst of her distraction, the girl missed a step and took a bad fall, twisting her ankle. She quickly tried to get up with James’ help but the moment she set her foot down, the throbbing pain was made apparent.

"Damn piece of junk." Lucas said as he tossed it across the rooftop.

It appeared as if the zombies weren’t cutting them any slack.

”We gotta be careful, the shooter on the roof can’t get all of them." Lily and James both looked around as he helped her huddle over to another building with a half open door.

”We’re going in there?"

”You’d rather stick around?" he responded, suddenly sweeping her off of her feet to speed up the trip. ”We could have more coming this way, who knows."

The bullet grazed the zombie in the shoulder, but it was the sound that made the zombie leave the couple.

Lucas stood up and fired 3 more shots into the air while yelling to get the zombies attention.

Both of them had reached the front door, and James put Lily down, looking behind him.

”I hope our guardian angel will be okay, maybe we’ll meet him." James looked back at the girl.”I wouldn’t count on it," he added matter-of-factly. That didn’t men James wished ill on him, but realistically speaking, he had just drawn a lot of attention to himself in order to help them out so his chances of survival at this point wasn’t looking too good.

”Come on, let’s get inside." The man slowly pushed opened the door with his foot, shotgun at the ready.
