An uneventful two days had passed before the carriers made their way over the city of St. Johns. Dana made her way up to the front of the cockpit of the Wing 1 and heard the intercom report, “Wing 1, we have arrived at our target location. You are clear for landing.” From the voice she could tell it was General Neustadt signaling their arrival in St. Johns.
Dana made her way between Gawel and Zachariah when she responded, “Roger that sir. We’re headed out on our mission now.”
“Good to hear the enthusiasm Captain. We look forward to your return and we hope it won’t be long before Kecker is brought to answer for his actions these past years.”
“It’s sure a time to look forward to. We’re going to drag him back here kicking and screaming if we have to.”
“The shuttle will have capacity for the Gundams along with the Tallgeese. Select the other three pilots as you feel fit. The others will have to remain as defense for our forces here on Earth. I recognize its borderline suicide to send only one squadron, but it is the most we can afford for the moment.”
Dana knew these odds would be against her even with the Gundams prepared. She tried to find out if the Earth Sphere’s past tensions worked over when she asked, “Will the Coalition be willing to cooperate if they plan on joining in on our attack?”
“Possibly. Only count on it if they show a direct agreement to the joint attack. If they have no hostility towards us, do not make things worse for us by engaging them. We must work as close to a united attack as we have available.”
“Got it sir. The Sol Invictus will be our target above everything else.”
“Good to know Captain. I can only hope that the war will begin to wind down as soon as Kecker is made to answer for his crimes. Return to us safe Captain. We look forward to your success. Good luck out there Captain. Dismissed.”
“Thank you sir.”
Zachariah turned to Dana when he asked, “So we land now and we’ll be ready for launch?”
Dana looked outside at the spaceport the carrier was nearing when she answered, “You’ll have to find out when they get there. They’re just waiting for the right alignment now.”

Dana saw the pilots were still seated and spoke to them for the group’s final decision before landing. “Get ready for the drop off. Something I need to let all of you know we’ve only got enough space for another three Panther pilots. I know it’s a forgone decision but right now me, Donna, Mercurio, Milou, and Naina are the default picks heading out there to meet with Kecker’s coordinates. This is going to be a mission demanding nothing short of success. I didn’t expect all of you to sign up for this but I will need another three pilots who are prepared for this final stretch.”
Gawel answered from the cockpit area, “You can count me as another default sir. You still need that buster rifle adjusted and reworked accordingly.”
Mercurio considered the changed behavior of his fellow pilot when he commented, “This operation has really changed you Gawel. Months ago you probably would have been hiding in a corner unless she called you over.”
Gawel leaned on a nearby wall when he considered, “Yeah I guess so. But every bit of help goes a long way doesn’t it?”

“This is mission control we read your preparations at optimal levels.” The shuttle of eight pilots was given the clearance as soon as the mobile suits were loaded.
Oleg was able to hear the pilot nearby answer the call reporting, “Roger control. We’ve got our target coordinates aligned.”
One of the pilots sitting next to him asked, “So you’ve been to space before Tsubarov?”
Oleg decided the issue wasn’t much of a problem when he asked, “Yeah a few years back. Can’t say I have mediocre skills at least. But that’s pretty much why we’ve all been selected for this mission right?”
“Eh… Well most of us at least.” One of the pilots behind him answered in a reluctant tone.
Oleg turned around to notice him while asking, “Your name private?”
“Fiala sir.”
“Once you’re up there just keep the basics in mind. Otherwise make sure you stay on the simulator for as long as possible. If we’re lucky we won’t have to face the Sol Theros before too long.”
“Sounds like something I can work with.”
The conversations were cut short when the intercom signaled, “This is mission control. Primary ignitions are engaged. All pilots strap in for launch.”
“Let’s get ready.” Another one of the pilots said buckling in.
“Launching in 5…4…3…2…1… Liftoff.” With the final words the shuttle blasted towards the atmosphere of the Earth and prepared to breach its entry.
Oleg held his eyes shut for the ascension when he prayed to himself, “We’re giving everything today. It just needs to be enough.”

Norma was at the head of the assembling fleet of newly built battleships when she observed the Earth from below. The things she had heard just a few hours ago were only piling onto the concepts and strategies she had to deal with. She was still a leader among her men however and knew she couldn’t let uncertainty cloud her judgment. She was determined to see the Sol Invictus be stopped. He thoughts were interrupted when one of the crewmen reported, “Admiral. We have word on Moscow. The shuttle has launched and we will be receiving the pilots soon.”
“Good to hear. Do we have the course prepared?”
“We’ll be ready in the next six hours when the rest of the fleet has assembled. The majority of L2’s forces will be heading this battle sir.”
“We’re about as concerned about Kecker’s plans as the Earth Sphere is. It’s only unfortunate they won’t be able to ally their full strength to this one.”
One of the young strategists pointed out the possible advantage, “The Gundams ought to pack enough of a punch though shouldn’t they?” Norma knew it was an unfortunate generalization for a younger recruit to make but the power they would be able to bring warranted few doubts.
Norma considered this viewpoint when she agreed, “They might. We’ll have to hope these new pilots are ready for a mission of this scale. Their Sol Thero units were enough to destroy two of our fleets before, it’s up to them to make a difference when we face them in battle again.”
“In that case we should just be glad to see the Gundams will technically be on our side this time.” Another one of the strategists breathed.
Norma turned to face them when she announced, “This will be a joint effort among all of us. We won’t let one side take all of the credit for what happens at the structure and we won’t give them a reason to make such a claim either.”
The other strategist agreed, “We’ve got the forces that might offer some assistance at least.”
One of the crewmen observed the fleet gathering from behind them pointing out, “Against the Sol Theros though? We’ll have to hope we’re something more than just lambs being sent to the slaughter.”
Norma reminded the rest of her crew, “Doubts do not win wars. We have to give ourselves the strength to destroy the enemy if we are to return with their destruction.” The crew showed signs of encouragement as they went back to their workstations.

There was a raise of hand. "I volunteer to go." Suchart declared. "I'm tired of this war. I was running away for most of my life, escaping Bangkok and how hunted by the Earth-Sphere for a short time." It was some depth that he never showed. At the same time, it showed that he recovered from his depression.
"I'll be going along also." Instructor W announced. "While the Captain and the Gundams are fighting, I will commandeer the shuttle and assist Gawel in the repairs of the Mobile Suits." He felt that he was regaining his old determination. "Now we have one vacant seat left."

Lord Lindemann submitted the information on the OZ forces that will join the mission to Malcom. With his work done he left his carrier to go to the Rogue Wings. On the way he was joined by Stuart. "I heard you already chose the forces that will go to space." He said.
The Lord gave a nod. "I did." He replied. "I need you to go there also."
The Baron was surprised with what he heard. "Wait, you're sending me?" He responded, off-guard.
Lindemann's eyes turned to him. "I need a second in command to lead my forces." He explained.
Stuart realised that he didn't talk about the commander. "So who will be the commander?" He asked.
Lord Lindemann just pointed at the unloaded Sandesgeist. "She'll be leading OZ in that battle." He continued. "I'll remain here for some unresolved matters."

Tano felt the shuttle leaving the atmousphere. It was his first time, living in the colonies since he was born. When gravity left the shuttle he knew it will be safe to roam the shuttle. He was already surprised to find McNeil tending to the Gundams. "How did you get here fast McNeil?" He asked, obviously surprised.
McNeil turned his face to give his reply. "I'm used to travelling between Earth and Space." He explained. "I know when I'm able to get out of the seats better."
Tano was convinced with what the engineer said. He took a minute to look at the two Gundams lined up with the Leo IIIs about to get their verniers for space installed.

The carrier began to land when Gawel and Suchart had volunteered for the mission. At the first chance he had to offer Zachariah stood declaring, "If there's going to be anyone to follow I say I should Captain."
Dana knew there was probably an amount of drama built around this moment but she didn’t bother bringing it back up when she thanked, “Good to see you have some fight left in you Maddox. I know it’s going to be a lot to handle but you volunteering will give us the full power we need to face the Sol Invictus.”
Zachariah agreed, “I’ve got Suchart’s way of thinking as well. Even if the war doesn’t end overnight I hope this will at least make it seem that much more pointless.”
“How long before we launch sir?” Mercurio asked.
Dana looked outside and saw the preparations for the shuttle when she guessed, “It should be about another half hour before preparations are complete. I suggest you get suited up and get ready for launch.”
Mercurio agreed when he rallied the others, “Roger that. Let’s head out guys.”
Dana began to lead the eight pilots outside but turned to the others ordering, “The rest of you, you’ll be situated here for the defenses of this port. If there’s any conflict happening, be sure to follow suit on the orders of high command from Quebec.”
Nasir saluted, “Easy enough sir.”
Cinzia was next to him when she agreed, “We’ll be waiting for you to return sir.”

Malcolm saw the carriers making their touchdown in St. Johns space port when Devine reported, "We have another 8 hours before our arrival in Quebec City sir. We'll be able to see the launch from here. Also OZ has committed to the mission and will see to its success."
Malcolm considered the high risk stakes when he looked down at the nearest terminal, "Our final hope for an end to this conflict. Is it still possible for our forces to turn this war around?”
Devine reminded him of the “We have the descendants of many former fighting men prepared for this conflict. I wouldn’t call it unrealistic to place some faith in them sir.”
Malcolm looked up when he accepted the promise, “You might be right. These aren’t little boys and girls who dreamed of playing war. These are men and women who have been through many hardships. Resolve is only the first step to placing a proper foot in conflict.”
“And in some cases resolve is the only thing necessary to making a difference of any kind in war.” Devine added.

When Edward finally had a moment to himself he waited next to his computer with his plotting in mind. He heard his doorbell and motioned to open it. He saw one of his guards standing at attention in disgues as an Earth Sphere soldier when he offered, "Please come in."
"Very well." The guard stepped in and became less tense when he was in the presence of his superior. He still maintained a proper posture if the need to salute came however.
"Did you retrieve it?"
The guard took out thumb drive when he answered, "Yes sir. We obtained the signal necessary for the contact."
"Very good. Give it here." Edward placed it into his computer drive and found the file containing the Earth Sphere’s communications table. He opened his communications device and entered the proper signal necessary for bypassing any Earth Sphere surveillance. He found the signal before commanding, "Attention New Brunswick. This is Override Commander 019 enacting Emergency Protocol 08. The enemy leaders have revealed their location of refuge, Quebec City. Assemble every available force to prepare for an invasion. The new siege is soon to begin." He turned off the device when before handing it to his guard when he reminded, "We will at least have a forewarning on the arrival of the Sol Theros. The forces in New Brunswick will be able to signify their arrival."
The guard took it agreeing, "Yes sir. I'll be sure to report it if asked."

On the front lines of Edmundston, Colonel Jason Huerta observed his battle maps while one of his men entered his tactics room with a device in hand. "Colonel. We've received word on some key coordinates from one of our superiors. The enemy is relocating its leaders to this new location and we have the opportunity to catch them off-guard."
The Colonel looked up when he asked, "Where is it?"
"Quebec City sir."
The Colonel was interested in the discovery when he asked, "How have our forces have discovered this?"
"From a message on General Blare's part sir." He played the message from Edward through his communications device.
The Colonel thought over the message for a while before he decided, "Our forces in Pennsylvania should be enough to keep the enemy at bay for now."
The soldier agreed, "They will be. The members of this new OZ will not be able to survive for much longer once we make our way through Washington."
The Colonel dismissed the issue when he moved his focus on Quebec answering, "That will be a secondary concern for now. As of now we will be able to end this war in the Coalition's favor."
"And for the good of humanity as a whole?"
"Of course. The human race will no longer deal with the corrupt politicians that have controlled the Earth for so long." The Colonel looked up again when he asked, “Estimated time of arrival?”
“About another eight hours sir.”
"Prepare a squad to secure the General once the enemy has landed. We’ll have our forces ready to engage them by the time they arrive.” The soldier saluted before running off to the others to relay the order.

"Flake!" Donna exclaimed with surprise at the sight of her brothers. During her absense they got their experience in the North American campaigns. They were also in OZ uniforms similar to Donna's and still had their trademark keffiyeh as well. "So you guys are going to space as well?" She asked.
"Yep." Answered Richard. When he gave a brief salute, the other brothers followed. "Lead us well."
The Gundam pilot was surprised the sudden salutes. "I didn't receive any news of becoming a commander." She commented. Her worries were gone when her father was on sight. "You made me the commanding officer?" She asked, still stuttered with her brothers.
The elder Lindemann realised that he was a bit too late to give the news. "I was going to say it now." He replied. "But they did my work, Colonel." He had a slight laugh at his miss.
The brothers saw how their father was declining in sanity as visually seen. "We heard the truth also." Christoph commented. "We're ready to get Kecker for what he did."
Donna took her first job as the commander for the mission. "I order the Lindemann team to report to their shuttles. We have less than fiteen minutes." She commanded them.
"Our sister's all grown up now..." Richard sighed with a hint of laughter as they made their exit.
As Donna was going to return to speak to her father, she found him gone, presumably to some other stuff. She gave a sigh and got to the shuttle silo, observing her Sandesgiest being loaded into the shuttles.
"So you were speaking to your brothers?" Milou asked. It looked like he had a glance of them before going to the hangar.
"That was them." She confirmed. "I'm the commanding officer of the OZ forces now." She found the new role a burden. She thought about the journey ahead. "Are you able to see me in one of the cabins in the shuttle later?"
"Sure." Milou answered. "I have some time anyway."

Naina activated her communications device when she stepped outside, "Devine. Will you continue to watch over the President?"
Devine's voice responded on the other line, "Of course. I will see that he is still alive."
"I don't expect much will happen. But I have to be open to the possibility of another Coalition attack."
"It is wise you do so madame. I know you might not have a chance to part with your father, but I will be certain to give my word to him."
"I hope to return. I did not intend leaving home only to fail in my mission."
"You do remember your own personal mission though? Will it not conflict with such a desire?"
Naina paused when she remembered the one mission she had to see done. She didn't let it be heard but instead answered, "Perhaps it might. I can't permit thoughts of my death into the battlefield however. Doing so is the first chance the enemy has of victory."
"Indeed. I wish the best to you and your brother. Goodbye Naina."
"Goodbye." She turned off her device when she went to meet with the others.

A few minutes passed before the pilots were suited into spacesuits and waiting in the passenger seats of the shuttle. Mercurio saw Dana and Gawel leading the cockpit areas while the others strapped themselves in for the launch. It wouldn't be his first time making the lift. "This won't be my last one." He told himself as he buckled his belt.
He could hear Gaewl from the front confirm their status, "Command. We have prepared for our launch. Requesting clearance."
A muffled voice on the other end answered, "Clearance granted Captain. Launch is now commencing in sixty seconds."
Dana had her hand on the ignition levers when she agreed, "We're waiting for your countdown control."
Before she could see the progress to launch she heard Malcolm enter the mission control communications, "Forewarning on your part Captain. The Coalition fleet will be right above us and you will make contact with them as soon as the shuttle breaches the atmosphere. Engage on friendly terms with the Coalition leaders and see that they are willing to assist us."
"Pretty big order. I think they'll see the pointlessness in continuing this war though." Dana promised.
"It will be more than enough Captain. We only hope that your safety has been assured for this journey."
"And after. Good luck Mr. President."
Seconds passed before the mission control voice confirmed, "This is command. We have liftoff. Launching in 5...4...3...2...1... Liftoff." At those words the pilots felt the rumbling of the shuttle as it prepared to launch itself into space. For some it was the first time while for others it was another special trip. For all of them it was the beginning of the hardest challenge they would face in their lifetime.
Gawel grunted through the breaching atmosphere as the shuttle flew up, "This is it. It's time to prove myself."
Dana answered in agreement, "It's time for all of us to become something greater than soldiers."
Zachariah offered his silent prayer, "Roy, Ludwika, Trenton... This one's for you guys."
Naina looked out the side window when she promised, "We ascend into space once again. Now we'll make a difference in this war."
Mercurio was among the determined when he told himself, "We made a mistake in the last mission. Let's make this action the beginning of our redemption."

Malcolm didn't turn around when he heard the shuttles make their climb from the Earth and far into the skies. Devine was still behind him when he confirmed, "The shuttles have launched Mr. President."
Malcolm continued to look out to his destination when he agreed, "Good to know. Once we arrive in the new capital we shall await their return."
"I'm certain the others feel the same way."

Norma looked over the steadily growing fleet while several soldiers continued to offer suggestions to various staff members. She turned to one of the strategists asking, "Has the fleet been assembled?"
"Yes sir. The fleet is gathered and facing the direction of the Earth Sphere's coordinates."
"Sir, we have shuttles coming from below." One of the crewman observed from his computer screen.
"Call up the lead one." Norma commanded. At her request she heard a hail signal recognizing her request. "This is Admiral Miles. Identify yourself."
Dana waso n the other line when she introduced, "Greetings Admiral. This is Captain Houston with the Earth Sphere forces. I believe you were contacted by our leaders of our arrival?"
The arrival was on time and it seemed that the claims of a united assault on the Sol Invcitus would happen after all. "I see. You have the Gundams with you?" Norma asked seeking confirmation.
"Wouldn't be carrying anything else to the Invictus. We just want to make sure we're on the same side. Will the truce be going through?"
Norma finished the need for questioning when she offered, "I promise to act as a supporting lead officer Captain. We will escort you and the others to the coordinates."
"Understood Admiral. Thank you for your cooperation. We'll begin docking shortly. Over and out." Norma turned off the signal leaving input to the others on board.
The youngest strategist was the first to speak, "Sounds like we'll have a chance now."
"We may just. The additional power will do nothing to detriment our hopes of saving what lives we can." She turned to her panel commanding the lower decks, "Prepare the boarding party and see the Earth Sphere pilots accommodated properly for the journey. We'll need their full support."
As soon as she shut off the signal Norma heard one of the crewman ask, "Are we going to forgive them though sir? Just because we have a common enemy?"
"It's because of our common enemy being a Coalition President we're considering the joint attack. What they choose to do with us afterwards will be something to address later." Norma pointed out. "Our real fear should be that this criminal of theirs is a real threat. If they're telling us the truth then we did fight an 11 year war for practically no reason other than a simple demonstration of deception."
One of the strategists showed clear sings of struggling with the concept when he asked, "Do we even have a reason why their President would want to start a war? Especially one this long and devastating?"
Norma wished she had an answer for such an occasion but only managed to muster in a few seconds, "That's the biggest concern we have right now. The fact that we don't know what is making Kecker want to enact a conflict of this scale. If it were for any traditional reason he would have used the conventional and more practical ways of achieving them. With the device at his disposal however, I doubt it's anything along those lines."

Suchart, Donna, Instructor W and Milou joined the minute of silence for the fallen. They were going to make sure Kecker will pay for the deaths he made in the war.
Donna was interrupted by a call from another shuttle. She took a microphone to respond to the call.
"Hello Colonel." Stuart called. "Your father assigned me as your aide. I'll support you when you need something done, by OZ."
Stuart's message was assuring at least for her. "Thank you." She replied. "I won't disappoint our forces in return." She hanged the call.

McNeil received a call from one of the Coalition ships and immediate gave a response. "Sergeant McNeil reporting." He replied. "Aye ma'am. The hangar will be pressurised first before you can enter." Once the hangar was pressurised there was a Leo III carrying a large crate. The crate was dropped on the floor and the pilot got off the Mobile Suit. The mechanic noticed who the pilot was instantly. "Lieutenant Schbeiker!" He shouted with surprise. "It's been a long time I've seen you ma'am!"
Schbeiker saw the salute and had a look at the Golem. "So McNeil, this is your masterpiece?" She asked.
"Aye ma'am." He replied. "What is the crate for?"
"Ammunition and E-Caps." She revealed. "You said you needed a lerge number of them for the Golem. Good luck." Schbeiker returned to the Leo III and left the shuttle. The hangar was depressurised shortly after.
"This was your mentor?" Tano asked curiously.
"Aye." The mechanic answered. "She taught me everything. Didn't expect to see her again after some years."

Once the Earth Sphere shuttles made their way into the area of the Coalition battleships one of the crewman reported their arrival. "The shuttles are entering our holding space sir. We’ll be receiving their forces in just a few moments."
Norma checked the systems on her chair panel when she asked, "Will we be ready to make the jump once they have entered a safe area of the ship?"
Another crewman confirmed, "Right on the moment sir. We'll only need your order after that."
Norma stood from her seat when she made her way down to the exit. "Have all hands prepare for the jump. I'll head down to greet our new allies."
One of the guards near the exit was concerned asking, "You're sure it will be safe sir?"
When the door opened the Admiral answered, "They won't have much to gain if they do manage to seize this ship. Otherwise it will give us a valid reason to take the Gundams for ourselves." She turned on her heel before facing the rest of the crew warning, "Do not try and develop on that plan."
The strategists saluted from their seats agreeing, "Yes sir."

The shuttles were loaded and Norma saw the squads of pilots making their way down to keep watch over her meeting. They stood at attention when allowing her to pass when she searched for the leader among the Earth Sphere pilots. “Clear.” She ordered the group in front of her. The pilots who were forming a line between Dana and Norma were moved aside giving the Admiral a chance to introduce herself. She stood before Dana asking, "Captain Houston I take it?"
Dana stood ahead of the group confirming, "That's us Admiral."
The Admiral saluted when she looked at the mobile suits being unloaded from the shuttle behind Dana. "Good to see. We need every bit of muscle possible for our arrival at the Invictus."
"You have our support Admiral. Just be ready to make good on promising to help us take it down."
Norma’s face turned slightly grim before she was asked to consider this action but managed to hide it by turning to the side. "I'll only offer what men I can to assist as practically necessary. I can't accept offering any more."
Dana had a brief idea of what Norma was thinking but warned, "I wouldn't do it either Admiral. Even then my people have ended up paying the ultimate price."
Norma went back to introductions when she gestured to the hangar bay, "We'll have your mobile suits loaded with the other squadrons. They'll be able to form their own unit afterwards."
Dana led the group of soldiers behind Norma when Gawel caught an eye of the two Gundams held. "So you've had two Gundams all along?"
Mercurio saw the Anaconda when he agreed, "One of them is sure familiar."
Norma confirmed Gawel’s evaluation when she answered, "The Anaconda was our first development on Luna. The Golem however is pretty new. Turns out we're able to build last minute mobile suits regardless of whatever resources we have."
It didn’t take very long before someone could have noticed the signature jet black parts on the Golem the Admiral had talked about. "So that thing was built together from pieces of Sol Theros right? Pretty fitting name if it was." Gawel observed.
"That's the idea. We'll have to hope it's somewhere on the same level of lethality once we arrive though." Norma opened the door to the halls of the ship offering, "If you feel like meeting with their pilots they'll be situated next to your quarters at resting hours. Otherwise you may find them at their respective schedule."
Dana was pleased but turned for confirmation, "You're willing to give us accommodations for the trip?"
Norma confirmed her question, "We don't expect you to withstand the jump to the coordinates in the shuttle bay. You'll be at too much risk from enemy fire if we encounter anything."
Among the collective agreement for the idea Dana turned to the Earth Sphere pilots telling them, “Make your way down to the reserved quarters. Just be sure to act on the conduct these people set up.”
Mercurio understood the order, “Easy enough sir.”
Gawel took out his blueprints reminding, “I have to get to work anyway sir.”
“This jump will only be as easy as the crew we work with.” Naina agreed.

The long hours passed before Malcolm and the remaining representatives found themselves within the airspace of Quebec City. Devine turned to him reporting, "We have arrived Mr. President."
Malcolm stood up when he took a look at the landing pads within the city. "At last. Our forces have been updated on the drop?"
Devine was on the other side when he observed the mobile suits standing on guard outside the city walls. "They have. They are currently overseeing the city and prepared to alarm us on any updates from the enemy or any other invasion."
Malcolm tried to prepare himself for the inevitable when he commented, "I cannot decide which would be worse, but I hope the Coalition will be able to accept our possible alliance."
“If anything we should hope that we do not

Edward took a step onto the nearest landing pad shaking himself of any remaining excitement. “So we have finally arrived.”
“How long will it be before… The Sol Theros arrive sir?” One of his guards asked. Edward knew what he was holding himself back from asking as soon as the pause came up.
Edward played along answering, “They should arrive in a matter of hours. I’m not certain if they require preparations but with only eight units they will require more than just ammunition after all.”
His guard decided not to ask any further questions when he heard a cautious tone grow in his superior. “You’re probably right sir.”
Edward ended discussion on his plan when he emphasized, “It shouldn’t be a matter of further discussion I believe. It will simply happen when it does happen.”
Another one of his guards reminded, “We should only be prepared sir. We have new superiors who are looking out for our best interests right now.”
Edward nodded when he looked at the Earth Sphere officials making their way for the main building, “Yes. That we do.”

Tano was at the reserve room, where he was told that the Earth-Sphere Gundam pilots would be there. He remembers one of the pilots but haven't seen the other two face to face outside of battle. There was once that able to hold againsr him and another one that destroyed his Sagittarius quickly. He saw the pilots entering the room, identifiable by their pilot suits. "I'm Lieutenant Tano Kiprotich." He introduced. "I'm the pilot of the Anaconda Gundam."
Donna was the first to give an introduction back. "I'm Colonel Donna Nada Lindemann of the OZ forces and a Gundam pilot." When with the Coalition she had to embrace her new role as well."
"Ambassador Milou Peacecraft." Milou followed. "I represent the Martian Resistance and fight with the Gundam pilots as an ally."
Tano recognised Milou's face. "You're the soldier who tipped me on the abandoned mines?" He asked him. "I suspected you of being a spy but thanks to you traitors were dealt with."

The Coalition pilots had a chance to talk among themselves as soon as the Admiral and Earth Sphere pilots made their way to the halls. Cao was among the pilots who had a chance to see the Earth Sphere crew make their way through the Executor Rising. She was among the first to voice the group’s greatest concern, “Do you think they’ll be able to offer a decent fight against the Sol Theros?”
One of the pilots reminded, “We did only get a chance to see them in action while basically just slaughtering us at Luna. Although it seems like they’re having as much trouble with their new tech as we did with their policies before the war.”
Another pilot cast out the need for a debate when he answered, “Do you think anyone really cares about who has the moral high ground at this point though? If the Sol Theros will destroy everything regardless of nationality then we probably don’t have time to find out who’s right and who isn’t.”
Cao questioned the sentimentality when she asked herself, “Have we really been so jaded by war that it has become common place for us?”
No one answered the question when someone pointed out, “We have almost the entirety of the Coalition Space Forces with us and seven specified mobile suits on our side. If we aren’t able to do anything after that we may as well go extinct.”
Another pilot provided agreement, “As much as that’s a lousy idea, we should take that to heart. It’s pretty much just a question of how many of those things will be waiting for us when we get to those coordinates.”

"Mercurio Yuy." Mercurio introduced to the others. The Coalition pilots were all new to him but thankfully didn’t seem to have any intention of souring a beneficial relationship. He heard Tano point out his mobile suit and found one connection that neither saw just yet.
At the mention of the Anaconda from earlier Dana realized where Tano went after his mission on Mars.
"I guess I could have anticipated something like this." Dana remembered her last encounter with the Anaconda while she introduced, "I guess it hasn't been so long since Brussels has it? Full name is Dana Houston."
Oleg briefly commented on the affair, "I say fair's fair. Makes sense Milou would get the scraps of a victory. Not really possible to pilot two mobile suits at the same kind." He saluted in a proper introduction, "Oleg Tsubarov." When he saw Naina among them he only remembered her previous alias, "Ah greets Agent. They decided to spare you I take it?"
Naina corrected his greeting, "If it hadn't been for my status with Mercurio I would have been a more likely casualty. Seeing I no longer work for the Coalition now you can call me Naina."
Oleg was visibly curious when he heard the correction asking, "I see. So what brought you in for our side originally?"
"I was only trying to see Franz Kecker brought to justice along with anyone who started this war. Unfortunately it may become more difficult than before."
Mercurio added to the sentiment when he added, "Removing the cause of any war is difficult. If Goslin was telling the truth we might not even have any organization to identify him with."
"A retired old man was in on it too?"
Dana confirmed the confusion when she pointed out, "Possibly one of the first to plan it."
Mercurio summed up the unfortunate circumstances when he evaluated, "If anything it seems that the Coalition's reasons for correcting the Earth Sphere weren't unfounded. Kecker and Goslin both seemed to be prepared for any obstacles that would prevent the Sol Invictus from being used."
Dana cast out the possibility of despair when she said, "We aren't going to achieve anything until we get to the Invictus. Until then we have to be ready to get in this operation to succeed."
Among the conversation the Admiral’s voice echoed through the halls of the ship when she ordered, "Attention all personnel. Prepare for jump to cruise speed. Beginning in sixty seconds."
Mercurio headed for the nearest wall to brace against. “Time to prepare for the jump.”
Dana waited for the ship to make its sudden acceleration when she suggested, “After the jump I think hitting the sims might be a good idea.”

Malcolm looked over a holographic map of Quebec City within his new office. “Have our forces been accounted for General?”
General Neustadt adjusted the map to show the waiting Earth Sphere mobile suits. “Yes Mr. President. We have thirteen squadrons on standby prepared for our land defense. A squad of Spinosissimus units is based along the St. Lawrence River prepared to report on any enemy activity.”
Malcolm gave his approval of the size when he commented, “I hope it remains to be enough. If the enemy has mobile armor prepared to bombard us we will be pushing our luck in surviving another attack.”
Devine was next to remind them of their situation, “At most we should be worried about the Sol Thero units. We may have enough numbers to stand on our own and properly adjusted weaponry could help us. If we are to hold ourselves together we must be able to stand against them.”
General Neustadt reminded the men of a prior encounter, “From previous reports seven squadrons were supposed to be enough to hold their own against two Coalition fleets. We may have an even playing field in a case such as this one.”
Maclolm turned to the General when he ordered, “Focus our resources on intensifying our weapons. If possible gather what resources we have to build more mobile suits and recruit more pilots. We will need as many of them as possible.”
The General saluted before he left, “I shall see the order is given to the mechanics sir. We will not be shorthanded.”
“There will be a point when we should consider the way of living for our people won’t there Mr. President?” Relena asked.
Malcolm turned to his Vice President confirming, “Of course. However our safety must be the foremost concern for now considering the threat that awaits us. We cannot rest until we are absolutely certain there won’t be any more attacks from the Sol Theros.”
Relena couldn’t bring herself to question the situation any further when she agreed, “I must admit there is truth to that sentiment. At the same time I am concerned about how much this will affect our future policies.”
Malcolm saw Relena’s concern before he continued, “Trust me. I have no intention of militarizing the entire city or anything of the like. For right now we have to remain realistic and prepare for worst case scenarios.”

The patrol of Leo III and Sagittarius mobile suits outside Edmundston waited for the enemy to appear while the base was silent from the recent abandoning of its forces. The remaining Captain contacted his furthest unit asking, “How are things looking out there Unit 5?”
“Pretty calm sir. We still haven’t got any signs of enemy activity.”
Another pilot entered on the conversation asking, “Has the General really got an idea of the enemy making its way here?”
The Captain affirmed Edward’s order when he reminded, “He should be correct if he was using the enemy intelligence.”
A more cynical pilot warned on the line, “Keep your eyes open. The enemy waits for sudden opportunities such as these.” Seconds passed while the Unit 5 Leo III made its way across the base keeping search for enemy units. For what came next luck was necessary to survive.
The Leo III turned to notice a warning signal while the pilot tried to warn, “Captain! I’ve got missiles!”
The Captain turned his unit asking, “What?! Where?!”
“They’re headed this way fr- AHHH!!!” Unit 5 was destroyed in an instant.
“Unit 5 report!” The Captain tried to make sense of the disappearance when the unit’s signal went dead only to conclude the worst had happened. “What the hell?” The Captain didn’t try to make sense of the situation when he warned, “The enemy is making its way here! Don’t let them through!!”
“Captain! I don’t thi-“ The Captain heard another unit go down.
The Captain saw a volley of fire blindside a nearby unit. “How the hell is this happening? Are the Gundams out here?” He asked no one in particular.
One of the Sagittarius units observed the recent destruction warning, “Captain, the enemy is picking us off too fast!”
“Get it together! They can-“ The rest of the units were destroyed as before the order could be given or any warning sent. The six Sol Thero units swiped simultaneously with their beam sabers without a scratch on them.
The units processed their programming to determine, ‘Targets eliminated. Proceed to destination.’ With the course set the squad of Sol Theros began to make their way to the nearest military installment. The emergency capital awaited them.

"Not sure if the sims here are of any use judging by how we're fighting enemies not on there." Tano remarked with skepticism. He took the brace stance for the jump also.
McNeil entered the room with some news. "I updated the simulators to include the sol Thero units from the data we have." He announced. To prepare for the jump he quickly left the room.
Seeing the positions taken Donna and Milou took the stance. "Am I able to find a room later?" She asked. "I need to make battle plans for the OZ forces and I need somewhere to concentrate."
Tano raised an eyebrow but decided to answer. "At the barracks F-4 should be vacant." He gave his reply. "It isn't a meeting room but if you need it it's your call."

The OZ forces shuttle were also docked in Coalition battleships. With Donna with the other Gundam pilots Stuart was in charge of managing them. "So Till forgot about our ground defence that he sent most of the OZ forces here." He thought as he looked at the view of Earth from a starboard's window. "He's clearly lost his mind now." He gave a salute to the Coalition captain of the ship. "Our commanding officer for the battle is in the flagship." He explained.

The final sixty seconds had passed when the engines of the Executor Rising and other ships prepared for their destination. One of the operators observed the halls of the ship reporting, “All hands have been prepared for the jump Admiral.”
Another one had aligned the fleet with a projected course on the holographic map signifying, “Coordinates have been set. All forces are ready to make the simultaneous jump. Once we start we’ll be clear of the projected enemy fire. At least just barely.”
The Admiral wasn’t shaken at the idea when she ordered, “Keep us as close to it as possible.” With a final grip of her hand seats she warned, “All hands prepare for jump.”
The fleets of the Coalition made their way through the preparations and in the few seconds that passed the crew throughout the ships could feel the pressure equivalent of breaching Earth’s atmosphere. The 28 battleships left a streak of light behind before disappearing from the sight of anyone on Earth.
While the ships were in the jump Norma requested to her operators, “Prepare the gravitational fields.”
“Activating now.” “All personnel. Resume normal activity once gravitational fields have taken full effect.” The days would come to pass and the fate of the Sol Invictus was soon to be determined.

Dana recognized what little they had on the Sol Theros when Tano reminded her. “It’s still a chance to get used to everyone’s tactics firsthand. For the most part we’ll just have to take what advantages we have over the enemy and use them to form the best possible strategy.”
Gawel was next in agreement when he “And make sure that our weapons are up to date with the armor they got. Speaking of, your mechanics have a surplus of energy packs for energy rifles right?”
Oleg found the agreements to be hopeful when he told Naina, “Looks like our people will be okay with your people at least.”
Naina nodded to the observation but reminded, “It had best be enough. As far as this next battle is concerned, we won’t be facing other people.”

Days had passed as the Earth Sphere and Coalition sent its forces to investigate the threat of Kecker’s weapon. Testing and preparations were made as shown by the walls given new armaments and an increased patrol. The progress required resources however and regardless of the time of day they were accepted by any shipment making its way in. It was late at night when one was making its way in towards the city with the main guards making sure of the clearance.
The truck pulled over with the driver meeting the Earth Sphere officer when the officer asked, “Can I see you identification soldier?”
“Sure thing sir.” The driver produced an ID card matching his face.
The officer ran it through a scanner before confirming the truck’s purpose, “It’s legit. They’ve got the parts we need.” The gates opened and the shipment was allowed to enter.

Edward found his computer light up as soon as the trucks made their way into the city base. It may have been late at night but he didn’t show any sign of having just been awakened. “At last. They have arrived.” He accessed his secure channel contacting Colonel Huerta, “Colonel. Have you infiltrated the base as planned?”
The Colonel’s voice on the other end confirmed, “Yes General. We’ll have their mobile suit hangars taken before long.”
“Excellent. Prepare the men to raid the base. I shall require some special protection when this is all done.”
“You’ll recognize the damage when we’ve started sir.” The Colonel promised before signing off.

The truck made its way to the nearest garage when the driver reported to one of the Earth Sphere personnel, “We have a shipment for the mobile suit division.”
The Inspector moved in while he introduced, “Good to see. Let’s get this stuff loaded.” As soon as he made his way to the rear end of the truck he noticed there was a gun peeking out from an open truck door. “What the? Who’s in there?” The Inspector tried to find out before he was shot down and Coalition troops moved out with their mission in mind. The action became more intense when Earth Sphere soldiers recognized the intruders and open fired on their location. The firefight erupted within the corridors of the hangar for the nearby security to be brought to a realization.
One of the leading Coalition soldiers jumped out firing on the nearby guards when he ordered, “We’re in! Move in and get to the mobile suits!”

Malcolm rushed towards the map of the city when he heard Devine report, “Sir! We have an enemy infiltration!”
Malcolm looked over the activity in the hangar area when he asked, “What? How did they arrive in?”
General Neustadt gave his report on the matter, “I cannot say sir. We have our men on the hangar bay grounds infiltrating.”
Malcolm was quick to recognize what their first target would be when he ordered, “Lock down all mobile suits! Don’t let any of them get their hands on them!”
The General promised the situation was being handled when he answered, “Our first priority sir.”
Devine warned of the further implications, “Somehow they managed to find our location. This will not be an easy matter to settle unless they listen to us.”
General Neustadt considered the idea and found a possible solution. “It is possible these men have not received word on the new President’s orders. We must at least make an effort to update them.”
Malcolm agreed to the idea when he made his way to the nearest communications panel, “I shall do so. I can only hope that these are reasonable men who do not wish to continue needless fighting.” It was a few seconds before he saw the face of the Quebec Colonel and ordered, “Colonel. Order all of the Coalition soldiers to stand down. We have no intention of continuing the conflict.”

The Colonel was outside with his gun when he agreed, “I shall do so sir.” The Colonel rushed outside while a megaphone nearby before he warned the Coalition infiltrators, “Attention all Coalition soldiers. We have no intention of further conflict. Please stand down and our leaders will communicate on further terms.”
One of the soldiers was visibly alarmed when he reported, “Colonel! They got a hangar bay open!”
It became evident when several Panther suits began to make their way to the open grounds. “What are they doing out here? We won’t have a chance if they manage to suppress us with the mobile suits!”
The Colonel acknowledged the concern but didn’t find it possible when he saw one of the Panthers preparing its gun and observed, “It looks like they’re aiming at the new Parliamentary Building.”

Edward observed the damage being done outside on his screen before he saw his Colonel report, “We may have an even match with the enemy on the ground sir.”
“A ground battle won’t be required. Not so long as we have even one mobile suit prepared to fire on this building.”
“Sir, aren’t you in there?”
“I am. The enemy will not suspect I am requesting rescue for the moment. Once you have sent in the troops necessary for my protection I shall see that these defeated idealists have met their final hour of sovereignty.”
“Understood General. We’ll move in now.”
“Do make it quick. I suspect at least one is waiting in anticipation for this day.” He commanded before signing off again.

“The Parliamentary Building is right that way. Move in and surround the area.” Several squads of Coalition soldiers made their way to the entrance of the Parliamentary Building prepared to face any Earth Sphere reistance. The Coalition Colonel ended the call again when he brought his attention to the sieged target before him. He announced his presence outside the new Parliamentary Building when he ordered to the leaders inside, “This is Colonel Huerta speaking. Surrender General Blare and we will spare anyone left inside.”

"We did get a large delivery of energy packs." Tano added. "I'll tell McNeil to hand some to you."
Instructor W entered the room to look at the assembled Gundam pilots. It somehow felt nostalgic for him with how he fought the Eve Wars alongside Heero, Duo, Trowa and Wufei with support from Noin, Sally Howard and the Maganacs. He felt that he can trust them all to end the war despite initially fighting on opposing sides. "So I see you're all preparing for the battle?" He asked.
"Just a few bits and pieces." Milou replied.
Donna remembered that she needed to speak with Stuart on strategems. "I need to speak to Stuart." She said, standing up.
"I'll take to the communications brig." The Coalition lieutenant offered. The walk to the brig was short. The room was filled with many communication devices, enough to pass on information to more than a fleet. He turned on one of the radio and adjusted the dial. "This is Executor Rising, which ship houses Stuart of OZ?"
"This is Vengeance sir. He's aboard out ship. We'll bring him in."
Donna took a seat in front the radio while Tano left the room for some privacy with Milou and Instructor W remaining. She heard Stuart's voice from the other side. "Baron Andrew Stuart?" She asked.
"At your service." Stuart gave his reply. "You have a plan already?"
"Not really." She replied.
"You'll probably need a quick speech prepared as well." He pointed out. "OZ supports love those."
Instructor W had an idea. "Can I suggest for Donna to command the forces with the Zero system?" He entered the conversation. "The Gundam pilots and White Fang used the Zero system in the Eve Wars to fight each other and the old OZ."
There was sound of Stuart scratching his head, presumably in suprise. "That can do I guess." He replied. "I guess we're done then. Colonel, looking forward to serve you."
The conversation was hung with a productive result at the end. Donna turned to speak to the Instructor. "Thank you." She thanked. "You've been there for me a long time but I never got know who you actually are."
The Instructor realised she was right with how he hid his past. "You're right." He answered. "Although I taught you everyhing to be a Gundam pilot I never told you who I am." He took off the googles he wore. "I'm Quatre Raberba Winner. I was one of the Gundam pilots from thirty years ago."
Donna had a feeling that he would be someone like that. "Why didn't you tell me?" She asked.
"I thought I failed as a Gundam pilot when the Falson War began." He explained. "And there have been people close to me dying or injured like the Maganacs and Katherine. I agreed with the construction of Sandesgeist because I thought it was the only way to redeem myself."
It was surprising to hear what the Instructor revealed. "Instructor, it wasn't your fault." Donna reminded. "We were all manipulated into this war."
"Thank you Donna." He replied. "You can call me Quatre from now on." He handed the goggles to Donna. "These goggles represented the leadership of the Maganacs. You'll need it to lead OZ also."
The Instructor touched the door knob when Milou spoke. "Sir, my mother also did speak highly of you and the other pilots." he said.
The man gave a smile. "Thank you." He answered. He left the room to leave the two Gundam pilots alone.
Donna blushed when she was alone with Milou. "Can you see me at the quarters later?" She asked. "I want your company alone."
Milou remembered how they weren't able to meet privately after the launch. "Sure." He replied. He saw Donna leave the room and thought of how she's dealing with her new role as OZ's leader.

Lord Lindemann wandered the base to oversee the defences. He was curious with the convoy that just arrived that he had to ask a nearby mechanic. "Any idea where that convoy is from?" He asked. The mechanic just gave a shrug. The attention was turned to the convoy again when gunshots were heard realising an attack. The mechanics immediately worked to seal the Mobile Suit hangars under orders while Lord Lindemann took cover away from the hangar, drawing his pistol. He then realised that the whole attack was a work from someone from the inside. "Blare." He muttered. "A shame he didn't accidentally die in Brussels." He planned his way carefully to the parliament building and paused when a Panther was seized with a beam rifle aimed at the parliamentary building. Blare's treachery was confirmed when he heard the demand for the release of the latter. He looked at the hangar where the Panther was stolen from, thinking of retaliating with another Mobile Suit but the plan was shot down when he noticed the guards preventing entry.

Mercurio, Naina and Zachariah went their own way when the band of pilots was dismissed for now. Zachriah was the first to evaluate the assembly, “Looks like most of the crew isn’t going to have a problem with one another.”
Mercurio was the first to agree, “It should be enough if we have the numbers. Do you think the mobile suit numbers we have are enough to handle an enemy offense?”
Naina gave her evaluation, “It will be up to us once we are on the battlefield. At least hoping Kecker doesn’t have a backup plan.”
Zachariah agreed to their hopes, “It will be up to us to lead them once we arrive. Hopefully Admiral Miles will be able to fend against the defenses.”
Naina brought out one concern she had on this situation, “If we are leading the others will Ms. Lindemann’s new position be enough to make her a true leader though? She hasn’t shown much openness since I’ve at least known her.”
“She’s actually pretty good around Milou. I think she’ll be alright.” Mercurio tried to reason.
“Then she hasn’t had much contact beyond him?” Naina asked.
Mercurio thought for a moment before he accepted, “I guess she never has been a very readable person. At least she comes to us when she has problems though.”
Zachariah noted Naina’s concern when he pointed out, “That has been a common theme. I’ve just been hoping it doesn’t come around to bite her in the end.”
Mercurio was hopeful when he reminded, “It wouldn’t. Milou isn’t going to do something that will distance himself from her. He’ll be able to hold himself out there in the field.”
Naina shook her head when she reminded the common necessity of being a soldier. “You should be more worried about her connection to fellow soldiers. It is the purpose of a unit to rely on the whole rather than one part. It is how a unit is capable of accomplishing a mission even if their superior should die under fire.”
Mercurio looked down when he considered such a possibility, “Perhaps that hasn’t been an addressed issue for her or she just hasn’t been willing to face it herself yet.”
Naina was blunt when she reminded them, “There are going to be heavy losses soon. Right now our hope should be that we are capable of handling them.” Naina found the entrance to the hangar with the Tallgeese Heaven when she began to part.
Zachariah tried to lift some of the pessimism when he added, “Ideally we won’t have to. All of our mobile suits have to be enough to stop Kecker’s plan.”
“I will be sure to support all of us once we arrive. It’s the least I can do for the good of humanity now.” Naina parted.
Now that the two were left to their own, Zachariah decided now was a good time to find out about Mercurio’s recent behavior when he asked, “Speaking of her observation, have you been feeling right in the head since the ascension Yuy?”
Mercurio was reluctant before he answered but left out a few details, “Yeah. I guess I should tell somebody. I found out about a message from Architect I on the Captain’s Gundam. He’s probably dead from what he said.”
Zachariah thought for a few moments before he remembered the former mentor Mercurio thought he knew. “Damn. Sounds like Luna got hit harder than we thought before we left. The guy was ominous and everything but at least it seemed like he was on our side.”
“That’s the only way it could have happened.”
“And that’s the only thing?”
Mercurio leaned on the edge of the hangar bay entrance when he answered, “He had a few other words but they didn’t seem to be prevalent to the mission we have now.”
Zachariah had a resounded tone when he accepted, “If you say so, I guess pushing it isn’t going to solve the problem. We should make sure that we’re ready for whatever Kecker is about to pull off.”
“The worst that could happen right now is if we’re caught in the blast range.”
“Where do you think he plans on firing it?”
“I would have said at a critical Coalition location. After all we have found about him and the others it seems like any target could be possible.”
“That is something to be worried about isn’t it? Especially for something that’s 180 miles wide.”
“If any more lives are lost it will be that much more of a tragedy. Unfortunately if we are going to stop this war now we may have to make such a sacrifice.”

“General. Please follow us. We have secured a way out of the building where the Colonel is waiting.”
Edward made his way for the door when he prepared for his way out. “Excellent work. It is time that I leave this prison then.”
A few minutes passed before Edward could be heard from outside on his megaphone next to Colonel Huerta. “I bring my demands to the Earth Sphere leadership. As has been shown today they have proven themselves incapable of defending against enemy invasions.” Edward gestured for his men nearby to keep watch of the street he had entered. He turned to face the parliament building when he gave his demands, “I have no intention of further killings however. I recognize resources of war when they are still available for further use. What this administration lacks is leadership. One that will not fall prey to any threat. Today I demand this of the Earth Sphere leadership. Lay down your arms and surrender. Declare your loyalty under me and I will see that there is a position for you. Deny and you will be among the casualties.”

Malcolm attempted to keep his calm when he listened to Edward’s demands from outside but still asked in a defeated tone, “How did this happen? We were supposed to be ready for any enemy attacks.”
General Neustadt observed the testing grounds for the mobile suits when he pointed to the recently arriving vehicle, “Not from within it would seem. Even worse they seem to have used a vital supply truck to find their way in.”
Devine looked at the map and saw the perfect trap Edward was able to place the Earth Sphere leadership. “Perhaps now it is only a question of whether or not we deem ourselves worthy of surviving to lead our people.”
Malcolm denied the idea when he placed his hands on the table, “We must be. The Earth Sphere cannot fall to usurpers this close to the end.”

“Hey, you wanted me?” Milou asked as he entered the room. He found Donna on her bed, changed into something more appropriate for an OZ officer. Her keffiyeh was notably not worn.
Donna turned his eyes on him. “Yeah.” She replied. “I’ve been thinking a lot since the whole mess in Brussels and the sudden leadership.” She lightly tapped at the edge of the bed, a way to tell him to sit there.
Milou knew what her body language meant. He sat on the bed, next to the Gundam pilot. “I thought you recovered from that?” He asked curiously. “And what are you thinking now?”
“The chance of surviving this battle will be slim.” She explained. “Our chances are higher by a small margin.”
Milou saw the keffiyeh on a desk nearby and took it. He offered it back to Donna. “I rarely see you without it.”
She looked at her scarf. “Thanks.” She accepted. “Everyone in the family has one. My father wants to remind us of our heritage in the Levant.”
Milou thought of Donna’s body language so far as he did during his days with a cloak and dagger. His analysis skill he used to spy on people decayed after he arrived on Earth.
Donna partially took the keffiyeh. “Even all of us dying is possible.” She spoke her thoughts. “Dying with regrets left.” She looked at Milou. “Can you stay here with me for the night?” She asked. “I need company.”
Milou now understood why he couldn’t figure it out in the first place. He was also in love like Donna. “Sure.” He answered. He walked to the door to make sure it’s locked properly. When he was done, Donna got up and wrapped her keffiyeh to him as well with them briefly sharing a kiss.

Suchart found the room Donna was supposed to be in. He brought with him a bottle of red wine, a vintage from the Iberian Peninsula. “Congratulations.” He remarked. “Everyone in Heaven will be happy (well except for Mercurio maybe). Glad I got this in Brussels before leaving.” He left it at the door and knocked before quickly leaving.

Lord Lindemann still needed to think quick. He was the only one that is able to save the Parliament from outside. One of the Mobile Suit hangars may be lucky to be able to enter from the rear windows but even after seizing a Mobile Suit one wrong move on the stolen Panther can create an explosion that can also kill the Parliament. "Damn it, the things I do." He muttered as he dashed to the rear of one of the hangars. Seeing the altitude of the windows, he had to think of a way to climb up.

While the building was held on lockdown a squad of soldiers led by Hyrum made their way to find Colonel Georges Quessy along with a few soldiers trying to hold their own against incoming Coalition troops. “Colonel! Are you alright?”
The Colonel holstered his gun when he answered, “Nothing severe. Unfortunately the Coalition is going to have us on lockdown. If they have those mobile suits we won’t have any other option than to accept their control.”
“I take it we don’t have a plan to accept those terms?”
“None at all. Unfortunately it is going to require some demanding odds as you might guess.”
Hyrum looked through the streets before he pressured, “We have to get to the nearest hangar. Let’s hope we can beat some of those guys to the punch.” The band of soldiers agreed to this and ran through the streets towards the military installments of the city.

Hyurm and the others found their way to the hangar bay area searching for their only hopes of fighting back. Hyrum turned around the corner of the fence when he found Till trying to make his way into a nearby hangar. "Lord Lindemann?"
Another soldier pointed out, "He's trying to find a way in it looks like."
Hyrum turned to the left when there were more Coalition soldiers making their way towards their location. "Lord Lindemann! Get down!" Hyrum fired his pistol while the others began to rush up to the Lord’s defense. "Provide him some covering fire!" The Coalition forces were spread thin from the view of the Earth Sphere soldiers but soon just about any discovery would be dangerous for their intentions. Their first relief came when the Coalition soldiers seemed to die down for now.

Colonel Huerta turned off his communication device when he reported to Edward, "General, we have the Sol Thero units in our sight."
"The Sol Theros have arrived?" Edward asked no one in particular. "It would seem we anticipated their arrival later than possible." He didn’t choose to let this interfere when he ordered, "Take all of the mobile suits and prepare to meet with them. Don't let a single one be left behind."
"The Parliament sir?" The Colonel asked.
Edward considered the next option when he ordered, "Keep them under our range. We must have them as prisoners."
"Undestood sir." “All guarding units. Back away from the building until the invading forces have been dealt with.”
"It will be a perfect opportunity. Once we have held back the Sol Thero enemies I shall be the only remaining leader left." Edward mused to himself. He stepped back to the nearest building his guards had taken to defend and waited in anticipation.

The Earth Sphere soldiers managed to find several nearby hangars preparing to release their newly acquired Panther units when one of them reported, "They're moving out. The hangars should be open now."
"Come on let's move in. We have to get at least one squad." Hyrum commanded.
Before the soldiers could rush for the nearest mobile suit they were flanked when a Coalition leader ordered, “The Earth Sphere is in there! Stop them!” The two sides were forced into another gunfight when Hyrum saw more of his men fall from the surprise attack.
“Damn it not again!”
“How many of them do we have to fend off?” Two different soldiers commented.
One of the soldiers next to Hyrum pointed out, “More than we can handle at this point. We need to get reinforcements.”
Hyrum worked on his communication device when he prayed, “Come on Major you have to still be there.”

Heero rushed to his phone hoping to find an update on the situation outside. His communication hails were answered when Hyrum’s voice confirmed, “Reporting sir.”
"Lieutenant what is happening out there?"
Gunfire sounded before Hyrum answered, "Major, we've got Coalition soldiers who found their way in. It's possible Blare is trying to usurp power."
"Damn. How else would they have known how to get it?" Heero cursed at the situation. He regained his authority when he ordered, "Maintain your positions. I'll send my men in to assist."
"The more the better sir. We need to keep them from getting the mobile suits."
Heero confirmed the location of the Coalition soldiers when he asked, "They want control of our mobile suit forces?"
"And to fend off against the Sol Theros it looks like. I don't know how many of them we're going to need. We better be ready though."
Heero knew there was no point in trying to find further information when he ended the call, "I'm moving out now." He turned to see Relena overhearing the conversation when he told her, "Stay here. Don't let anyone in."
Relena agreed to his request, "Of course."

The Sol Thero units were approaching the installment of Quebec City without any issue and found their target within range. Their programming took an evaluation of the city. There were mobile suits activating behind the walls while the artillery was being operated. 'Target acquired. All systems engage.' The eight Sol Theros opened their missile ports and fired on the Parliamentary Building. Volleys were fired and the destruction became instantaneous. While Panther units were making their way towards the city walls a number of squadrons had already been destroyed.

Colonel Huerta saw the explosions from afar when the Sol Thero units were "General, the Sol Thero units have already begun to make their way through!"
Edward held himself in this moment of triumph, "Don't let them in! It's time for us to establish our defense!” Right from behind him Edward heard a gunshot fly into one of his guards. “Where did that fire come from?”
One of the soldiers managed to report among the ricocheting gunfire, “Enemy fire! They’re trying to flank us from behind!”
Edward rallied his nearby troops, “Form up on me! Don’t let them near our positions!”

One of the soldiers taking cover next to Heero reported, "We've got them pinned down sir. The only direction they'll have is to head into the building."
Another one nearby asked, "Is it a good idea? They still have the Parliament inside."
Heero quickly overlooked Blare’s tactics in play before explaining, "Blare isn't letting anyone in at the moment. He knows the Sol Theros will endanger his troops. He has too few to hold them for long."
“That would make for a risky operation if they just brought the bare minimum.”
“Trying to take a city is always that way from the inside. At least the Sol Theros should keep them from moving further in for now.” Heero agreed before raising his gun to fire at the nearest Coalition soldier.

Edward found the gunfire approaching his men and he knew what remaining here would risk. “Damn it. I won’t die out here so unceremoniously! Colonel don’t let them in!”
“Yes sir.” Colonel Huerta commanded the nearest jeep driver, “Get the General to safety! Don’t let the enemy pass us!”

One of Heero’s men managed to hear the sound of Edward’s jeep driving away when he assumed, “Sounds like Blare is trying to get to a safe zone for now.”
“At least so he can wait out this battle of his.” Another corrected.
Heero turned to another soldier asking, “Captain. Can I trust you to lead these men?”
“I can do that sir. What do you need me to wait here for?”
“I have to move in and help our boys in the hangar fields.”
“You do that sir. Don’t let any more of our units fall into enemy hands.”
“I hope it will be enough.” Heero agreed. His men formed up on him and moved out to the nearest route for the hangar bays.

A few rounds of gunfire were shot before the Earth Sphere soldiers managed to take out the final Coalition soldiers within. One of the Earth Sphere soldiers reported to Hyrum, "Lieutenant, it looks like we've got one squad secured. But the Sol Theros have already started firing on us. They seem to be interested in the enemy right now."
Hyrum could tell from the number of explosions taking place outside this was probably an accurate assumption. "Don't activate the mobile suits yet. They might find us down here. If we just wait out these guys we should be able to even the odds against the Coalition soldiers."
One of the soldiers from the upper scaffoldings asked, "You're sure they won't get in here?"
Hyrum offered to the men behind him, "If they do then we'll have to give them the best final stand we have to offer. We're not going to let the mobile dolls replace us! Get to those pilot seats and get ready for defense!"
A chorus of, "Affirmative sir!" allowed Hyrum to confirm their preparation.
While they waited on watch one of the soldiers near the entrance pointed, “We’ve got reinforcements it looks like.”
Heero and his squad made their way into the hangar when Hyrum saluted, “Major. It’s good to see you made it here.”
“How many of you are left?”
“We’ve got enough pilots to activate this squad. If you, the Colonel and Lord Lindemann stay behind we should be able to provide some protection.”
One of Hyrum’s men gestured to his right, “The hangar next to us hasn’t been opened yet. There might be enough time to break in and get those mobile suits before the enemy has a chance.”
Heero was quick to form another plan when he ordered, “I’ll need any remaining men you have to form up on me and assist in taking the hangar. We’ll provide assistance as soon as you give the signal Lieutenant.”
Hyrum confirmed the order, “Good and clear sir. Just be sure to move out when we say it should be our only option.”
Heero agreed with the request when he reminded, “We’re here to take back the capital. Not let the enemy overtake us.

Lord Lindemann didn't have time to thank for the cover fire. He utilised crates lying around to give him a boost to reach the window, shooting the glass to make way. He was able to climb in after a few attempts, ignoring his bleeding wrists from the glass. He dropped to the floor of the hangar but was quick to get up with determination. He found the unused Mobile Suits, finally what's needed. He got into a Panther unit and seized a beam rifle. He fired at the hangar door to allow others to claim Mobile Suits. Once the Earth-Sphere soldiers entered he discarded the beam rifle for a sniper rifle. "I'll make a careful shot to prevent the Panther holding the parliament from exploding." He declared to them.

One of the Earth Sphere soldiers was caught off guard when he saw Lord Lindemann rushing towards the nearest unit. "What's he up to?"
When Hyrum heard the warning given from the unexpected pilot he ordered, "You heard him. Move in and get to those units."

As the final Panther units began to make their way towards the battlegrounds facing the Sol Thero units, one of the Captains tried to contact the status of a squad when he asked, "Twelfth squad. Report your status."
One of his units from behind answered, "We're not getting anything from the twelfth squad sir. That stray Panther mobile suit must have wiped them out."
"Damn it they want to flank us! Get back and - AH!!!" The Captain was shot down by the gunfire before he had a chance to continue.
"Captain!"
One of the squad members warned, "The Captain's down! The Sol Theros are headed our way!"
Among the gunfire one of the superiors ordered, "All units back away from the wall! Fire all weapons!"
“Damn it! How are we supposed to handle those Earth Sphere people at the same time?”
One of the remaining captains evaluated, “It looks like the answer is we don’t! Keep your eye on the enemy if you want a chance to live!” He contacted on of the nearby squads ordering, “Rear units! Keep the enemy from getting any closer!”

The Sol Thero units were in close range with the Panther units as soon as their target was acquired. Their programming determined, 'Targets acquired. Process elimination.' With the command given the twin barrel guns gave their volley of fire at an indiscriminate rate. Their programming decided the only way to begin firing on the Parliamentary Building would be to clear a certain number of obstacles before the damage could be done.

Despite the return fire from the Panther units, the Coalition soldiers were being shot down with ease. "Sir! They're mowing us down out there!"
One of the lead units was behind a still standing hangar when he ordered, "Keep firing! We can't let them through!"
"We've got all of our units here sir! Those things aren't moving back!"
The long moments of gunfire continued while through enough lucky shots managed to hit the planet defensors of a nearby Sol Thero. One of the pilots saw the shields go down and took the first available shot. The shot from the beam rifle was enough that it caused the unit to explode. “Got that one!”
One of the nearby Panther pilots warned, “Keep firing! Don’t let your guard down!”
"Keep firing at their defensors! Make an opening and they'll go down!" The Captain ordered.

Colonel Huerta and the others tried to suppress fire against the squad Heero had left in his absence but found the odds were not working as he had hoped. It became clearer when he heard one of his men report, "Colonel! The building appears to be our only choice!"
The Colonel didn’t think any further than beyond the survival of his men when he ordered, "Move in! Keep watch for any Parliament members!" At the order his men made their way into the nearby building while firing at every chance they had against the Earth Sphere soldiers.
One of the Coalition soldiers managed to run in despite two others falling over from gunshots when he asked, "How many of them are out there?"
The Colonel took a quick look at the activity as the squad managed to make its way towards the building. "It doesn't appear there's many by now. We can't let them advance. If we can draw them away from here we should be able to continue targeting the building as we see fit." He tried to find the next possible escape route when he ordered, "We have to meet with the General. Don’t let him be made a target."
“Undertsood sir.” One of the soldiers took out a communications device warning Edward outside, “Come in General. We have massive enemy contact. We have been forced into the enemy’s main building.”

“What is this?” Edward asked out of shock from the range of the Sol Thero fire. It managed to make its way into the city and right in front of his vehicle.
His driver answered, “The Sol Thero units are making their way in. If they approach any closer we’ll all be crushed at this point.”
Edward heard another voice on the radio of the jeep announce, “General. We couldn’t hold back the enemy. We’ve been cornered into the Parliament Building.”
Edward grabbed the radio from his driver when he answered, “I see. Maintain your position. Don’t let the enemy in. If any of the leaders attempt to escape, execute them on sight.”
“Yes sir.” The voice agreed.

As soon as Heero saw the Sol Thero units beginning to fall back from the entry point he had a strong feeling about what their next action was. He decided to throw out the previous plan when he ordered, “Activate your units! Get out there and prepare for evasive action!” None of his fellow soldiers disagreed when they scrambled for the nearest Panther unit.
The units had begun to leave the entryway before one of the last units reported, “Sir! We’ve got another volley of missile fire coming!”
Hyrum recognized their target when the Sol Theros tried to give their suppressing fire on the Panther units still standing. “They’re going to hit the building!”
Heero gave the order, “Aim at the missiles! Don’t let them hit!” The Panther units he led began to fire on the missiles at every chance possible.

The Panther pilots from behind the main line of Coalition defenses tried to prepare for a rear attack but found the Earth Sphere claimed ones were instead firing into the sky. “What are they aiming above us for?”
The pilot next to him corrected, “They’re trying to hit those missiles! Do these guys want to help us out here?”
Their superior was on the line when he ordered, “Take cover! The enemy is dealing more fire!”

Heero saw his unit’s rifle was close to overheating when he continued firing on the incoming missiles. He didn’t need the confirmation but he still heard one of the nearby soldiers warn, “They’re still heading down sir!”
At least the ones that would hit the main body of the building seemed were shot down which led Heero to order, “Back up! Get out of their range!” None of the units protested the idea when they turned away from the incoming explosions.

“What are they headed back there for?”
“It’s f- AH!!!” Were the last words of the pilots as they became victim to the rain of missile fire. The rear units had been destroyed and the entry doors to the Parliamentary Building were hit leaving only a cloud of debris for the escaping Panther units led by Heero and his men.

“So we’re supposed to be safe back here?” One of the pilots asked.
Heero answered frankly, “I doubt it. But the Coalition soldiers won’t be pursuing us. I’ll keep everyone updated.” He activated his radar to keep watch of the battle taking place on the other side of the building.
Hyrum agreed to this when he confirmed, “We’ll stay ready for your order sir.”
The possible calm was broken when one of the pilots pointed out, “Sir, it looks like we’ve got a convoy coming this way.”

Edward saw the Panther units in front of his escape route when he pointed out, “Damn it. We’ve been cornered. These mobile suits are in the way.”
His driver agreed with the situation when he stopped the jeep near the Parliamentary Building.“We can’t continue this way, the only way out at this point would be to take the other side of the walls.”
As soon as Edward ran in to lean against the wall he caught his breath and heard one of the nearby soldiers report, “Sir, we’ve received word that not all of the Panther untis were taken. It looks like the earth Sphere still has some units left.”
“Indeed. As have I. The Colonel’s men had best be prepared to handle against the Sol Theros if their attacks manage to find a further way in.”
“Is there any way to tell if those mobile suits are controlled by our guys?”
Edward turned to the nearest soldier he saw and ordered, “You there. Step out there and find out.”
“Me sir?”
He lifted his pistol giving an indirect order, “Find out if they are friendly.”
“Y… Yes sir.” He stepped outside and looked up to the deactivated Panther units when he asked, “Hey! Up there! Are you guys with us?”

Hyrum reported, “Sir. We have an enemy soldier stepping out.”
Heero looked to see the soldier trying to confirm their alignment. He knew there was only one plausible answer to this situation. “Take him out.”
Heero didn’t hear any hesitation when Hyrum agreed, “Roger sir.” Hyrum opened his unit’s cockpit and made several gunshots at the soldier below. It was as soon as the fifth bullet made its way down that Hyrum was able to report, “I got him sir.”
“Keep watch on the radar. We can’t let them warn about us.” He prepared his pistol when he ordered the other pilots to drop down, “Form up on me. Prepare to move in and take out anyone trying to contact the mobile suit forces outside.” With this order the Earth Sphere soldiers were able to make their way in and begin taking back their capital building.

Colonel Huerta held his position when he saw the soldier outside shot down only for more Earth Sphere soldiers to begin making their way in. “They’ve got our presence sir! They’re on to us!” He turned to see if Edward was still safe but found him missing. He panicked when he asked, “General?!”

Edward managed to run inside the building hoping to find any possible cover he could improvise. “There must be a safe shelter in here. I cannot end my ambition here!”
“So I see you have been forced into a corner you didn’t anticipate.” The line struck Edward like few others would have. He recognized the comment from the man his age when he turned to face him. He didn’t question why it was he had appeared here but he only saw it as a chance to gain the closure on this chapter he had long sought.
Devine didn’t show any anticipation on his face for this time but Edward could tell there was some satisfaction behind his observation. The two men could see into one another’s eyes as they sought to undo their rivalry from so long ago.
Edward drew his gun and drew it at Devine when he answered, “It is a corner of two wolves now. But I will not be the one slaughtered.” No further words were given when he prepared for the defining moment of his life. The two men fired at one another in a sound that filled the room.
Edward would have been able to swear that he had shot Devine in the face but felt his wound directly above his collar bone. He was on the floor and drug himself to the nearest wall in an attempt to cover the wound. “How… ironic…” Edward said as he fell into the corner reciting his line.
Devine struggled to finish Edward’s quote, “We were… Richard and Henry… until the end…” He lost any motivation to contemplate his past when he spoke his last words, “Master Peacecraft… Please receive… the young masters…”

Several hours passed when the long and grueling battle against the Sol Thero units tried to push their way past the many Panther units who held their ground. Unfortunately the deaths had been much greater than anyone could have imagined. At this moment the sixth Sol Thero unit had been destroyed while only ten Panther mobile suits remained.

One of the Coalition pilots showed visible signs of weariness in his voice when he asked, “How much longer is it going to take?”
“The Sol Thero units are almost all down. Just keep waiting it out.”

Heero saw the Coalition pilots making their final stand against the invading enemy when he ordered, “They’ve only got two more Sol Theros to handle. Once they take down the second to last one prepare to take down the rest of the stolen Panthers.”
“We’ll still have one Sol Thero to take out if we take out the Coalition Panthers.” Hyrum pointed out.
“That’s where we come in. It’s time for us to do our part.”
“Damn. I guess we have to make our sacrifice as well.”
Heero watched the battle draw out when two more Coalition pilots were shot down before the seventh Sol Thero unit had been destroyed today. “That’s the last one. Move out.”
“Preparing fire.” One of the nearby Earth Sphere pilots agreed.

“Sir! We’ve got enemy fire!”
“How?! This shouldn’t be possible!” These were the last words of the Coalition as they tried to handle the sudden flanking. Due to their exhaustion from the battle, they had become easy targets for the Earth Sphere. Thanks to this clearing it gave the remaining Sol Thero unit a chance to observe the battlefield while finding the Earth Sphere signals were still going strong. Backing further away it continued its fire of gatling fire towards them while attempting to hit the Parliament Building.

The Panther units continued to be shot down when they charged forward. Hyrum warned, “It’s firing on us sir!”
“Keep suppressing fire!” Before anyone could ask what he had planned they saw their leader’s unit move out ahead.
Hyrum recognized what he was attempting when he ordered, “Keep firing! Give the Major an opening!” The Panther units stayed their ground when continuing to fire while their leader’s unit made it further and further into the range of his enemy.
Heero’s Panther unit drew its beam saber and made a final rush towards the standing Sol Thero unit. The fire volley was fierce as it went across his unit before he managed to achieve a final pierce the Sol Thero couldn’t calculate. Heero’s unit drove its beam saber through the weakened field and reached the power unit of its enemy. Heero’s Panther made its way back before it exploded when he requested one of his soldiers, “Status of the enemy?”
He looked over his radar to find the status of the units on the field, “All enemy units destroyed sir.” He observed the ruins of the city that had been taken when he lamented, “Not many survivors it looks like.”

The conflict in the city had finally calmed while superiors Colonel Quessy and Lord Lindemann were given medical treatment for their efforts. A sweep was currently underway when Heero led his men through the building while he tried to suppress the pain in his injured arm. He heard groaning in from upstairs when he searched and found two streaks of blood from the gun duel that had happened hours ago. He looked down and saw the severely injured Edward Blare lying on the floor beneath him. He heard Edward cough lightly before observing, “General…”

A hastened, but well-aimed shot from the Mobile Suit-sized sniper rifle managed to avert the hostage situation of the parliament. As soon as it was shot he turned to aiming at the Sol Thero Mobile Dolls, providing cover fire for the other Panthers to finish them off along with the Coalition. Once all threats were no longer visible on the radar the Lord disembarked from the Mobile Suit.
A few medics rushed to treat his hand. "Lord Lindemann, we came to treat your injuries from the firefight." The leading medic announced.
"I don't have time for that." The Lord refused. "I have to deal with Blair first." He climbed to the parliament building to look for the traitor. He searched as much of the rooms he can find but his search was fruitless until he witnessed Heero and his men walking upstairs. He followed them and found Blare, also with Devine, someone he barely knew dead on the floor. "So Blare. I wished you died in the skirmish but you on got yourself injured. I guess that will give us the time to hear about your betrayal." He addressed him.

Milou had a look at the bottle of wine brought into the room. "Who brought it for us?" He asked.
Donna pointed above to the heavens. "Everyone still alive and dead." She replied. "Someone must have thought wine would be a suitable trophy."
Milou thought about how everyone was having a bet on who would end up with Donna. He however felt that he shouldn't receive the prize. "Donna, I should say there's someone that you know that deserves you and the wine more than me." He said. "I really feel I can't date someone in a war because the feeling of loss would be unbearable."
Donna saw how the Martian was abotu to leave. "Milou." She called him to get his attention. "Thank you earlier anyway. I won't die with much regrets."
He gave a smile back, glad with how she was able to take it well. He felt a bit fatalistic at the time as well. "You're welcome." He answered back before leaving the room.
The Gundam pilot sat on a chair and looked at the bottle of wine. She thought about who he meant with someone that deserves her more.

Edward looked up to see Lord Lindemann looking down on him. He felt his body weakened by the wound from so many hours ago while he gazed into Lord Lindemann's observing stance. "My reason? ... For what reason did I require? I do not have my foundation… But I have my legacy…" He coughed lightly before he continued, "This day marks my last it seems. If I am not destined for greatness... Then what need should I pass concerning I have lost when I shall at least have my name alongside my enemies?" He recalled his final line from years ago when he spoke, "God be... p... prai..." He couldn't finish the final line and if his face showed any regret it only showed desperation in the desires to see those final words spoken.
The nearest medic felt for a pulse on the General's neck and reported, "He lost too much blood."
Heero felt a light moment of relief from the recent death when he observed, "Then at least he won't cause harm to anyone anymore."

Malcolm looked over the report the surviving soldiers had given when he concluded, "So it has been confirmed. The General sought only to use this escape for his own benefit?"
"Yes sir. From what he was able to achieve in this siege it’s only evident he had his own personal goals planned at some point." Heero concluded.
Malcolm looked over the photographic evidence when he observed, "As it seems, the General did not have his loyalty to the Coalition nor to us. He only did so because he had one loyalty. A loyalty only to his own ambitions."
Marcel added to the observation when he spoke, "Loyalty along with a perverse fascination for "Wolfe's Hunt"... Perhaps seeing him here should have told me something."
Malcolm turned to him to find elaboration, "Do you believe that Devine somehow knew he would arrive?"
Marcel reminded of the map table before them, "It was possible to view the entries from below on the map system. Knowing Blare himself would arrive? Perhaps it had more to do with a judge of character than anything else."
Heero put the issue to rest when he emphasized, "Either way these two men have bled their last in this war. They leave only us as the survivors after all has subsided."
Malcolm looked back at the reports when he said, "We must address the greater issue however. The the city was nearly destroyed today and it was after our ability to hold back the Coalition from making another invasion."
Marcel gave an observation of the city when he agreed, "We barely managed to hold our own against one squadron of Sol Thero units. Now we may not be able to handle another attack at this point. We have already confirmed three Sol Thero squadrons were sent here to Earth and few of us have managed to return to tell about it."
Malcolm tried to find some assurance when he asked, "If there are more of them, then are we going to make any sort of preparation to prepare for another encounter?"
Marcel gave his personal theory, "We'll have to rely on the idea that they only seek large targets opposed to small ones. We'll have to move the government to the edge of the city nearby and find cover there."
Malcolm gave his agreement, "This city will not be able to handle another attack. At the same time we have nowhere safe to escape to now."
Heero faced the concern when he answered, "It's up to them. Whether or not we survive today will depend on if our Gundams can reach the Sol Invictus and destroy a long term threat to our existence."
Malcolm looked out the window of the morning sun when he agreed, "As it would seem. The Representatives at this point have been all but accustomed to lackluster accommodations at this point. Perhaps another period of time will not squander our dedication."

As soon as Heero entered his temporary home he saw Relena visibly tired with worry but her eyes brightened as soon as she saw him enter. "Heero. You returned safe again."
Heero held onto his injured arm when he greeted, "Yeah. We managed to take out any further threats. Are the girls safe?"
"Dad!" Selena rushed to embrace his left side when she heard him enter. "Please be alright. I was worried you'd get killed out there!"
He saw Helena enter with a more gentle approach when she stood next to Relena, "Dad we didn't want you to go out there again..."
Heero lightly hugged Selena with his good arm when he answered, "I wouldn't if I could have helped it. There might not be a next time though. This arm isn't going to handle another one."
Relena made her way over to him when she emphasized, “It certainly isn’t. Girls please help him get comfy.”
Selena agreed, “Okay.”
Helena made her way to the kitchen when she agreed, “Right away.”
Heero entered the living room when he was guided by Relena to a nearby couch when he told her, “The Parliament is probably going to be relocated to somewhere safe after this.”
Selena was preparing a cushion for her father’s arm when she voiced her hopes, “It will only be a relief to see it end after all of this. I don’t know how much more all of us could collectively handle.”
Heero sat with their assistance guessing, “I’m pretty sure our role in this war is pretty much over now.”
Relena sat next to Heero when she asked, "Can we do anything now?"
Heero looked at the sun outside when he answered, "All we can do now is hope the pilots up there will be able to handle their own against the Sol Invictus."
Relena joined his gaze when she asked, "They will be... Won't they?"
"Of course." Heero held Relena close as he sent his prayer to the heavens above, Mercurio... Don't show us... Show everyone why we trusted you...

Seeing Blare's last breath brought no difference to the Lord. "Good riddance." He thought to himself. He walked out of the room to allow others to do their jobs without hindrance. He would return to his quarters for some thinking.

He thought about how the war changed him, once a man would be content with peace warped into a major supplier for money just to buy bullets in skulls. He was clinging on to an ideology desperately during the war to prevent the emptiness in his heart getting the better of him. The process blanked out from his children and neglecting them, forcing them to fight in his war. He realised how he became a relic of the Eve Wars, now unneeded. He began writing a new letter for his children to have when they return from the Sol Invictus. After he finished writing with his signature he would place it in an envelope and leave it on his desk.

The Lord took a long walk to the Yuy family's temporary home. He gave a knock at the door, not really expecting anyone to welcome him. "Hello, I thought I should speak to you for a while." He introduced, surprisingly humble unlike how he used to be. "Since Brussels I had my mind on the whole war, how we were deceived all this time." He saw Relena sitting on a couch "I believe I should apologise for antagonising you for all those years." He said to Relena. He began his question to both of them. "Will our children be able to improve from our mistakes made in this war?" He asked them.
