Hello there.
I'm Adhemar, and I'm a forum lover. I was feeling nostalgic, thinking about all the forums I used to visit from 2006 to 2012ish, so I started googling for forums so I could revive that spark, since the forums I used to visit are all dead and gone. I spent some hours searching, lurking forums and browsing reddit for recommendations.
I encountered many forums that are still active, but what was the best choice? I wasn't looking for a forum related to a specific product or theme, game, tv series, coffee, being attacked by bees, so it was tough. I didn't want to enter a huge forum that embraced all kinds of topics because one can get lost in there, without even interacting with more than half of the community, but at the same time I didn't want to enter a small community with no new threads for weeks (damn I'm picky!). So my search continued.
Then, I started to noticed something. Some forums had a lot of active users and the content was not all over the place... Roleplaying forums. I always loved roleplaying but never actually done it in a context like this (I've had only roleplayed in videogames and in Dungeons and Dragons with friends), so this was completely new.
I spend some more hours lurking through different roleplaying forums, and I chose this one! I liked the design, the organization, the interactions between users, and it had one very important thing I was looking for: available places (like the statuses and the off-topic section) where I can go and talk about other stuff besides roleplaying when I'm not ready to roleplay.
So I hope you don't mind to have me lurking around, not roleplaying much, maybe being more active in the statuses thing than anywhere else. I'm happy with sitting back, drinking tea and reading your roleplay after a long day of battling through life. May I?
English is not my first language so feel free to correct me if something doesn't make sense.
Thank you and have an awesome day.
TL;DR: I'm a nostalgic forum lover, I saw the light on so I entered, hi!
