The Underwater World of Atlis
The Beginning
The project U.W.O.A. [Underwater World of Atlis] was started when the world realized that mother nature was taking her world back. Continents began to shift, volcano's became active, smog clouded the once blue skies, and the population of living things began to decay under the wrath of an old god. A lot of people warned the current society at the time that if they kept going out of greed and waste, mother nature would reclaim her land.
Everyone quickly had to process the information from the scientists and the world broke down quickly. Homes, communities, even whole countries began to wage war on themselves and each other. This type of behavior led to nuclear warfare and governments raced to be the first to colonize space. They wasted months of time on this idea till a head science, Asmus Markussen, and an engineer, Tenna Kruze, figured out how to colonize the ocean.
Governments began to come together from this idea and they all pitched in when it came to building what is now known as Atlis [or Alti for plural reference]. Upon decision they brought the most 'important' subjects from the surface down. Including the animals, plants, and humans that would benefit the Atli the most. Everyone else was left to fend for themselves and die of radiation sickness.
Quickly after everyone made it underwater and was pronounced 'safe' in the eyes of the government at the time. Every single person was sworn to contract and their future offspring to never go back to the surface, ask about it, or claim they have saw anything outside the Atli. This means if anybody speaks of underwater life, which is pronounced dead by the Atlis Council, they will disappear.
Many accounts of people claiming to see others outside of the Atlis, animals of any sort, or anything except the thick vegetation around the glass are said to disappear. Most people think this is to scare children, so they will listen to the council. No one really knows for sure since the Atli have a decent population of individuals in them.
Roughly being 425 years old, people have accepted safety and comfort over truth. The council knows that the outside is pretty much safe to roam, but they do not want their people finding out.

Rules of the Atlis Roleplay
1. Follow all the Guild's rules this one is extremely simple. You should at least know a rough idea of the guild's rules and understand them if you are here. Please abide by them, thank you!
2. Reply expectations is when a roleplay requires you to hold yourself and others to a decent standard. Please keep replies over 5 decent sized lines. No one liners, please!!! We understand it is hard to reply sometimes, but there are people [like me, the GM] who writes paragraphs. A paragraph roleplayer should not have to reply to a singular sentence.
3. Communication people!!! This is very important in a roleplay. Communication with the staff that are guiding the roleplay, the people who participate, and even yourself. Do not kill other characters without permission, do not control somebody else's character, and if you and somebody else cannot agree on something get a staff individual involved [AKA GM].
4.Character Creations there can be a lot to say here and I mean A LOT! Though, I will make it quick, I promise. Please do not make a character that is perfect in every way or over-powered. Everyone wants characters, but you are in a roleplay with specific situations. For example; a surface character would barely know what advanced technology is. You cannot make a surface character understand the workings of a laser rifle at first glance.
5. Last but not least!! Treat others how you want to be treated OOC.
Location in the Atli
The Artificial Mines
These mines do not have local access and you have to have a certain chip in your portal computer (bracelet device) to even get approved by the doors. The people that are aloud in these areas are the council, specialized officials, and mine workers. If your character has the occupation of miner then they would be allowed down in these areas. Yet, they are contracted to what they signed before accessing the job, they are not allowed to speak of specifics, and they understand cruel punishments will happen if information gets out about the mines and the projects.
The Atli
Multiple cities [referred to as Atlas or Atlis], they generally have the same layout but not the same culture at all. Nicknames for some of the bigger more visited Atli are China town, America, and the Colony. For example, China town resembles China before being underwater, America resembles the United States of America, and the Colony reminds people of all of North West Europe.
Another major place is called the Port and this is where the majority of poorer people live. Middle class or lower live in this almost forgotten city. The council never visits there, work is tough, and a lot of people try to move out of the Port as fast as they can. You can do this by signing up for the Atlas military, mining union, or a job that does not require a degree.
The Center
These amazing electrical and knowledge hubs are opened for the public. This is the closest anyone from the underwater world can get to the surface. Sometimes you see birds that land on the tip-top of the sphere.
The centers are built around knowledge, the center pillars have all the physical books in the middle and then there are computer stations everywhere to access what is known as the Database. The database is a type of system that physically connects all the Atli together. This means if you are searching something you probably shouldn't be, somebody is watching [say Hi to your Atlis FBI agent!] or you can request a video call between you and someone else.
Fun fact: The ports are such a problematic place to live because rumor has it that there were people outside of the Port's center. Multiple people swore they saw a group of uncivilized individuals and one was even naked. This was about five or six years ago and those people have disappeared or have no memory of causing such issues.
The Port's center is considered damage, it is leaking, and recommended that people do not go in there. You can still access this center, but you will find that half of the equipment doesn't work and the solar panels are only working at 50% if that.
The Halls
A lot of people do not like going in the halls alone, so they either wait for the shuttle. A small robotic controlled vehicle that has only seats and sides to help keep your feet and legs in. The robots are usually funny, friendly, and want to give you fantastic service. If you tip robots with the Atli coins, they will give you a small present in exchange. Sometimes the present is chocolate, jewelry, or even what people call a Golden coin.
If you receive a golden coin from a helper robot [like one in the shuttle] you can go to the Atlas University with a full ride. It is very unlikely to get these coins versus the population of people, but do not deem it impossible!
The Halls connect all the Atli together and upon first entrance there are a lot of singular doors that connect to halls. These doors have addresses on them with mailbox slots. This is where a lot of people live right out of the cities, but you can find that people live all along the hallways.
Most people will not access the corridors past the living area of the halls. There is no restricted access, but a lot of people have heard about others disappearing in the deeper parts of the Halls. If you go roaming around, you will find that the miners have to go down to the halls to access their work areas, some more houses [expensive ones paid to be there by the rich], and some damaged hallways that no one or the centers have information on.
There is a tall tale, hopefully, that speaks of the people who built these hallways years ago to save everyone. Most locals believe that the Halls are haunted especially younger individuals.
The Gardens
Originally there were five massive gardens for the Atli but the one by the Ports is considered unacceptable even though people have said they entered it after the damages have been done. After the flooding of the Port's Garden a lot of people that try to keep this information away from the government officials and the council speak of a group of people that broke in with spears and such; savages. The government quickly stated the damages occurred from fault in the structure and pressure caused it to collapse. The majority of people believe their government so they do not go looking for other stories. [The doors were manually shut down, but you can still manually open them if you want to enter. You got to figure out how though and you might cause the North-West halls of the Atli to flood].
Other than that information the Gardens hold the plant and animal life that is known and saved in the Atli. This is where university students meet for classes, lectures, etc... Sometimes you might be in the closest Garden to your house or you got to make a trip. All gardens have different animals and vegetation compared to their climates.
Every Garden layout is completely different as well, they are suppose to resemble what type of land it use to be on the surface.

Quick Examples of Surface Technology and Atli Technology:
The Surface
As long as the Atli have been dwelling the surface has been changing from the nuclear fallout and updating to what Mother Nature wants it to be. The government of the underwater world is keeping secrets from its people and around 100 years ago, the surface was claimed livable by the old council, but they do not want the people of Atlas knowing that information.
Humans, plants, and animals have adapted to ancient times in their new world; completely different from the people of Atlas. Many lives have been lost, but people of the surface have discovered upon the depopulation of the earth hundreds and hundreds of years ago caused the natural magic to occur again.
Hundreds of years ago people spoke of dragons, elves, dwarves, and a majority of magically beings. They might have lived once and no one knows, but everyone knows now that there are specific humans that can harness this fascinating ability.
The surface has sectors!!!
Oceania
Picture one would describe Oceania the best. Not a large city, but wetlands indeed. Closest to the ocean out of all the other major places.
The Africans
Where Africa once was and what is left of it, picture two is definitely giving you the landscape and life of the African lands! There are a lot of predatory animals in fields and open spaces. Predators that look human like, but they are far from it! Be careful traveler!
The City of Ortish
Stop snooping around! Ortish is a place you will learn to keep your manners up, respect high for others even if it's undeserved, and your business to yourself. You might not want to ask major or personal questions around these parts and if you do, you might regret it quickly. Mind your own business here and you should be good for now!
Caverns of Kilfi
Reference 3 is the best to imagine such a place. A lot of people say this is where the magic started and if you have powers, you will be taken down here for the time being. All parties down here learn how to live along dangerous animals and plants, they learn to live beside nature, and such practices have helped to boost the abilities of individuals.
You know those scary human-like predators in the Africa's? You probably have heard of Master Azam! He's the prodigy of the ability based humans and has even pet one of those predators. No one has ever been uninjured by such an encounter except him.
and more! Yet, they might not be as known so if you play a surface dweller get your homeland out there!
Character Creation Time
You either can be a surface dweller or part of the underwater world of Atlas! The staff are allowing everyone to have two characters!!!
Quick Character sheet Guide
Please add all things below in your biography! You do not have to only have these things, but we require the basic information down below.
Name: This is simple, find or make up a first and last name! If you are a surface dweller you only need a first name and then where you are from for example; Luna from the Oceania project sector.
Age: You can have this be a rough estimate!
Height and weight: This helps people visualize even if you have a reference picture!
Reference picture or description: If you use reference pictures, please use realistic or photographs. No anime, cartoon, or unrealistic looking charactars. If you want to use a picture and you're unsure. Put it in your bio and through the acceptance process it will be figured out if you can use the picture or not!
Where are you from? The surface or the Atlas? Explain your location, your home, etc...
Occupation! Think of anything
Quick skills: These are skills you do not need many tools to work with. You can carve a wooden cube into a toy? Awesome! You can knit!? You can fight?! What are your quick skills?
Advanced skills: These are skills you need at least 6 months of training for. You are an engineer? You know how to track or follow the stars north? You know how to use nun-chucks without hurting yourself?!? Explain the schooling, learning process, etc... behind your skills. You can have one or a list!
Backstory Describe everything! Where were you born, what was home life like growing up, did you have friends, do you still have those childhood friends, did you like school, are you going to college? Do you have a job? Explain who you are!!
