What if, and hear me out, it was a roleplay based on a blank, white space. And you got to put anything in it? And the end project would be our supposed characters living in this world that they've created. Whether it be a fantasy world, starting off with someone creating some sort of mythical creature or being. Or maybe a casual house where our characters live out their day-to-day lives, starting off with something as simple as a couch.
And the best part is, we never know what they're gonna do. Maybe someone will create a humanity-destroying being and everyone else will have to fight it off!
So how 'bout it? I hope this still qualifies as a roleplay- I'm honestly scared it won't.

Depends on the characters I think. Could go to anything from slice of life to god roleplay to sci-fi to a surreal war among incomprehensible domains.

Yeah, true. I should probably add some rules to how this blank universe works. If it ever goes into roleplay that is.

Well if anything can go in it, I'd say it can destroy a universe or some analogue, but can't eliminate the white space itself. I'd also say that the characters we play as couldn't die permanently either, being inhabitants of that same space and just getting shunted back into it if anything.

That's a pretty nice idea. So like, if you created some sort of thing that could basically destroy the entirety of the creations (if any are made), the white space nor the characters would really die off per se? Well, if that's the case this should probably go into some sort of fantasy or sci-fi genre.

Ah mmk, thanks for the world-building help, mate! Now I've just gotta figure out how to start this thing off and gather some people that are interested.
Should I add a character template? Sorry- It feels like I'm leeching off of you for help.

A character sheet of some kind is most definitely something I recommend, although the specifics of it are up to you.

To expand on this more, imagine the white space as an invulnerable and eternal first place or alpha reality, with the beings who inhabit it - our characters - being much the same. As far as creations go, those are the finite imaginings of our characters, and though our characters can personally interact with them in pretty much any way they please, they don't technically have a permanent place there. Which is why "dying" can happen in said creations, but instead of ceasing to exist like said creations, our characters merely reform in that eternal space.

How long does this process take? Well I'd say it, like much else in the white space, depends on the character in question. This way you can have someone write their character out of the RP without leaving any loose ends behind if need be.

Of course the dying part can also be seen as variable, since it all ultimately depends on the characters involved.

Ah, nice! So about that first sentence. The characters should basically be in their first stage? So, about anything can happen to them, and if they "die", they'll just go back to their alpha form? Since our characters would basically be godlike figures of this blank universe, wouldn't their power ability be endless? There should probably be some restrictions on what they could make as well.
And that second part of your post! If a character dies, will all of their creations and imaginings just disappear with them?
I'm just gonna make a template real quick.

No to the second part unless some other character's creations eradicate them, or some other variable is applied. It's mainly just the dead character in question taking as long or as short of a time as they want to come back. So an example would be a character who got, say, erased from the existence of a jointly created universe and decided to slowly reform bit by bit in the white space rather than doing so instantly.

And yes their power would be endless, though that seemed to be the point of the initial post you made what with limitless creation, so I tried to keep it as intact as possible when coming up for a way for characters to not just instantly die when some edgelord makes a genocidal killing machine.
