On the subject of dampness: I live directly on Lake Michigan. Like six blocks from the shoreline. It's constantly a swamp in the summer and an ice ball in the winter.

I'll have to upload some pictures at some point, but it's mainly of fishing spots!

A semi-nearby town was -39° last night. Makes me glad I'm quarantined!

boss's kids may have COVID because they're "really sick" and she's taking them to the doctor tomorrow to get them checked out.

please just tell us all to quarantine and close the store down, I could use the opportunity to find an escape route.

My husband's work (machining shop) had two people from third shift coughing all over everything for almost a week until the first shift foreman lost his shit and made them get tested. They're both positive and it got brought home. 😑 Infection control from my hospital job means I get to quarantine for a couple weeks, but I'm upset.

I haven't had anything confirmed about my boss's kids having COVID just that her pre-school age daughter is running a high fever rn and she can't come in until she's recovered. And in the softened indirect way such things are announced one of the senior most people working at our store was fired which un-anchors any sort of longevity the place had and now the average tenure there is like, less than a year maybe.

So I'll be ordering Chinese for dinner and sitting down to apply for some tech positions and hope to get into the hospital actually right across the street for me. Forgoing any and all driving commute for a nice walk.

People really do be out there like, "Did you hear the stoopid liberuls in charge of the city of lansing cancelled a sledding event today for bad winter weather XDDDDDDDDDDD"
