There's something in the shadows
In the corner of your room
A dark heart is beating and waiting for you
There is no open window,
but the floors still creep

A Supernatural Horror 1x1 Search
Welcome! Let's kick things off with an elevator pitch:
If you're still with me, hello! I'm Quixotica, but you can call me Quix. I've recently entered my third decade of life and 16th year of roleplaying - give or take a handful of breaks from the hobby.
I'm an advanced roleplayer who values in-depth plots, well-defined characters, immersive settings, rich descriptions, and the proper implementation of narrative structure and flow.
I'm currently seeking an advanced-level, long-term writing partner to develop and write this concept with. I am only asking for a minimum of one two-paragraph (or longer) IC post a week and a mutual effort to keep OOC conversation rolling on a semi-regular basis.
Now, back to the plot.
For context, this was inspired by the lives and work of Ed and Lorraine Warren of The Conjuring series fame. Ironically, I wasn't a massive fan of the films, but I did enjoy the Warren's dynamic, which is primarily what I wanted to borrow for this - well, that, Lorraine's sixth sense, and a setting where all manner of ghouls, apparitions, and entities go bump in the night.
I'm hoping to explore the concepts of marriage and family and how these institutions might be affected not only by the very real physical and spiritual threats the couple face on a recurrent basis, but also by the increased public scrutiny their chosen profession attracts. I would also like to implement a serialized structure to the narrative, with each 'episode' focusing on one case - our characters effectively functioning as the connective tissue tying it all together.
As far as where the roleplay is to take place, I'm open to a private thread here, PMs, or Google Docs. OOC can happen through PMs or Discord.
If you're interested, send me a PM!
