From my time here on the roleplay guild I've developed a fair amount of different characters that I use for my roleplays, and often I can get very detailed about their physical appearances in character sheets as I get really immersed into the nitty-gritty details. However, as powerful and vivid as words can be to describe something, they can can only convey so much... and the only way to truly show what my characters look like is to draw them and then show others. But that's where my problem comes in hehe, my artistic skills are terrible... like really terrible hehehe even worse than the smell of a Trubbish on a hot day! So although I wish I could draw detailed character sheets and show my roleplay partners... Well... I can't because I suck at art! hehehe

Does anyone else have that issue or is it just me? Welp until I find a work-around I guess really detailed descriptions will do hehehe. Oh well ahhaha.

Ralts out!

All of the time!

The worst part is that I'm just good enough, artistically, to be tempted to draw them. I also have just enough sense to know that my drawings would be pretty awful.

@Force and Fury

What's ironic to me is that the only way to get better at drawing is to keep practicing, but if I do that I'd have to face making someone so awful I'd give up in shame hahaha. Sadly though I don't possess much of a talent to begin with so I can't get better if I tried, but I like to dream that somehow one day I will magically gain the ability to draw as well as have the patience to actually complete a drawing as well! hahaha

To be honest, I don't think it's so much a matter of talent as it is endless practice, at first with things like drawing simple shapes in perspective. You have to work your way up to drawing people well. I get the impression that it's a whole lot of Mr. Miyagi style 'wax on, wax off' before you get to the good stuff. You might wanna check out drawabox. I already would've by now if life didn’t keep me so busy with other things.

I do, indeed. I wish I had all the power in the world to draw an epic character.

It would seem we'd have to take @Force and Fury's advice. But I'm not sure If I'd ever enjoy making art as much as I do making roleplays. Wait is making roleplays still an art? hmmm, I can only hope so hahaha
