I’m Ranni, an experienced writer who is new to this particular forum but eager to set up a number of fresh storylines. I’m a connoisseur of darker, grittier environments and have a strong affinity for world-building. I prefer to keep RT introductions concise as to not lose any potential interest, so I’ll move ahead by marking up the baseline for what I’m looking for:
18+ Partners. Smut or no, this is for my own comfort, and is non-negotiable.
Literacy & Effort. I fancy myself an advanced writer, able to consistently produce decently written and plot-pushing posts for my partners. I only ask for the same level of effort in return.
MxF Pairings Only. For now! I am female IRL, but can comfortably play either role. Just ask.
On-site Only. I strongly prefer to keep RP within private messages. I am, however, open to discord for spitfire plotting. OOC bantering is favourable — I promise I’m not quite as dry as this thread might make me seem.
Optional Smut. This is entirely partner-dependant. I will only write smut as a plot device, as and when it fits naturally into the scene. My limits regarding such are few and far between, and I am comfortable with the darker corners of adult content, should they arise.
Tropes & Archetypes. These are characters I love playing both as and against. This list will absolutely expand over time.
Bloodthirsty brawlers and anyone who wakes up and immediately chooses violence.
Warriors in obsessive search of a ‘good death.’
Beasts who yearn to feel nothing but pain, and the thrill of the fight.
A snide beacon of dry wit, seemingly purposed to continually whittle down your optimism with borderline nihilistic ‘jokes.’
Offers friendship, but at what cost? Cynicism and manipulation often go hand-in-hand.
Servants and civilians who are much more than they seem.
Maids who dabble in foul arts, or an apprentice with more magical potential than they realise.
A prospective villain, lying in wait for betrayal. Or perhaps a loyal underling — and the sole reason behind the hero’s victory?
Settings & Fandoms. Original settings and fandom universes. I prefer to use original AUs for the latter.
1. A vampire, demigod, or otherwise immortal creature is gravely wounded or poisoned by mysterious means. Unable to heal, their allies take him to a human settlement where a peculiar ‘doctor’ is said to reside. She seems perfectly mortal, but speaks as though she is from another time.
2. A witch accidentally unleashes an unholy beast into the world. Concealing her identity, she seeks the aid of a notorious demon-hunting priest to retrieve it. He is particularly clever, however, and the witch’s secret inevitably slips.
3. An alien signal reaches the beacon of an elite pirate spaceship… and challenges them to a race.
4. A disgraced, cursed knight roams aimlessly across the land, until he learns that the youngest child of his former masters had survived the massacre. Having emerged from hiding, she takes the seat of nobility, with every intention of reclaiming her family’s royal title.
5. A government-owned space shuttle picks up on the distress signal of a severely damaged Kh’ah vessel, which is suspended helplessly in the orbit of an unmarked moon. The Kh’ah, a humanoid species known for their peaceful nomadic ways and advanced psionic technology, very rarely reach out to others beyond their kind. They ask to board the government cruiser, as their hull is damaged beyond repair and they have suffered multiple casualties. In their attempt to establish a mining colony upon the moon, they dug up something… ancient.
6. In ancient Rome, a palace dancer is accused of conspiracy to murder the Legate, and condemned to die in the gladiatorial arena as means to make an example of her. By fluke, she survives her execution, and is placed under the stewardship of a wealthy Lanista — a deplorable variant of noble who invests in and trains gladiators. He intends to temper her into the best version of herself, and rake in the revenue.
7. A late-night barista makes smalltalk with a customer who visits at the same, silly hour each night. He is cold and short-spoken, but a terribly good listener. As second-in-command to a notorious mob, he begins to make her problems quietly disappear. Debts. Troublesome exes. She inevitably ends up stuck deep in mafia quarrels.

I'm all for your darker fantasy themed stuff. Maybe we can craft something in which we can combine some of the ideas you have. I'll all for world building and plotting and I love it to be more than a one shot and they lived happily ever after kind of stick.
