Leaf...

Leaf fell to the ground as the explosion shook the earth. She screamed in fear, covering her head with her arms. What the heck just happened?! An explosion? That was way bigger than any normal explosion from a Pokemon. She raised her head after a second and looked in the direction of the explosion, seeing smoke rising into the air. The first thought that came to her head was about the people and Pokemon that must be there. With a slight grunt of pain, she pushed herself up off the ground and ran towards the source, brushing dirt off her clothes. It looked like it came from Route 22...

Chad...

Chad stumbled from the explosion, barely managing to keep his footing. Was that...an explosion? Was there a Pokemon battle going on? He saw the smoke off in the distance amd immediately knew that was wrong. He took off towards Route 22, but he was by far the farthest away of the three trainers.

Robert after the initial explosion happening and earth trembling. Had recalled Petilil back into her Pokeball, as the little grass Pokemon was getting frighten from all the noise. After everything had quiet down, and finally getting up onto his two feet. The boy ran out from the tree and glance towards the hills and such. Seeing that the smoke is coming from route 22...the route that leads too the Pokemon league! "Is...that what the person wanted me to run from?" Robert muttered quietly...

No doubt that explosion was huge, especially if the stranger want the boy far away as possible. Robert fist his hands and began running towards Viridian city, in hopes of figuring out what just happen as well as if everyone are okay along with any Pokemon.

Leaf ran towards Route 22, grabbing a pokeball from her hip. She was ready in case anyone was hurt. Without even reaizing it, she ran past Robert, too focused on her goal to notice who he was once again.

The duo's run was cut short however, with a loud screech.

"PRIMEAPE!" A Primeape came running towards them, a crazed look in it's eye. The Primeape, well known for their hostility and temper, slammed it's fists into the ground, giving a clear sign of warning. Leaf skidded to a halt, waiting to see if the Primeape would attack, or if it was just scares.

Robert came to a stop as well, looking at the raging Primeape who is thrashing around and stomping it's fists down onto the ground in a blind rage. The boy understands the danger, when running into them. Since they don't know what caused them to go rampaging, as well as being a fully evolve Pokemon. He and Leaf that he saw stopping herself, from the pokemon. His pokemon are consider beginners level, as they haven't really fought all that much, when he lived in Saffron city. All the while not really heading on out of the city, until he wanted to officially become a trainer and start his journey with Oak's pokedex.

The boy lifted his Pokedex in order to register it's data and information about it. "Primeape the pig monkey Pokemon: It grows angry if you see its eyes and gets angrier if you run. If you beat it, it gets even madder."

Robert sighed out, knowing that they would have no choice but to Battle the wild Pokemon. For any chances of running, or avoiding it. Now the only worriment Robert has..if they will be able to take out such a strong pokemon. Importantly why was a Pokemon like Primeape? Near Viridian city...the most common pokemon are Rattata, Pidgey, Mankey, Nidoran male and Nidoran Female. "Alright then come out Pikachu!" Robert called out and sent his electric partner out. Who burst out from the Pokeball and appears in front of him and Leaf.

"PIKA!"

Leaclf looked at the Pikachu Robert sent out, then turned to Robert himself. Finally realizing who he was, her heart skipped a beat. "Robert!" She said excitedly, completely forgetting about Primeape for a second. She jumped on him and hugged him tight. "Finally! I haven't seen you in years! Where were you? Why didn't you visit?"

"P-Pri?" The Primeape said, slightly confused by Leaf's sign of affection. It quickly replaced confusion with rage however, and it lunged at Pikachu, preparing a Karate Chop.

"Gah Leaf! Not the time!" Robert grunted out, as well lightly pushing her away. "Pikachu, dodge and use thundershock!" Robert cried out.

Pikachu sweat dropped from the girl, suddenly tackling Robert in a hug. Knowing the dangers they were in, as Pikachu heard the boy's command. As the Pikachu quickly rolled out of the way of Karate chop and began hopping backwards and then began sparking electricity from his cheeks. "Pika chuuuu!" shouted the electric mouse and fired off a stream of electricity straight towards the Primeape.

"Leaf if you dont mind, but we have a Pokemon to fight! Let's speak later!" Robert said in a rushed voice, letting her know they are in danger.

Primeape brought it's left arm up to protect itself, wincing slightly as the electric attack hit. The attack did little actual damage, but did nothing to deter the Primeape's mood. With another cry it charged at Pikachu, aiming to grab the little mouse in it's hands.

At the aame time, Leaf realized what she was doing and let go of Robert, blushing. "Right, sorry." She muttered, grabbing her pokeball and sending out her own Pokemon.

"Vulpix! Use ember!"

Out of her pokeball came a small golden fox, a Vulpix. The gold fox immediately spat out a burst of fiery embers from her mouth, nailing Primeape right in the face. Crying out in pain, the Primeape stumbled back, holding it's hands to it's face. It brushed away the embers, before turning it's glare at Vulpix.

Robert just let out a soft sigh, when Leaf finally realized what she was doing. While sending out her own Pokemon, which is a Gold like Vulpix? He wasn't sure what was up with that, but figure to ask later as he smirked and saw that. Ember had damage Primeapes eyes a bit, causing it to stagger from the ember hitting its eyes. Only to then quickly start glaring at Vulpix.

Robert wander his gaze around the area a bit. Seeing what else could help their Pokemon in this fight? Couple of rocks and boulders were here...but Pikachu's thundershock will not be strong enough. To cause any real damage..."Pikachu start running in a circle between you and Vulpix. While using thundershock on the ground!" Robert called out in which the mouse ears twitch. At the same time smiling, as it did just that...Pikachu began running towards Vulpix and began circling her, while sparking out thundershock into the ground. Causing brown like dirt clouds to rise up and began covering the two of them. Sort of like a smokescreen fashion! "Leaf I also want you to have Vulpix to start shooting, the ground around her and Pikachu. To get even bigger smokescreen, make it impossible for Primeape to see them!"

Leaf nodded, seeing Ribert's goal immediately. "You heard him Vulpix! Use Emder behind Pikachu as he runs by!" She called to her Pokemon.

Vulpix gave a cry of acknowledgement, before blasting the dirt with her ember attack. Primeape merely roared in anger, charging right towards the duo, not caring about the smokescreen. "Now use Sand Attack! Blast all that dirt right into Primeape's eyes!" Vulpix turned away from Primeape and used her hind legs to kick all the dirt and dust right into Primeapes face, causing the enraged Pokemon to cover it's face with one hand and blindly flail around with the other. A stray swing caught Pikachu, knocking the mouse away, but not taking Primeape off it's course towards Vulpix.

Pikachu grunted out from the swinging punch. But since it wasn't an actual attack, as well not a strong punch. On the account of the fist flailing and such, prevented any real harm. Pikachu bounced and quickly rolled onto his paws with gritted teeth, all the while seeing that the smokescreen had covered a good amount around Vulpix and him. "Good Vulpix just lay flat too the ground, Pikachu use thundershock straight in the middle of that smokescreen!" Robert called out with a smirk, while directing the electric mouse of where to hit.

"Pikachu, Pika!" called out Pikachu, Nodding with Roberts idea and fired off a beam of it's thundershock straight towards the middle of the smokescreen, making sure that it was a good couple feet in the air.

The Thundershock hit Primeape square in the face, knocking the fighting type back. It stumbled back, for a second too distracted to focus on it's opponents. "Now Vulpix, use Quick Attack!"

Vulpix charged at Primeape at a blinding speed, before slamming into Primeapes face. The Pokemon lost it's balamce completely, falling onto it's back, with a cry of pain. "Good job Vulpix! Now let's hit him as hard as we can!"

"You too Pikachu! Let's send out one last Thundershock and send Primeape away!" Robert called out, while thrusting his hand forward. As the Electric mouse nodded and run up towards Vulpix. All the while positioning himself next too her, and giving a small glance at Vulpix with a smile.

"Pikachu, pika, pika!" He chanted out, informing Vulpix that they both will send out both of their attacks. At the same time and hope that both power of Ember and Thundershock will scare the fighting type away from them and their trainers.

Vulpix added her Ember to Pikachu's Thundershock, the two attacks inyertwinong, before they blasted the powerful fighting type.

Primeape howled in pain as it was engulfed in an explosion. Smoke obscured the Pokemon, amd Leaf cautiously approached it. She squinted, trying to see through the smoke, her Vulpix running next to her protectively. "Vulpix? Vul?" She barked, worried that her trainer was too close to a wild pokemon.

Robert not wanting to take any chances for Primeape to get back up, as well as probably continuing with it's rage. As well as Leaf getting hurt from the wild Pokemon. He pulled out a Pokeball from his bag, out of the five his mother bought for him. A gift for becoming and starting his Pokemon journey today. With the ball in hand and enlarging, he tossed it up gently and then threw it towards where the smoke was and hopefully Primeape.

Robert's red amd white pokeball hit the unconscious Primeape, converting it into red energy and pulling it in. The pikeball shook once, twice, three times before the red light on the center faded, signaling the pokemon's capture.

Leaf picked the pokeball up, looking back at Robert. "Good idea, this way it won't hurt anyone else when it wakes up!" She said with a smile, before tossing him his pokeball. Her smile quickly changed to a look of determination. She looked back towards Route 22, balling her gands into fists. "That Primeape must have come from Route 22." She said grimly. "Which means that whatever happened there was enough to scare away a Primeape. I wonder what could have caused an explosion like that..."

Pikachu and Robert were kind of surprised the capture even worked at all?! Let alone to a fully evolve Pokemon like Primeape? He picked the Pokeball up and just blinked at it, while Pikachu walked on over and next too the boy. Staring straight up at him with a tilted head, as well notching his ear a bit. "To be honest...I didn't expect it to work..." Robert stated with a small sheepish smile, and then turned his attention towards the direction Leaf directed at.

Knowing where the Primeape might've come from, along with whatever caused the explosion of where Route 22. "Well...hate to say, we can't go and investigate. On the account we need gym badges, in order too even enter the Pokemon league gates Leaf..." Robert said with a shrug of his shoulders and standing next to her. Blinking his eyes at the direction along with humming lightly.

While Pikachu walked on over towards Vulpix, to see how it was doing?

Leaf nodded, seeing Robert's point. "We can still take a look at where the explosion happened." She said, pointing back towards Route 22. "If Primeape came from there, something must still be there." She reasoned, staring to walk towards the path once again.

Vulpix smiled at Pikachu, barking happily to signal that she was okay. She hopped up and down in excitement, before running after Leaf.

Robert sighed out and shook his head, while shrugging his shoulders. Much he is adventurous there are things, he will not travel too. If it was to become way over their head! Let alone with three Pokemon? One already tired out from fighting, along with her Vulpix. While Robert has two still pre-evolved Pokemon, who hasn't fully taken on a battle yet!

Robert then lightly smirk at Vulpix bouncing around a bit and then darted after Leaf. Making him to look over too Pikachu, who looked back up with blinking eyes. "You still feel up to walking Pikachu?" He asked, while nudging his head for him to follow. At the same time smiling when the electric mouse gave a peace sign, and followed after Robert. Following the girl who went ahead of them, to check up whatever it is that cause the explosion and Primeape too be here.

"I wonder what we'll find there?" Leaf said worried. Vulpix ran up next to Leaf, looking up to her trainer. "Vul? Vulpix?" The little Pokemon asked. "I don't know Vulpix. Maybe Officer Jenny will be there. What do you think Robert?"

As the two trainers walked, they could make out the entrance to Viridian City, with a large crowd of people gathered outside. Officer Jenny and her Arcanine stood in front of the crowd, a loud speaker in one hand. "Everyone please stay outside the city limits until further notice! We will notify you when it is safe!"

Robert who had Pikachu on top of his left shoulder, shrugged his shoulders lightly while walking with Leaf towards Viridian city. "I don't know Leaf, considering that explosion was really loud at the time. It would have alerted anyone nearby." The boy explained, while lifting one arm up and gently scratches Pikachu's chin. Who happily let out a low cha from the motion, as well return the favor by nudging his cheek against Robert.

Before the boy could even speak next, as well his mind finally calming down and coming too realization. Of Leaf his childhood like friend, who he hasn't seen i quite a long time. Is traveling with him to Viridian city, recalling her asking him of where he was and such. But before he could even get too that conversation from earlier, the boy blinked his blue eyes an faces forward. Hearing what sounded like a loud speaker and Officer Jenny's voice. "Huh...whats going on here?" he pondered out loud??
