I don't plan on my character staying in Vergen for too long, but it does seem like the melting pot for a lot of drama so far...so we'll see!

Well, after Brenn slaughters a village, maybe some drama will shift to Brugge in the south. What I hope will be the first northern Kingdom to fall.

That could be quite interesting, because right now my character has no motivation to do anything. He's sort of a witcher without purpose at the moment....suppose he could do his job...

Brugge...that could actually be fun!

I was just sending my character there to open the possibility of him interacting with some other characters.

A meeting between two Witchers could be quite possibly entertaining to write!

Jesus I laughed harder than I should have

I have a feeling my character is gonna develop into something near-nihilistic during his introspective journey....he'll be quite some fun at parties.

I'm sending my witchy lady there because she wants help taking down the northern kingdoms and a dragon and one eyed warmonger might come in just handy!

Like I said...Vergen seems like the place for a hodge-podge of drama and violence at the moment, haha...fun times ahead!

I thought Upper-Aedirn/ the Vergen Freestate despised Nilfgaard?

Also, what are the fates of Henselt and Dethmold?

We are going with the storyline that ends with Henselt surviving the battle of Vergen under the terms that he recognize Upper Aedirn as a free state with Saskia as its ruler. Dethmold, on the other hand is executed on Saskia's orders on the charges of war crimes.

I think so, it's the lesser of the Northern Kingdoms, but its just so prime to be attacked. Also if Brugge falls then it opens up Temeria for a full invasion.

Brugge was a protectorate of the Kingdom of Temeria, at least under Foltest's rule.

Currently there is either a regency council or John Natalis (the Chief Commander) who rule(s) in Temeria.

Yes yes, this is true. It used to be a vassal, and now is a protectorate. Though, the Temerian military would not risk much protecting a defunct state. I'd expect perhaps a few knights, garrisons and called up militia, nothing compared to the Main Temerian Force
