The realm in which the game is set is a large but fairly empty and unsettled land known as Omicria. It's technically not a kingdom, but the distant province of a now-extinct empire which was based on another continent. As such, the ruler of the land is known as an Exarch, and it's officially called an Exarchate. In practice, it varies little from a kingdom but in a few important ways which we can get into when the RP itself begins, but one of them is that the laws enforced still match those of the ancient empire, which included ancient treaties with Dracon states, allowing for free travel to and from Omicria to there. Omicria is a warm country (think southern Italy, Malta, Cyprus, most of Greece, etc), so heavy clothes aren't used very often.
