@Katakuri
The girl quickly replied, "Wow... I'd love to just fly up to space if I could.. but my wings won't get me that far, and even if I used the air boosts, it wouldn't be far enough."

Listening to Ghiar's answer regarding his colour, Anya smiled.
"So it was positive when I spooked you?" She laughed as she spoke, "I guess it was pretty funny!"

Concerning the two men, she didn't know how exactly they would treat a child-like creature, so she simply replied,
"Well- if you want to go and talk to them, we can."

She pulled a twig out of her hair, and muttered something about a bush.

Ghiar

♎ ♎ ♎

Ghiar seemed to look Anya up and down when she explained her wings and air boost powers wouldn't get her up to space. She was a tinier creature, so he wasn't surprised that she would struggle to get there. He did not meet a lot of other creatures that have been to space or were able to be in space for long - unless they were wearing specialized suits.
Thinking about it, could she breathe in space? was an immediate thought that came to his mind. Deciding that it was better than nothing, he offered, "I could maybe take you there one day, but I cannot promise anything," he didn't want to put her in any danger.

Giving off a faint smile and nodding his head, he wasn't spooked by her, but he enjoyed the attempt. "It was funny and cute," he agreed and complimented her. He didn't find her scary, even with her sharp teeth. His view on life was probably way different than others from his old age and overall experiences.

Glancing over to the duo at the table, he glanced back at Anya, "Do not worry. I think it will be fine if we go talk with them," he mentioned while getting up and away from the bar and stool. Ghiar made his way over to the two individuals, @Dark Light and @LiegeLord.

Ghiar stood there for a second before clearing his throat, "Good day to you all," he started the conversation off with a confident but gentle tone of voice. Naturally, he appeared harmless or friendly, even though that was not completely true. "My friend here-" gesturing to Anya "-was concerned about you two. Can I ask how you both are doing today to calm her mind? " he asked kindly with a smile. He seemed to not have any hesitation while asking the strangers this simple question; most people he has met have not gone to aggression as the first option.

@Katakuri@Liegelord - Dorian.
The finely kept barkeep in an immaculate suit.

With a gratuitous nod Dorian greets the newcomer then politely excuses himself of the current company leaving Vendril to answer the question as he continues to tend to new patrons. Some of the non-outstanding type. Those of unremarkable appearance or personality that seemingly just fade into the background. (Quiet NPC’s.)

@Zyx & Young Server boy.

”Th, thank you.” The young boy stammers. His eyes not leaving the cup precariously balancing on a small plate in his hand, as if trying to use sheer will alone to keep the glowing boiling liquid in its container.
After a few more careful feet of movement he slowly slides the plate down onto an empty table only to look up and around, noticing the intended recipient is now gone.

Defeated he frowns and stands idly lost.
His eyes soon drift back to the fox-masked lady and Clay

@aia2022 and Clay.
”Honestly, never thought to try ask for anything else.” Clay says with a look of surprise and a tone of truth.
”Lets give it a go.” He leans forward excitedly with a grin as his gaze sweeps from Lavender to the nervous little imp that looks like it wants to be anywhere but where it currently is. ”Who’s incited the wrath of our angry little Fire Fox?” Clay asks teasingly.

With Dorian heading off Vendril seemed to think on the matter, placing the glass on the counter as he appeared visibly in deep thought both in posture and appearance. Though as he had to admit he didn’t think he had it in him to talk about it, for some reason it felt like Dorian either knew already or that he was just easy to talk to. Though for the future he has to be careful about letting slip anything about his life.

@Marmalised Junk@Katakuri

Speaking of which he wasn’t expecting company so soon, his eyes shifting in the direction of the individual speaking to him. Raising an eyebrow at their appearance, they certainly were different given their pigment of skin.. In fact he was curious if they were a phantom or sorts but he knew better than to ask. But he wouldn’t be rude if one speaks to him, so he’d turn in place to face them while placing his hands in his lap as he cracks just enough of a smile. “Oh?” Looking to the individual he was with as Vendril chuckles for just a moment before continuing. “I’m quite fine but thank you, just reliving memories of the past. Nothing to worry about.

Holding up his tea to the pair as a toasting like show before taking a sip himself, it was an interesting pair to be sure. The girl seemed rather young but he sensed there was something else there, besides that her looks gave away that she at least was fae raised if not born. Placing his tea on the counter as his eyes glance between the two. “Curious pairing. Anyway, formalities first, my name is Vendril, Sir Vendril. And your names are?

Lyren does not speak, they barely even move. And yet there is a feeling, an instinctual sensation, of the reply that would commonly be voiced in this case. That of, "you're welcome."

@Song Book

Ethodi might hear a whisper, there’s a familiarity to it as there is with all whispers. It was not in the sound or the tone but more where it was coming from, and that was nowhere.
The whisper echoed again in her head.

”Sorry, sorry. I am currently... ‘preoccupied’ but I will be with you as soon as I can. I will bring you more molluscs too!”

Lavender rose an eyebrow questioningly, even though she knew the man couldn’t see her face. Although she supposed she couldn’t blame him- when kept busy enough one tends to forget oneself’s own desires sometimes.

Fire Fox? That was a new one. Normally nicknames given to her would be a tad bit more on the offensive side. Nonetheless, Lavender accepted this nickname as a nice change from what she would be called usually.

”I would be heavily disappointed if the imp couldn’t actually bring Yin Liang here into this tavern, so I would think it would be wise to start small first and then build our way up to actual living creatures, no?” Lavender asked with a sigh. She would turn to the imp and requested something simple- a dagger.

The woman looked up and noticed the dark haired boy looking in her direction, but chose to ignore it and let him decide whether he would come over or not.

Anya made a mental note of Ghiar's comment about space, and followed behind him towards the two men.

The first man had left as soon as they arrived, and the other man seemed to analyse them for a few moments.
“I’m quite fine but thank you, just reliving memories of the past. Nothing to worry about.”

"Are you quite sure?"
Anya was stilled a little concerned. Memories of the past seemed to upset lots of people.

“Curious pairing. Anyway, formalities first, my name is Vendril, Sir Vendril. And your names are?”

"My name is Anya Daymourn! It's nice to meet you Sir Vendril!"
The girl smiled, baring her teeth again and muttering something under her breath like, "What could be so curious?

As Clay stared at the imp it seemed to shrink in on itself.
”A dagger hey.” he says with a toothy smile. ”Lets be more specific ” Those strange sounds seem to resonate from his mouth again, of a vocabulary that doesn’t belong in this world. They seem to have a physical effect on the imp as the air shimmers and distorts around.
”Morgul blade, you think you hear Clay say, just before a deep darkness starts to grow over the imps oily black skin, slowly surrounding it entirely, it’s large pale eyes last before it violently rips the little creature from existence.”

”Oh, now I guess we just wait and see.” Clay says sitting back in his chair and taking a swig from his ale.

Meanwhile the young boy looks on with an expression caught between horror and disgust. You notice his fists are tightly clenched at his side.

Ghiar

♎ ♎ ♎

Becoming curious about the one man leaving so suddenly, he allowed his eyes to follow. After a moment of watching the other; he realized that the man must work here. Went to the tables, conversing with the other individuals in this tavern. Quickly, he took a mental note of the man, so he could ask about jobs later - he would need one.

Allowing his attention to go back to the other man that stayed. He noticed that the other was not completely accepting of his or Anya's approach. Taking that into consideration, he would probably leave this conversation sooner than later. He did not want to cause any trouble with anyone else or make them uncomfortable, "Those can be enjoyable," he said in a gentle voice. EveryonHe bad memories, so he understood. Personally, he was not a spring chicken, so he had a lot of memories.

Glancing over at Anya, his expression seemed to soften while splotches on his skin began to change their color to a pinkish-red. Putting his attention back to Sir Vendril, his colors seemed to fade instantly from his body, "A pleasure to meet your acquaintances, Sir Vendril. I am Ghiar," introducing himself with a gentle smile. His aura might have a calming effect.

Ghiar glanced over to Anya before putting a hand on her instinctually to comfort her before stating, "Sometimes others do not wish to share their feelings, Anya," his touch might have caused a sensation of tiredness, but he realized he was touching Anya without his gloves on. Taking his hand away quickly, he grabbed a pair of gloves from his back pocket. These gloves appeared to be regular genuine leather gloves, and he slipped them on. If anyone could detect magic, they would know that these gloves were heavily dosed with whatever magic could hold back Ghiar's powers.

Looking back to the man, he bowed in respect, "It was a pleasure to meet you, but I feel like my stay has been over welcomed," Ghair said with his usual gentle tone before excusing himself. @LiegeLord@Marmalised Junk

Ghair was not one to overstay his welcome, so he was not going to bother Sir Vendril. He did not want to make other travelers uncomfortable in the tavern, plus he needed to find a job. Finding the man who left so quickly moments before, he decided to tap him on the shoulder, "Sir, I cannot help but notice and do not wish to bother you -- do you work here by chance?" he asked before getting into the questions he wanted to ask. @Dark Light

Lavender pursued her lips. She really did not expect an incantation to somewhat forcefully send an imp to fetch the item, but dark magic was dark magic. It slightly reminded her of a species from a certain seven-book series.

”Yes, we…might as well.” A hint of reluctance was present in her tone. Though she lifted her fox mask again to take a sip of wine she did not relax her posture.

Lavender turns her head in such way that her mask is directly looking at the young boy for a moment, reading his body language as easily as she would a book. Seems like he didn’t really approve of the incantation.

The woman looked back to the place where she last saw the spirit looking being and the other child when she found them- well, the child at least- next to one of the two men she spotted earlier. An interesting pair. Though she was too far away to really listen into the conversation, she concluded that it would be nice to watch their interaction from afar.

(I’m not sure whether or not I should tag you two (marmalised junk and liegelord ) but I’m just gonna be staring from a corner hehe)

"Oh they can be, it really depends on the memory." Sighing and leaning back in his spot as he placed his cane against the counter, though he wasn't magical himself he could indeed feel the magic radiating from both the gloves and the aura from the man speaking to him. Though he had to admit it didn't feel the same as one of the creatures from before and relaxed his posture as he smiles and listens to their introductions. Ghiar and Anya. Ghiar was certainly a unique name he may have only heard once before while Anya wasn't common but not as unusual as Ghiar.

He'd almost lost himself in thought as the man finished up, chuckling as he leans back forward to an upright position and offers the chairs nearby. Though it was around the moment when Ghiar was setting to excuse himself as Vendril nodded and bowed his head for a moment. "Fair is fair, pleasure meeting you. I'll be here or around if you need me or just wanna chit chat." Watching the man excuse himself before turning his attention to the fae girl as he smiles. "You are welcome to stay if you want, but if you wanna go with your friend I understand. Company is hard to garner here at times. But I must ask as to not just assume... are you a fae child or an actual fae? It's been so long since I've seen any of them."

A curious smile tugged at dorians lips, contrasted by a knowing glint in his eyes as he turned to face Ghair.
”It is not by chance that I work here, but the answer to your question is yes.” he says politely with a slight nod.
”How can I be of assistance?”

He took the measure of Ghair with a single look, assessing the man before him. But he did not look him over, or study his unusual skin, he only look into his eyes with an appraising glare, an intent focus, as he awaited patiently for a reply.

Ghiar seemed to have a mischievous smirk appear on his face when the man stated it was not by chance that he worked here and how he could assist the other. The darker hues on the gray man's body seemed to move in different patterns when he was within a certain distance of Dorian, he was made of shadows along with much more. He took a mental note of his body's reaction.
Looking into the other man's eyes, he seemed to be thinking for a second before speaking, "I was curious if you would know if this place was hiring or any place for that matter," he knew that he couldn't teleport away from this place for a decent amount of time, he used most of his energy getting himself here on accident. "I appeared here with nothing except what was on my person," he gestured to himself. Ghiar was only wearing an off-white dress shirt that had the first few buttons undone along with dark slacks. There were a few things in his pockets, but they were practically useless. @Dark Light

Dorian motions to a nearby table before taking a seat.
”Well, lets get this interview started then.” he says after Ghair joins him. Clasping his hands together above the table he begins.

”Firstly, I am Dorian Radshaw, the proprietor of this establishment. It’s a pleasure to meet you. So tell me a bit about yourself. Where are you from and what experience might you have? What do you have to offer?”

Ghiar was not surprised when he found himself face-to-face with the owner of this interesting tavern. Taking a seat after the man gestured, the interview began then and there. A faint smile revealed itself since he enjoyed a small challenge. The gray man did not appear to hesitate or become uncomfortable under the sudden shift of pressure. Dorian Radshaw, he thought while listening to the man carefully. Speaking once the other was done, he introduced himself to his possible future boss, "The pleasure is all mine, Mister Radshaw. I am Ghiar," introducing himself calmly as he kept eye contact.

Thinking about how this was probably not either of their first or last interviews, the man needed to get a grip on his teleporting and time abilities. It did not take him long to answer the beginning questions, "I was created from the 12 astrological signs over a few millenniums ago," he began to explain calmly while putting thought into his answers, "I-" he paused to think about his experiences. This was a problem when teleporting, he always forgot his most recent events, but he would remember them within time -- through dreams and sudden thoughts. "I..." trailing off again before taking a deep breath, "I cannot remember my most recent whereabouts."

Deciding it was better to explain now than later, "Everytime I purposefully or accidentally use my time abilities in major situations, I arrive somewhere new and cannot remember my most recent experiences," he would within time. Sighing at the thought, he allowed his eyes to drift quickly to the table before meeting Dorian Radshaws again.

"My experiences and offerings would be what I am able to do," he began to explain, "I can do trivial tasks like being a busser, dishwasher, or simple things of the sort." Ghiar took a second or two to think about his overall powers and skills, and how they would benefit him in getting a job. "I have telekinetic abilities, with a snap of a finger I can light candles or make them go out, I can learn more about something by touch, I can do astral projection, and by touch, I can make someone fall asleep or at least calm down -- I can also touch someone and read their current emotions," Ghiar explained the abilities that came right to his head. These were not usually needed for jobs, so he would be surprised if the man cared enough about the list he commented off.

Thinking about his skills, what has he truly learned over the years? Ghiar seemed to let his eyes fall to the table once more before picking them back up and meeting Dorian's, "I have been told that I am a decent cook in the past and I have an uncanny ability with communicating. If none of that cutout, I am a quick learner and adapt pretty easily," he should have talked himself up a bit more? Maybe? He was not one to be known for over-exaggerating even when it came to himself in situations where most would have.

Shrugging his shoulders at the thought, "For overall experiences, I think that would take hours to explain when it comes to where I have been in the past, who I have been with, worked for, or have done," Ghiar simply stated, since he lived way longer than common humans or some species that he has met.

After Ghiar left, Anya decided to stay and talk to this man for a little bit.
"I'm an actual fae. The only reason I'm this size is because around 10 years ago I tried to alter my height. If I were still the same size, I could be able to sit in the palm of your hand. A lot of people believe I was taken as a baby, like some others are."

After thinking for a moment, she asked a question herself.
"Shall we trade questions? It's fun to do it. What creature are you? You seem human, but you have a certain feeling about you that seems different from humans."

She laughed for a second, awaiting Vendril's answer.

”Well.” Dorian says as he places his hands down on the table in a manner concluding the interview the interview.
”Without you being sure of your exact skill set or experience I see only one solution, a trial period of various tasks until you find one that you excel at. If there is one. We hold our employees to a high standard here.”

It was at that moment, as if in defiance to Dorian, Clay the shirtless rugged bar keep dropped a bottle and and only laugh as it shattered over the floor.

Dorian held his composure but you could tell he was stirring beneath the near implacable mask.
”There are exceptions and circumstances to some rules.”

"Well."

Ghiar did not know if he should take that starter positively or negatively, but he carefully watched Dorian Radshaw. Thinking about the response he was going to get from his possible boss. Listening, was glad to hear that the man was going to give him a chance, "I understand. Thank you, Mister Radshaw. I hope I do not disappoint -- when do I start?" he was curious if he was going to be starting his job now or later.

Hearing the bottle smash on the floor, his eyes darted over to the rugged bar keep that was shirtless. Ghiar could not help his questionable look at the man, as if he felt like the individual purposefully broke the bottle. Putting his attention back to the owner of the tavern, he nodded, "I will try my best not to be a part of those exceptions and circumstances," Ghiar was hoping that he wasn't a pain in the behind within the first week or first few weeks. @Dark Light
