Nobody really knows Norman and he likes to keep it that way. For those that know of his past, he’s surprisingly well put together for a felon. He goes to church, doesn’t raise his voice, and usually makes a point to avoid conflict. This doesn’t mean he’s a pacifist, hell no. It’s a complicated set of circumstances that leans a bit more into his fears of losing control of the situation. Calm. Cool. Collected. That’s Norman Wicker. He can be a bit of a grump…or maybe he’s not the best at communicating. His voice, words, and mannerisms are rather gruff. He gives off a jaded impression towards most people. Deep down, Norman sees himself as a mildly pathetic man- that’s why he’s doing work with the NSPD as a detective. He craves redemption, and anybody familiar with him would know exactly why. He’s got blood on his hands, but he’s also decently clever and a unique perspective to offer towards the investigation.

Behind his usually apathetic demeanor, Norman is a nervous person. He's paranoid by nature thanks to his tenure in state prison. Getting close to people…yeah, no. Not his forté. Relationships are messy. At least he’s polite with his coworkers, as they partially scare him. Perhaps his anxieties are worsened by the pressure of being constantly monitored for his behavior. Prevention is the best intervention in his book, after all. Nobody can tell if he’s being a bootlicking schmuck to walk free of if he’s serious about atoning- probably because he’s not saying much.

D A Y S - G O N E Born in 2005, Norman’s childhood is largely unimportant. His father was a preacher, and his mother…eh, he doesn’t want to talk about her. She’s buried in his hometown of Sterling, Connecticut. How he got to Washington State was the result of a muddy divorce, several marriages, and jumping from state to state for work. This all took place between the ages of 9-15. It wasn’t a broken homelife, but it wasn’t exactly stable.

The real story starts when Norman was 21-years-old and the newest, most optimistic recruit of the NSPD. Yes, the city ate him alive. No, it wasn’t pretty. It’s astonishing what time can do to a person. He started having a change of heart, but was in too deep with a current case to back out. BLAH BLAH BLAH ETC ETC wait perf i thought he was a felon? Im not FINISHED

2045 - CENSUS Felon

M E M O R I E SPhilip Wicker - Younger brother who followed the family tradition and became a preacher. Nobody says it, but he’s the family favorite.

Theodore “Teddy” Gallagher - Norman’s 19-year-old son that he doesn’t talk to often. Teddy doesn’t like to associate with his father because of his criminal record. They never really got to know each other.
