*Within the bowels of a massive, planet-class star civilization, Jack walks with a burning cigar in his mouth, the trail a plume of fluorescent colors. The lit ash reflects off his aviator sunglasses as he walks, a hooded man beside him*
Jack: Not much longer now, sorry for the wait. I know you've been itching for payback against the empire that wronged you for a long time, now.
*the hooded figure, while masked, allows for a sound of disgust at the mention of that empire to escape his lips. He glares at Jack with a fury of a scorned, revenge filled demeanor*
???: this had better work. I want to not just break him… but turn him against himself. And I
refuse to allow those Amaranthine bastards to take all the glory. They've lived in the limelight for too long. It's time to make a mess of their little league of supervillains as well.
Jack: Now, remember that Shinji still dies by my hand, no matter what.
*He pushes his way under low hanging wires across what looks like a desolate techno-scape, arriving before a large, cylindrical room, hundreds of machines and contraptions of various sizes completing tasks of untold proportions. Underneath this mass of metal and wires, standing an intimidating 8 feet tall, is an amalgamation of steel and flesh. A beast reminiscent of both what could be of a bleak future, and yet also a dark, malevolent past. Jack stops a few feet before the being, and with a quick bow, he presents him a bag with a shimmering aura from his jacket*
Jack: I was ingormed you enjoyed this delicacy, from a place long gone before my time. What I have aquired for you no longer exists, other than this finite source within my hands.
*the lumbering, hulking organic machine paces semi-slowly toward him, after glancing in his direction*
Beast: A lowly mortal? Achieving impossibility? It would seem you can work miracles, Mythic Jack. Byt for how long can you pull things out of thin air? How long until time catches up with you?
Jack: I don't care. let it come. I see it as a challenge, and rightfully so. Anyways, I have done as requested. Shall you share with us your knowledge?
*the beast reveals its true form from within the darkness*
Salakh-Ul: You impress me, then ask me to do somethign for you. You are braver than I thought, mortal. Salakh-Ul has things he can learn from you.
???: Wait, you're Salakh-Ul? Fated Destroyer Of Worlds?
Salakh-Ul: ah, yes. Rorke. The only mortal with the mettle to take on man-made gods. One day, I wish to challenge you. I'd be
thrilled to see how long you last.
Rorke: with enough prep time… I can do anything.
