Yep. Also its likely in that time we see more use of robots in factories and such. I won't write down technology guidlines though, I will just check over the app and see if there anything that be unrealistic in that time.

Whilst I don't like drones, I would assume that they're more commonly used in the military field, aswell?

Most likely. Although even then they still be restricted to larger more richer nations, since they still be pretty expensive.

Oh, absolutely, and with them the use of EMP type weapons would disasterously expand.

Nope, there are weapons built specifically for the purpose of creating EMPs. The EMP is actually a side-effect of a thermonuclear detonation.
