<Snipped quote by Artifact>
*Tilts my head*
Oh. Is that a hot-button topic for you?
No, you're fine. You'll just need to be clever to come up with one that's new to me.
<Snipped quote by Artifact>
*Tilts my head*
Oh. Is that a hot-button topic for you?
<Snipped quote by Revolutionary>
No, you're fine. You'll just need to be clever to come up with one that's new to me.
<Snipped quote by Artifact>
It’s well beyond the idea of originality for me at this point. The number of machine-jokes hurled my way, let me tell you.
<Snipped quote by Revolutionary>
You get it. And without putting any effort into it.
<Snipped quote by Artifact>
Oh yeah. But I kind of just take it at this point. The people who make those jokes, it’s a novelty to them even if it’s lost its luster for me. So they can have it.
<Snipped quote by Revolutionary>
That takes some otherworldly patience. Credit to you.
<Snipped quote by Artifact>
As long as they’re not mean about it. I’m fine with a machine being what I am, but I resent it being my identity. If that makes sense.
<Snipped quote by Revolutionary>
That part's interesting. Kat the person isn't tied to Kat the machine?
<Snipped quote by Artifact>
I’m an android. Physically. But I am a person. I have humanity.
<Snipped quote by Revolutionary>
What do they do that makes you feel like they only care about the android part?
*Taps my fingers together*
Oh! I hope I didn't make you upset by asking questions earlier!
<Snipped quote by Artifact>
You didn’t. I am what I am, and I don’t have a problem with that. But people can get mean if they want to and sling malicious things my way. Most commonly in the form of name calling, as you could imagine after our talk about originality. I’ve been called things like bucket-head a lot.
<Snipped quote by Revolutionary>
That's just a rude thing to say to anyone.
<Snipped quote by Artifact>
*Laughs*
Oh yeah. I’m sure you know all too well, also. I’d be shocked if no one used knowledge of your uniqueness against you maliciously. A lot of people have a hard time not doing that.
<Snipped quote by Revolutionary>
It happens. But I'm also not usually someplace where my water-ness is something people get the chance to learn about. But on that note, the next time someone asks me "water you doing," I think I'm going to lose my mind.
<Snipped quote by Artifact>
*Stifles a laugh*
Okay, that’s new to me, but I do see how that can get old. I can relate. Venting that frustration is even often met with “Did you blow a fuse?”
<Snipped quote by Revolutionary>
I'm not very technology-minded, but do you... have fuses?
<Snipped quote by Artifact>
No, I don’t even have them. They’re not needed.
<Snipped quote by Revolutionary>
*Points a vertical open palm toward you*
See? It's not funny when it doesn't even have anything to do with you. I've gotten fire jokes before. Fire!
<Snipped quote by Artifact>
Once upon a time, I did laugh. I have to be honest.
