Human Form: Shown in the image. As shown in the image, Tidus is a blonde haired boy with blue eyes that stands at around 5’9” in terms of height. He often wears the clothing shown in the images above although he does take on a slightly different appearance in his merfolk form.
Merfolk Form: His merfolk form is almost the same as his human form with the exception of the cerulean colored tail that glows in the dark that replaces the lower body of a human. The tail fin itself is that of a halfmoon betta fish. Also, he doesn’t wear a shirt in his merfolk form.
Personality, Powers, Abilities and WeaponsPersonality: Tidus tends to be on the energetic side when it comes to his personality. While this can make him rather hard to handle at times, he can be calm although moments where he is completely calm are somewhat uncommon compared to the moments where his energetic nature shines through. He is also somewhat childish although he can also be serious when the situation calls for it. He is also rather friendly which has been witnessed by many people who interact with him. Oh and he does not like his dad whatsoever.
Powers:
•Immortality - Due to being a merman (Merfolk in his world do not age past a certain point.), Tidus cannot age past 17 years of age and for some odd reason, is also immune to dying via poison and disease. However, this ability doesn’t protect him from getting injured.
•Shapeshifting - From human form to merfolk form. Tidus is able to switch between a human form meant for land and his merfolk form which is meant for the water.
• Spellcasting (Magic) - Basically Magic. It has various weaknesses depending on the kind of magic and different elements are effective against one another. For example, Fire magic is rather effective on ice magic but it is beaten by Water Magic. Similarly, light magic and dark magic are weak to one another. Also, not casting a spell correctly can lead to some disastrous consequences.
• The ability to breathe underwater (PASSIVE ABILITY)
•Weapon Summoning - The user is able to summon weapons from a pocket dimension that acts as a storage space for them. Currently, the only weapon type that Tidus is able to summon from that are swords. (Sealed away by the residents of Ravenwood)
Abilities:
•Tsunami - The user summons a massive wave of water to attack their foes with. This ability is most often used by sea dragons and Leviathan herself although Tidus is able to use it as well.
•Energy Rain: This attack requires for Tidus to jump off of an enemy or an object into the air where he then charges mystical energy into his sword before throwing down said energy to explode on his foes (ACTIVE ABILITY) (Only usable in human form)
• Blitz Ace - Probably his most notable ability, this ability also requires the use of mobility since Tidus slices at his enemy eight times before using the hilt of his sword to leap into the air before he kicks a Blitzball into his target which… explodes on impact. This ability isn’t powerful enough to destroy a mountain but it can cause a lot of damage. (ACTIVE ABILITY) (Usable in both forms although in his merfolk form, he swims upwards instead of using the hilt of his sword to leap into the air and smacks the exploding blitzball into his opponent by using his tail.)

Backstory and Other InfoBackstory:
Tidus is the prince of an underwater kingdom known as Zanarkand however, there are a few mysteries surrounding him. He was created from the crystallized corpse of a sea dragon (yes, the sea dragons in his world do end up crystallizing after death) around 17 years ago by the king and queen of the kingdom and due to this, he was a little different from the other merfolk. However, despite this difference, he was able to have a normal childhood for the most part until he turned 17. This was the year that he decided to participate in the upcoming blitzball tournament although little did he know that he would end up in another world.
As he got ready for the tournament itself, he decided to get some practice in with his team before the big game however, at the same time that he was practicing, a mysterious phenomenon happened which ended up leaving him stranded in another version of his world’s Spira. It was there that he met up with Yuna, a fledgling summoner who had just started on her pilgrimage to defeat a being known as Sin. However, the journey would not be easy and there would be some points in time where there were obstacles that would get in the way of the group’s progress. While they managed to overcome these obstacles one by one (The obstacles included numerous monster battles, traversing through the Thunder Plains, crashing a wedding between Yuna and Seymour, Seymour himself NUMEROUS times, and other miscellaneous things although there were also some fun moments in their journey as well.), they only culminated up to the point where the group finally made it to the end of the summoner’s pilgrimage. There, they were faced with the decision to sacrifice one member of their group to become Fayth needed to summon the Final Aeon which would be used to defeat Sin. However, it was ultimately a group decision to forgo the summoning of the Final Aeon and find another way to defeat Sin that didn’t require it. (Tidus was the one who spoke out against the Final Summoning )
However, at this point in time, Tidus was still keeping a secret about how he was actually a merman and getting caught up in a water bubble created by a water element spell accidentally revealed this secret. When it was revealed, Tidus quickly tried to find somewhere to hide away although he was noticed by Rikku, one of the members of the group that he was traveling with which ended up causing him to explain that he was in fact a merman prince from the undersea kingdom of Zanarkand (He didn’t even state that he was from Zanarkand at all until this point in his story). While some of the members of the group originally thought that he was joking, they eventually realized that he was being serious and then started to discuss how to defeat Sin without using the Final Summoning. However, the group would soon find out that Sin was actually Tidus’s father which had been revealed when they had to go inside of Sin itself in order to defeat it.
The following battle was a tough one as the bonds that the group had forged between one another were tested again and again with each battle that they fought however, the worst of it had yet to come as they soon came face to face with Tidus’s father who WAS Sin itself. This ended up raising a few more questions about what else was being hidden from the group although all of the members of the group had to push back their questions until the end of the fight before going into the final battle. Like what one would expect from any final battle, this final battle was fairly difficult and several members of the group were almost close to defeat several times which also meant that those who knew White Magic (healing magic) had to use healing spells a little more often than usual which helped to heal and negate some of the damage that the party had sustained although they managed to defeat Sin (and Yu Yevon) after what seemed like an eternity of fighting to them which also meant that it was time for Tidus to return to the Zanarkand that he was from.
However, before he decided to go back to the undersea kingdom of Zanarkand, Tidus decided to stay around for a little while longer and then ended up saying one last farewell to his friends before jumping off of the deck of the Fahrenheit (it wasn’t directly stated in this version of Tidus’s story when the party got the airship although they also had to use it to enter Sin to defeat it.) and then returned to his kingdom through unknown means. When he arrived back at his home kingdom however, he realized that his life wouldn’t be quite the same as before as he returned to the castle that had been his home for 17 years. He had realized this due to the fact that the castle was a little more desolate than he had remembered although he decided that he wouldn’t let this bother him and entered the castle. When he arrived in the castle, he was greeted by several of the merfolk that worked there and soon enough, he was preparing to become the crown prince of the undersea kingdom of Zanarkand. That was… until he ended up being summoned to World B when his home world was destroyed.
