Let's set the scene.
A summer job and a gathering of four. Congratulations! Your group interview has concluded with your team getting the position! The role of Security Operations Management! Make sure your uniforms are ironed, your sleep schedules tight! Because we will be doing this all.. Night... Long.
You are a security guard for an undisclosed correctional establishment with no name and no obvious faces in the prisoner population, nor in upper-management. Your employment opportunity was presented to you in the form of a black, unlabelled envelope offering the potential for an interview. The money's amazing, the graveyard shift is acceptable, but the goal is unclear.
Every night you are presented a list of instructions printed through a small machine with no apparent rhyme or reason. You are cornered in a tight box in the middle of the underground establishment, and the hallways parallel to your sides are lined with doors with numbers, and no windows to perceive through them. Will you break the rules and leave your post, exploring the dungeon-like hallways? Or will you stay put, be a good dog and do as your told?
One of those choices will kill you, and the fact is... The answer isn't as obvious as you think.

Rules
Let's keep this simple:
- God moding, God-like characters and disregarding injury or harm: Big no-no. Keep your characters balanced with strengths and weaknesses. If your character is being attacked during the role-play, make realistic responses to harm. E.g describing realistic ways your character might dodge an attack, or persuade an enemy. Your characters will be human, but don't be dissuaded by the race-lock; people tend to change in this place.
- In PVP, use "advancing" language instead of "absolute" language: By this, I mean - when attacking or generally including the actions of another player in your post, phrase it in a way that doesn't force them to enact it. E.g don't say "I stab so and so", instead say "I swing my blade in so and so's direction, attempting to hit their neck". Keeping events open ended keeps everybody happy.
- Just be transparent: If you're unable to post for a certain time or can no longer participate for any reason, that's fine, but please let the group know when you can. Communication is key.

Oh, and another thing...
- If you're interested, either DM me or reply with your character concept, or even beforehand just flick me a quick expression of interest and do your character in your own time so you don't feel too rushed.
- This bit's important. In our first cycle of posts, "interviews" will be conducted for each player character, so feel free to use this "introduction" to display any further information about your character. Keep your answers to the interviewer's questions in the same vein as your character might respond. This is not a test, simply a bit of information gathering. You have been notified.
