Hey there!
Welcome to my somewhat vague interest check <3
To keep it short and simple: I've been playing Hogwarts Legacy and, as a direct result, have been craving a decent RP set in the HP world.
I don't really have a particular plot in mind yet. I just know I would like some drama, some danger, some romance.
This doesn't have to be a 'student x student' thing, I am absolutely happy to go up with the age range. As I am turning 30 this year, it feels more natural anyway.
I like to sprinkle in some romance, so you'd need to be up for that. I will readily admit that I tend to loose interest without it. Slow-burn is fine though and anything that might happen between characters is obviously negotiable. As long as some intimacy is involved, we can fade to black for anything that you're not comfortable with.
So, other possible pairings I can think of right now are:
teacher x teacher (hogwarts, as we know, has a great many secrets. Maybe one accepted the job cause they're looking for something?)
teacher x auror (maybe as a consultant kind of setting?)
auror x civilian (hunting them? protecting them? needing them for something?)
Naturally, there's more. Feel free to make a suggestion of your own.
As for the setting: Like I said, doesn't have to be Hogwarts. Doesn't even have to be in the UK. We can figure something out once we have a plot, maybe.
What time to set it in is also up for negotiation. I'd like it somewhere in the past though, nothing too modern.
And last but not least, the rules I'd like to set:
~ Please be over the age of 18. Like I said, I'm 29 years old (and female, btw) and would really like to not feel like a creep.
~ I like to do both MxF or MxM pairings and I prefer the female role in the first case.
~ Use proper grammar, be literate, the usual. Then again, english is not my first language so I know sometimes it's inevitable to make mistakes but I find communication usually helps. However: I can't RP with you if I don't understand half of what you're trying to say.
~ We can talk about how often we will manage to reply in a week, I know it can vary and I don't mind waiting for a good reply. Time zones can be a very big factor here. Given my work (full-time, 8 to 4), I should be able to reply once a day, more on weekends. If you have a different schedule, don't worry about it, we'll figure it out.
~ Please, I beg of you, if you're interested, then actually talk to me. I can't count how many times I've gotten one-liners from people saying they're interested. Tell me what you think of the idea you like, what you might want to change, what you want to work on, just, anything. Keeping up enthusiasm about an RP when I don't feel like I'm getting anything in return really puts a damper on things. Also, I've been doing this for... close to 13 years now. Usually, if you can't write more than one sentence introducing yourself, the RP is not going to hold up.
~ One last thing: I've tagged this Casual and Advanced. I usually adjust the length of my post to my partners, unless the plot calls for somethign longer or shorter. I don't need a short novel for every post (unless you're into that). I'm happy with, like, two to three paragraphs of middling length.
If anyone is interested, please feel free to contact me via PM.
I look forward to hearing from... someone. Anyone. :)
