Hello! I am Captain Manbeard, or you can just call me Jeff. I am looking to set up a few long-running 1x1 MxF roleplays with literate partners who can write at an advanced level. I've been writing for most of my life, whether that be school projects, RPs, short stories, or novels. The first story I ever remember writing was back in middle school when I had to create my own Greek God in my Reading class, but I got creative and changed the entire canon to bring the Gods into modern day. Then I wrote a scene about Zeus playing basketball, he went for a godly slam dunk, and when the ball hit the ground, it burst open and inside was a newly born baby God (yes I did copy Athena's origin a little). He was Kazama, and became the God of Basketball, Video Games, and Rap Music. Kinda cringe now as an adult, but as a 13 year old in the 90s, I thought it was amazing XD.
Here are a few of my ideas:
Here are a few of my ideas:
My idea for this is a story set in a small community similar to Pelican Town with fleshed out NPCs and such, but with magic as prevalent as in Hogsmeade, but with a growing mystery and portals to a monster world like in Hawkins. I am looking for a literate partner who can write at an advanced level and is excited by the idea of designing an entire town of people with me as a sandbox for us to play in. I am interested in a MxF pairing, with me playing the male.
As for exactly how our main characters fit into the narrative, we can hash that out via PM, but we could probably center it around a breach into a demonic realm that opens up in the abandoned mines in the mountains nearby that threatens the safety of the town. Maybe one of our characters is a monster hunter who comes to investigate while the other is an alchemy shop owner in town. Or maybe one is a bartender and the other is a farmer and they get pulled into the unfolding plot somehow. Or maybe one is the town doctor and the other was fishing up the river when they got infected by some demonic virus that came out of the mines. We can make our characters whatever we want XD. If interested, please slide into my PMs.

My idea for this is sort of a fusion AU between Star Wars and Star Trek. Starfleet is the Galactic Republic's largest space-faring naval organization, and they have absorbed what used to be known long ago as the Jedi Order. It now exists as the Starfleet Jedi Division, and has multiple sub-divisions that thread into other parts of Starfleet, such as the Jedi Guardian Corps (security and frontline combat forces), the Jedi Consular Assembly (diplomats, scientists, and doctors), and the Jedi Sentinel Bureau (officers specializing in investigations, intelligence, counter-terrorism, and covert operations). Regardless of which sub-division a Force-sensitive officer ends up in, they have usually received some kind of guidance from a mentor in their youth, and then join the Jedi Initiate Course when they enroll at Starfleet Academy.
Our characters are Jedi students at the Academy on Coruscant, at the end of our junior year (so that makes us around 20/21 years old or so), and we are about to embark on a Cadet Cruise for six weeks. This is meant to help us decide what path we want to take in Starfleet so that we can begin specialized training in our senior year. We will meet and work with Guardians, Consulars, and Sentinels on our cruise and complete a variety of tasks. Or that was the plan, at least...
In the middle of our Cadet Cruise, the galaxy is thrown into chaos with the start of the Clone Wars. In this AU, the Clone Troopers are Force-sensitive and were created from hybrid DNA spliced from both Klingons and Sith Purebloods, making them deadly in both ranged and melee combat. Instead of fighting for the Republic, they serve a body known as the Dark Council, which has manipulated dozens of planets into seceding from the Republic to form the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Secretly, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine has edged the galaxy towards this fate by supporting higher taxes and more corporate regulations in order to stoke angers and make it easier for the Dark Council to persuade planetary governments towards the Separatist Movement.
So, our characters get caught up in this conflict, and we're offered temporary field commissions as Acting Ensigns until we can get back to the Academy. Throughout the ordeal, we begin to form a bond and eventually romance blossoms. We also end up encountering Order 66, a team of Clone Troopers specializing in hunting down Jedi and killing them.
We can develop the idea further via PM.

Your character is a college girl enjoying her Summer vacation in Hawaii. My character is a tribal warrior on the island of Muatoya, which is near the Hawaiian Islands but cloaked by magical barriers. His people have the ability to shift between human and dragon forms. In the past, there were many more of them, but the tribe has been nearly wiped out in recent decades by hunters and poachers who want their magical blood, bones, horns, and scales for black markets around the world. The tribe began hiring outsiders to help guard their island, but this eventually led to the development of a secret society of pirates and mercenaries using it as a hideout. The tribe can't kick them off the island because then the criminals would have no reason left not to kill them and sell their parts - the only reason they keep them alive is because the dragons control the barrier keeping the island hidden. It's a very loose treaty that holds for now.
A problem has been creeping up, though - the male dragons are beginning to outnumber the female dragons, meaning their population could dwindle enough to weaken the barrier. To combat this, the pirates and mercenaries - known collectively as Red Jaguars or Red Jags - agree to seek out women to bring to the island to mate with the dragons. Their hope is that if they produce enough hybrid offspring, maybe there will still be enough magic on the island to keep the barrier up.
But the Red Jags lied to the tribe and said they would only bring women who agreed to come. In reality, however, they started abducting them from various areas around the Hawaiian Islands, including your character. She is paired with my character, and he is furious when he discovers she was brought against her will. But the Red Jags threaten to execute any women who don't go along with their forced marriages, so our characters play along at first while secretly making plans in their bedroom at night to overthrow the Red Jags. Maybe they also discover that your character has some dormant magical potential deep within her, and my character allows her to drink his blood in order to awaken it.
We can develop the idea more via PM XD. Oh, I forgot to mention, the reason the Red Jags have such a hold over the dragons is because they severely outnumber them and do have some magical abilities themselves derived from enchanted artifacts, magitech devices, and alchemical potions.

We can develop the plot together via PM, but the overall setting is the city-state of Madripoor from the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the year 2085. There are a variety of tales we can tell in this RP, so it'll leave it vague for now and then we can hash it out.

My idea for this can be molded for a variety of RPs. The setting is our modern day Earth, but all the races and magic from D&D and other similar fantasy worlds exist. To fit that better, we should say that all the races reach adulthood at the same rate as humans, but some may take slightly longer than others to become elderly. So, you could have a human and an elf who are childhood friends, they go to school together and age at the same rate into adulthood, but the signs of advanced aging will take significantly longer to show on the elf than the human. So an elf might chronologically be in their 90s but physically they still look a few decades younger and won't appear "elderly" until like 120 years of age.
As for the society of this hybrid world, it's still very similar to our own with smartphones and computers and internet and vehicles and all, but with the addition of various non-human races walking around and the presence of magical abilities and items. The idea I have for the aesthetic is kinda similar to the anime-style Travel Oregon commercials, which I will post below. PM me if interested XD.

My idea for this is an AU version of the setting presented in Carnival Row, but with a wider variety of magical races, similar to D&D. We can develop the plot via DM, but here are the trailers for the two seasons of the show to give you an idea of the aesthetic.
