Trying to see if some plots here are worthwhile & see who might bite out there. Feel free to toss ideas, brainstorm, etc. I'm very open to discussions, very flexible. I want us all to have a good time; not feel so constrained or expected of things. Also if any of these are of enough interest to combine, I'm willing to discuss that also.
Large groups, small groups, 1x1.
Simple synopses:
1] One character has the ability to see a different realm while others [that we know of] cannot. Their visions of the realm over lap or take them away from reality. Is there some reason for the character to be able to see the other realm? Some evil force? Some remedy? Can they cross into the other realm? Oh the discoveries!
2] A character is approached by a child who claims to have come from a different world or time period. Why & how did they arrive to the other character? Can the child be trusted? What overlapping issues may there be with this time travelling child.
(Honestly this reminded me of some Trunks in DBZ, but I wasn't going for that idea.)
3] A character is a scientist who makes a groundbreaking discovery. Potential to change the world. There are powers at hand [supernatural or realistic government situations] which want to steal/suppress this knowledge. Can the discovery be for good or evil?
4] A renowned assassin slow grows a conscience; wanting to limit the kills and possible even back out of the gig. What caused them to change? Will others put them on a list to assassinate the assassin? What partners/others would he slowly be able to trust in order to help them?
(Again, this one certainly made me think of "The Professional")
5] The characters live in a city which is seriously divided; politically, demographically, financially. The city is walled & nobody is allowed to leave [that they know of]. What would happen if the group escaped? What would they find or have to decide to do?
(Makes me think of a combination of "Snowpiercer" & FF7)
6] A detective stuck on a cold case which everyone else had given up on. Digging deeper they finally begin to find some connection to something else. Discoveries that nobody else caught onto. Other characters can be helping the detective, supervisor, family/friends of the person/s involved, etc.
7] Military style; I would be down to do some kind of military RP. That ol' cliche. Future, past, current. Some big deal or just surviving the war.
8] A character wakes up one day & their memories were stolen. Not lost, not amnesia; but stolen. Why? What did they know that caused this to happen? Who stole them & why? What can the character remember, if any at all? What will happen to the character & any companion that decides to help them?
(Ahh. This has me think of the movie "Momento" for sure. Doesn't have to be at all, just similar.)
9] Rebellion vs kingdom; Like some Robin Hood character, they become a leader of a rebellious force against the kingdom [monarchy, patriarchy, whatever]. Who is the good & who is the bad? What would happen if the rebellions usurped the kingdom?
10] A character is able to see some people's future or demise. Very few, but enough to trouble them in life. They find someone, feelings grow, and the person unfortunately sees the fate of the other. Do they tell them when/how they will die? Can they prevent it without disrupting/distorting time? Is there anyone else who can help them?
11] Characters who have powers based on the zodiac signs. Considered warriors but for good or evil? So the powers are specific to that character. Other forces would have these powers as well. Whatever forces to fight or struggle against can be decided. This one is pretty open to discussion, I just like the idea of horoscope fighters.
12] Apocalyptic survivors. Enough said there, right? Which ever direction with this. Much available to brainstorm & decide upon.
13] A character [or two? or small group?] are explorers & archaeologists, anthropologists, who end up stranded in a very remote area. Thinking of jungles. Do they survive? How? Are there any further secrets in the area to disrupt their plans? Will tribes be an issue for them?
(has me think of Green Hell pretty hard)
