Maggie attentively listened to Fae's explanation, regarding the split, and how much it had affected her, as well as her relationship with Daphne. While it has indeed created a shift, it was clear that has mostly impacted Fae, albeit tremendously. The female Rogers glanced down at the other's wrists, once more, and swallowed; her throat tightening up. She had known the other for several years, after meeting her and Dia, for the first time, during one of the gang's many getaways. There were many trips, but this one, in particular, stayed with her.

It was summer, and the gang stayed at a rental house, near the beach, for a few weeks. Except this time, they brought additions; in this case, Dia, Maggie, and Fae, since the place that they stayed at, had more bedrooms. It was all up to the Roger siblings to provide food for the group, three times a day, although it was Maggie, doing most of the cooking. Her heart and soul was into culinary. However, she remembered that she had extra help, whenever Maggie found herself, figuratively taking more what she could chew. Perhaps more than once, she had Dia and/or Fae lending a hand, every now and then.

Since that very summer and, after some good and bad encounters, the girls have been tightly knit, ever since, doing activities together, outside of being sleuths. The most memorable were watching movies, after eating dinner that Maggie herself had cooked. This, including the downs, also seemed to have brought forth some feelings that were beyond the throes of friendship, especially after they all shared that they liked the same gender. For Fae, it was a preference, resulting from bad experiences.

It was then and there, that the next challenge appeared: Admittance. Maggie liked women, and she liked them, but wherever their own feelings were, she couldn't jump the gun nor voice them aloud. She didn't want to hurt them. Whether or not, the other two girls had the same mindset, she didn't know.

"Shhh...shh..", Maggie shushed her, once she saw the tears fall. A sob followed, and that's when the female Rogers immediately acted: By wrapping her arms around her, and bringing her in, close, so Fae's face was hidden from the attention of the people in the lobby. "It's okay. It's okay", she continued to say, softly, hoping to comfort the other. "We're here now. Believe me, we're not going anywhere, and we didn't forget you. Never have, never will, okay?", she brought herself back to look Fae in the eye, and run her hand through the girl's hair, fixing it up. "Nobody can change you for who you really are", then came a genuine smile.

Fae let out another sob as Maggie wrapped her arms around her, pulling her into an embrace. She listened to her voice as she said it would be okay, her body trembled from her silent tears as the woman spoke to her about how her and Dia were here for her. Her body just started to relax at that fact; she had her friends back with her. They still loved her, and she loved them.
When Maggie pulled away to look Fae in the eyes and fixed up her hair, she couldn't stop the blush flooding over her face as she felt her heart race. She gave her trademark wonky smile back after Maggie mentioned that no one could really change her.
"Thank you." Fae managed to speak, her voice a bit croaky from her crying before she glanced to Dia as well, getting a soft smile from the other female. "Both of you. I've missed you so... So much."

Dia gave a soft smile as Fae looked to her and she glanced over to Maggie with a bit of an accepting nod, as a way to say that she agreed with what she said. "We've never forgotten you." Dia spoke after a moment of silence, smiling a bit more. "Admittedly, I dreamed of you guys almost weekly." She said as she looked away in slight embarrassment, "It was more just... Reliving memories. The Movies, the Shopping, the Beach house."
Fae's blush became deeper at the mention of the beach house, getting a glimpse briefly of the time they first got changed around each other, Fae trying her best to keep her eyes off Maggie and Dia as she sat awkwardly in a tank top and Bikini bottoms as they got ready to go to the beach.

"Remember when you found that eel?" Fae managed to speak again, Dia gave a laugh as she started to blush as well.
"Gods yes, I remember screaming for you guys to have a look. And then Maggie wanted to catch it so she could try cooking it." Dia said with a soft sigh.
"I don't think we could have eaten it anyway." Fae said before she looked to Maggie, "But all those recipes sounded lovely. Have you ever managed to make them?" Dia glanced to Maggie as well, tilting her head slightly.

Her comforting words seemed to be working wonders, as Fae showed herself being able to grasp them. She was brightening up, and that's what she really needed, right now. Giving her a kiss on the cheek, Maggie hugged the girl again. "I've missed you too", she said, giving one last squeeze, before pulling away. "There hasn't been a day where I haven't", the female Rogers added, giving a sad smile, before glancing at Dia, and held her hand, stroking it with her thumb.

However, by bringing up the beach house, it made her giggle -- especially once the eel incident was brought up, which definitely made her blush and laugh. "Hey, it would have made a great kebob!", the female Rogers piped in, with a wink. "Can you imagine roasted vegetables with a roasted eel?", she asked, with a blissful sigh, before shaking her head at Fae's question, frowning. "I could never cook those without the gang present. Especially without the both of you. It didn't feel the same, so the dishes were a bit more depressing unlike before", she explained, feeling quite down at the thought, for a moment, until a fond smile appeared, and she playfully poked Fae's nose.

"But no more of that", Maggie said, and placed her other hand, in the hand of the young Blake. "We're happier now, and together again. Smiles and all", no words were ever truer, and Rogers couldn't think of any other place, apart from now. Aside from family, and her friends, these two are whom she needed most. "How about I surprise you both, with a drink?", she said, glancing between them, and biting her lower lip with a hopeful yet giddy smile. She carefully lifted herself up from the lounge, and made her way to the nearby bar, looking back at them for a moment, before looking forward; the blush appearing, once more, with that giddy smile again.

Fae's face deepened in red as Maggie kissed her cheek, she was glad her friends missed her as much as she missed them. Maybe this trip wasn't going to be so bad, she had her friends back; her broken heart starting to slowly mend. She glanced to Dia as Maggie moved to hold her hand.
Dia only smiled back to Maggie as she smiled and laughed about the eel encounter. "The poor thing was endangered! We couldn't just eat him." Dia countered gently before she gave a bit frown at the mention of Maggie's cookie becoming more depressing.

Fae gave a giggle as Maggie poked at her nose and was going to reach out to do the same before she put her hand on top of hers. Fae nodded to her words without a thought, "Of course, we're back together; why wouldn't we smile?" She said before Maggie offered to surprise them with a drink. "A drink?" She repeated almost as a question before she gave a nod.
"A drink would be lovely." Dia added with a grin, watching Maggie stand up and head off to the bar. She moved to put her hand of Fae's, getting a flinch from the other girl.

"You okay?" Dia asked, Fae nodded quickly.
"I'm fine, why do you ask?" Fae looked to Dia in worry, hoping she could see through her mind and knew her feelings.
"Your face is red." Dia started with a bit of a frown, "You're not getting sick are you?" Fae shook her head with a small smile.
"No no, I'm... I'm okay." Fae said, A little Love Sick maybe. She thought to herself quietly.

Just as everything was going by, with tranquility...

"Monsters! Monsters!", Scooby comes running across the lobby, clearly frightened, bumping into a few people - tripping them and/or knocking the wind out of them - before eventually, albeit clumsily, finding shelter underneath one of the tables, taking out some of the objects that were above it. The shenanigan seemed to have attracted unwanted attention, since all of the other guests were turning their heads. Maggie, waiting for the drinks that she ordered, turned to watch her brother's dog, and narrowed her eyes in disbelief, trying to figure out why Scooby was consistently throwing frightful fits, since their arrival. The haunted house was one thing, but it appeared that the dog was mysteriously getting worked up in a completely normal setting. Was he seeing something that they couldn't? Did it only appear to him?

"Scooby, this is the most embarrassing thing you've done, since you decide to clean your beans at Don Knotts' Christmas party!", Fred scolded, making the poor dog whine in shame. He then took a relenting breath. "How many times do I have to tell you, boy?", he continued albeit softly, before kneeling down, and petting the canine's head for comfort. "There are no such things as ghouls, ghosts, goblins or monsters."

The leader looked around at the unsure faces of the people, around them. "Everyone, listen up", he said, getting up from where he knelt. "There is absolutely, absolutely no such thing as-", right before he could finish, the glass upon the lobby's front windows, suddenly shatters. Strong wind blew through, and the lights above, wildly flickered. Green wisps flew inside the lobby, and took shape: A thin leonine stature, much taller than an average human - perhaps between 9-12 feet - with long arms and legs, green eyes, and a dog-like face; almost like the god Anubis. They roared, causing the people to instinctively scream and scatter. "Monster!"

Due to everybody running, Velma was knocked into, making her glasses fall off. Shaggy (cowardly as ever) and the blonde girl immediately hid behind the bar, once Maggie broke a run to get back to Dia and Fae. Fred was on the run, until he had tripped over a stair, and fell the floor. Another one of the creatures managed to catch up to him, and grabbed him by the leg, and lifted him up, so he was upside down in its grip. "Fred!", Maggie shouted, interrupting her on her journey back to the others, to go help the leader, by grabbing his arm, and pulling, hoping that her effort would shake the creature off him. However, it was futile. If these were people in suits, they were super strong. Daphne was shielding the owner of the island, to the best of her ability, but finding themselves outnumbered, it was too late to stop the strange creatures from dragging him off. "Mr. Mondavarious!"

Maggie, in disbelief, pulled as hard as she could, but Fred wasn't budging. The dog-like thing that had him then released a green mist. "Maggie, save...", he said, just as that green mist traveled into the leader's airways, and disappeared into his body. "...Daphne", he was able to get out, before he lost consciousness in both the grips of Maggie, and the creature. With a roar, it lifted the unconscious Fred higher, which forced the female Rogers to lose her hold on him, allowing the creature to take its leave out of the lobby building, with a non-responsive Fred.

Another one came to take its place, and glared down at Maggie. "What are you?", she voiced; more to herself than the thing, towering over her. Once she starting crawling towards Dia and Fae, her leg was grabbed. The female Rogers wasn't one to easily show fear, but the fact that she was being pulled away from her 'best friends', that terrified her more. Her heart sped up, trying to muster as much strength as she can to crawl, and perhaps break its hold on her. She shook her leg, hoping to get it loose and kick it away, but the sheer strength of the creature continued to impress her. It was pulling her now, dragging Maggie across the floor, before it, too, released a green mist. Her breathing picked up, only having to quicken the process for it to enter her body, immediately knocking her out. "Mags!", Shaggy shouted, jumping out of his hiding, and watched helplessly, as his unconscious little sister was taken out of the building.

After a while of crawling around, Velma was able to find her glasses. Luckily, nobody stepped on them. By the time she was put them on, however, one of the creatures appeared before her. "Jinkies", she gasped in astonishment; her fight-or-flight instincts kicking in. But before she could break into a run, she was quickly grabbed, and picked up in its giant hand. Giving a yelp, she struggled, until it, too, unleashed the same green mist, which traveled into her airways, and disappeared into her body, causing the bespectacled girl to lose consciousness, as well.

Scooby was still hiding under the table, just as Daphne ran into the lobby room, and watched as her friends, as well as a few other people, get taken away. "Guys, come on!", she shouted to the rest of the gang, waving over at them, once the creatures set their sights on them. She ran towards the entrance of the building, hoping that they would follow her out. "Scooby-Doo, where are you!?", Shaggy shouted out, as he and the blonde stranger ran out, after Daphne. Right upon cue, Scooby didn't hesitate to heed his master's call.

Dia winced when she heard Scooby yelling about Monsters, moving to look over the back of the couch as Fae peaked over as well. The two of them watched Fred scold the bigger dog, as much as Dia wasn't to argue against what Fred was saying before the large monster appeared from the wisps.

"Fae!" Dia called out, despite the woman being right beside her, Fae had already fumbled her camera from her pockets and was watching the creature carefully before she saw it started to grab people. She watched as it had grabbed Fred.
"Fred!" Fae yelled as she moved to try and stand, she glanced to Dia as she tried to volt over the couch and promptly slammed into the back of it upside down, Fae would have normally made a quip but this was serious. She started to head over to Fred before Maggie got to him.

Fae heard Daphne call out, a chill flooded through her body and she moved to follow the sound before Maggie was grabbed. Fae skidded and stood on the spot, who would she help? Her sister or her best friend?
she was frozen between a mix of fear and guilt as she watched Maggie be pulled away, slipping down onto her knees as tears ebbed at the sides of her eyes.

Dia managed to pull herself up from the ground and noticed Velma getting grabbed, she swore under her breathe before she broke into a run towards her before the beast turned and walked off without even noticing her.
"Velma!" She called out before she skidded to a stop with a grumble as she glanced to Fae and helped her up onto her shoulders gently. "We'll get them." She said before she looked towards Daphne as she called out, she glanced back to Fae with a small smile, "Got anymore drones?"

"V...VB is back at... at the house." Fae managed to speak as she tried to stop herself crying again. "I have... A couple other drones, I snuck them in after Daphne did a once over of my luggage." She have a weak grin and a blush on her face. Dia clapped Fae's shoulder with her hand and gave a bigger grin.
"I knew you would. Can you call on them now?"
Fae blinked, "N...Now?" She asked as Dia nodded, motioning for her to follow as she ran after Daphne.

"You're such a mother." Fae said softly, getting a grin from Dia as she moved to pull out her tools and tried to find the controller for the two other drones. "I have them here, yeah." She looked to Daphne for a moment before she follow her close friend. Fae glanced back to the monsters before they headed towards the entrance of the building before she pulled out one of her other drones and threw it into the air.
This drone was a bit smaller than VB, VB obviously being her main drone. "X!" Dia seemed to gasp, remembering the small drone from some lighter times, "You still have him!"
"Why would I get rid of our- my boy?" She said before she looked to Daphne, "You said they wouldn't come in handy." She winked cheekily before she pulled up the screen for X and sent him forward quickly, the little flying robot just disappearing into the darkness in front of them with a quiet buzz.

Once they managed to quickly leave through the entrance of the hotel lobby, Daphne led them into some vegetation, where they could hide from the strange, dog-like humanoids. By the looks of it, the creatures were leaving; each one carrying an unconscious human, in their grasp. The group stayed low, watching them walk away from the building, and towards a dark section. Daphne glanced at Fae, next to her, spotting the drone her cousin had cleverly brought along. Typical Fae. Always so insistent. She shouldn't be scolding her, right now, while hiding from their pursuers. Besides, it would be useless, considering that her cousin always looked for an opportunity to use her gadgets. At this point, it was useless to argue.

"I have a sinking feeling these dudes aren't brainwashed cult members", Shaggy commented; a knot forming in his stomach, whilst poking his head out, alongside the blonde stranger. Daphne frowned, while watching the creatures slinking back into the darkness, with the unconscious students, in tow. "Then, what are they? And what do they want?", the red-head asked aloud.

Shaggy shook his head, and swallowed. After a moment of silence, once Fae released her drone, letting it follow the invaders. "W-We need to follow them", this caused Daphne to immediately look at him in disbelief and shock. Never did she imagine those words to tumble out of his mouth. "Initially, I would think 'getting out of here, and let them eat Fred and Velma' was a good plan, but...", he paused, not exactly registering nor believing himself. "They took Mags-ter...and Fred and Velma always figured out everything", this made Scooby whine in sadness. "Maggie kept us all together, even after we all split up".

Fae, for once, wasn't focused on Daphne as she looked back at her; she was focused on moving her Drone to follow the beasts into the darkness. She didn't even flinch when Dia gently put her hand on her shoulder, not moving her head to look towards her friend. Dia shot her head towards Shaggy as he started to speak.

Dia felt her free hand clench as Shaggy even dared to think about Velma getting eaten, and if they weren't hiding in the shadows she would have said something angry towards him; but she bit her tongue.
"We have to get them back." Fae suddenly cut through the silence, "We only just got back together, I haven't felt this happiness in ages." Her words full of fear but also hope, and stubbornness. "I'm not allowing us to even think to lose them."
Dia gave a small nod, sending a glare towards Shaggy for a second before she glanced to Fae again, "Anything from the drone?"

Fae slowly turned her attention back to her drone and her blood ran cold, "Something slammed it." She said with a bit of a scowl, "I must have moved it just a bit too close. I need to work on the sound muffling." Fae grumbled, she started to mentally beat herself up while Dia looked towards where the monsters went.
"I say we follow." Dia said suddenly, "At least until we get to where the drone is."

Sometimes, he hated his own cowardice. It often held him back from doing things that might help and satisfy others or benefit the gang's reputation. But now, the worst has come: It stopped him from preventing Maggie's abduction. That's not to say he didn't care about Fred or Velma, but he had thought, for a moment, of getting authority help, since he doubted that these creatures, whatever they are, were human. Their business was all about catching people in costumes, doing illegal activities. Something broadly supernatural was way out of their league.

As if she had read his mind, the blonde stranger took out her phone, and started to dial a number. "I'm calling for help. There has to be someone", she had paused, once Dia spoke up. A beeping sound went off on the phone, showing that there was no signal. "Oh, no. There's no signal out here", she said in disbelief. "No surprise", Daphne thought aloud. "We're on an island, after all". Calling for outside help wasn't an option, apparently. Sighing, the red head gripped the pyramid artifact in her hands. "We should wait for morning. We'll start looking at good clarity", she said. As much as Shaggy wanted to object, she was right. It was dark, and the moonlight was their only source.

Dia looked to Daphne as she spoke about going out in the morning, she was going to argue to go now, but as she looked outside she froze up and nodded slowly. "As much as I hate to say it, I have to agree." She said as she looked back to Daphne before looking to Shaggy and the blonde woman. She gave her a look over before she looked over to Fae as she seemed to stare off into the darkness. "We'll get your bot tomorrow, okay?" She said, moving to put a hand on Fae's shoulder as she didn't seem to move at the touch.

Fae stared into the darkness, as if trying to figure out how to get through there- or seeing if she could find her bot in the darkness. She moved quickly, pulling up her screen again and tapped on it.
Fae didn't speak as she moved around some panels on screen, all of which Dia couldn't really figure out what they were as she watched over her shoulder. Fae's sidebag buzzed as she reached in to grab two small metal spheres and rolled them towards the door and watched them roll off before two camera feeds appeared on the corner of the screen as another one seemed to be moving towards where they were.

B.V buzzed as it clambered through a broken window from all of he chaos, flying over to Daphne, giving a few beeps, before floating back over to Fae and settled on her palm as she reached out her hand. "Hey buddy." She spoke to her robot as if it was a beloved pet, "Thank you for everything earlier. I need you to do something else." She said as she closed his camera before opening up a command window and typed something in with her own hand. "The pods have gone to find your brother, he got smashed." She explained to the robot as Dia watched with a weak smile, she wished Maggie was here to see their friend back in their environment, "I need you my little friend," She set him up to fly around them again, "To beep if you get close to Maggie, Fred or Velma. As long as their tags don't get removed or damaged."
"Tags?" Dia asked with a tilt of her head, Fae grinned happily to her friend with a nod.
"Mhmm, remember those little tags I gave everyone last time we were all together? The ones that I said they needed to keep on them at all times, either to attach them to things they were every day or keep them in their shoes or pockets. B.V can track those, hell, even Daphne still keeps hers on her!" She turned to Daphne with a grin.

Aside from all the debris, and the suspenseful atmosphere, the outdoors were quite nice. The group was perched on sand, at the border of the beach; a few feet from the brick walkway that led to the hotel, and all the amusement destinations. With some hint of courage, Shaggy and Scooby had scoped out some large palm leaves, and brought them back to the women, who remained at their hiding spot. As Fae worked, Daphne had been fidgeting with the pyramid artifact in her hands, nervously looking around. She was normally the 'damsel-in-distress' in these kinds of situations, but the ones that performed the rescuing, were no longer present - the roles have been switched, therefore the red-head felt out of her element. However, even though a black belt gave her some leverage, she currently didn't know where to start. Fred normally had that part figured out, and Velma would always point the logistics on how to proceed. Daphne wasn't highly-intellectual, nor was she a leader.

'But I have to try', she nodded to herself. A buzzing sound cut in, and she looked up to see her cousin's drone, before it went back to its owner, who talked to it. The sight made her give a warm smile - like a sister proud of her sibling. Sometimes, Fae wasn't even worth a cousin, but more-so a sister. The very mentions of 'tags' actually had Daphne give a smirk, once Fae mentioned her. She lifted her foot, and tilted it to show a flat metallic disc imbedded in the underside of her pink pump-boot. Even fashion had its safety measures. "And I never took it off", she shook her head, with a smile. Though they had their down-days, in the past two years, Daphne, though she often found her gadgets to be unnecessary, at the wrong time, it occurred to her that none were taken for granted. That's why, after they have returned to the hotel, after the freak show at the haunted house (which broke her last tracker), she snuck back to her room, and took out the spare from within her luggage.

"Like, I have mine, too!", Shaggy piped up, once he sat down on a palm leaf, with his legs crossed. Giving a smile, a small metallic piece in the bottom row of his back teeth, was apparent, making the blonde female give a cheery giggle.

Fae's eyes slightly widened at her cousins response, to think she kept something of her making- even after dismissing it all those years ago. She breathed in to speak before Dia spoke up.
"Oh, you mean the chip I put in my necklace?" She asked as she pulled out a small cord that ended in a small locket. "I hope they're waterproof, I never take this necklace off." Dia chuckled before she sighed. She looked towards the horizon with a bit of a frown.

"Oh that's a smart place." Fae commented towards Shaggy, "And Scoob's I made sure to fit perfectly in his necklace so I hope he's not broken." She smiled towards the canine and moved to rub his head gently. "Shaggs, Do you know if... Maggie still has hers?" She asked as she let B.V go from her grip and simply held him in her hand, watching his little diagnostics screen flash with numbers and words.
"Come on buddy." Fae spoke to B.V quietly, "It's a bit of information for you to take." She whispered to the little machine in her hands, as if almost pleading for him to work properly, "And I know you're over-due for many upgrades, but you can do this for me. For Velma and Fred... For Maggie?"
As if the sentiment behind her words, especially towards the end, powered up the little drone bot; the diagnostics screen flashed twice and showed a small success sign before it started to float off her palm. "Thank you buddy. I promise I'll upgrade you as soon as I can." She said as B.V floated up before taking off again, darting off towards where the beasts disappeared off to.

Fae watched B.V disappear before she moved to sit on the floor and pull her legs up to her chest and hugged her legs, staring into space quietly.

Shaggy giggled, in response to the blonde stranger’s cheery laugh, before his attention was brought back to Fae, when she acknowledged him. “Like, all the time. In her hair; always using the same tie”, he said, with a frown. Norville ‘Shaggy’ Rogers - minus his cowardly tendencies - was, overall, a good sort, who carried a rather adorkable, airheaded swagger. Nothing malicious was expected from him; just… a good chap - like his sister.

“Sorry, guys. This is Mary-Jane”, his own bad, because he didn’t mean to be rude. Introductions were in-order, but they were gonna stick together. Almost like she totally forgot about their current situation, the long, blonde, and curly-haired hippyish girl flashed another grin, at the others.

“Hi”, she said, with a small wave. He wanted to be genuinely happy, about Mary-Jane, making it out with them, and introduce her to his friends - but Shaggy couldn’t entirely feel, that way. His energy must have been sensed, because it made Scooby whimper, and lie beside his owner, who watched Fae put her stuff aside, along with Daphne, who placed the pyramid artifact, on the ground.

Whether or not, it was his own fear, Shaggy slowly wrapped an arm around Fae - not in a seductive way - but in an attempt to comfort. “Like, we want to find her, too. We missed you guys”.

Dia gave a gentle wave to Mary-Jane as she was introduced, "I'm Dia." She said gently before she looked to Fae as she stayed silent. "The tech wiz is Fae. But she tends to shut down when she's not feeling the best."
She moved to check up on Daphne with a tilt of her head, wordlessly asking if she was okay. She knew the red-head was probably terrifyingly worried. She took a moment to look at the Artifact before she knelt on the ground to get a proper look, but hesitant to touch it.

Fae flinched at the touch of Shaggy, before she glanced over to him without moving her body before she looked away again. She wanted to speak, to say anything, but her body wouldn't let her. She shut her eyes to try and stop herself from crying, until her cousin placed the artifact on the ground. She hesitated before she pulled her torso from her legs and moved out to reach for it, pausing as she noticed Dia watching her with a worried look before she gave a small nod.
Fae moved to pick up the artifact and moved it around in her hands with confusion. She slid her fingers over the surface, to see if it was flat or if it had notches in it. She wondered what it was, what it was used for...

"Oh, I'm sorry", Mary Jane responded, with a sympathetic frown, to the girl, whom the male placed a comforting arm around, of which the blonde didn't feel the slightest bit of jealousy over. "Shaggy told me a lot about his sister - your friend. She appeared, and sounded, like a wonderful person", there was a slight dreamy tone in her voice, but overall soft. "We'll find her, and everyone, in the morning. They'll be alive, and well", the hippy girl said, with the intention to brighten Fae's spirit.

Shaggy felt Fae tense, and hesitated on retracting himself, if she was uncomfortable. He thought he could possibly help her.

Daphne was feeling a bit too down, on taking part in the introductions, as they sat on palm leaves, close to one another, in the dark, shrouded by vegetation, with the moon being their only surrounding-light. They needed a plan, so the red-head had to mentally distance herself, from the others' conversation. Looking over upon seeing her cousin pick up with the pyramid artifact, she sighed; Shaggy, looking over, upon hearing her speak.

"Velma said, it's called a 'Daemon Ritus'", she moved to pick up her hand-purse, and offer it to Fae.

"I don't know what that is, or what it means, but put it in here, for now. I don't know what those creatures were, but I won't take any chances, if they make off with it. I don't carry this, just to match my outfit", she said, with the intention of her words, lightening the other up, as well as herself. Better heads will come, in the morning.

Fae looked to Mary Jane and gave a faint smile as she apologized, before she looked over to her Cousin as she spoke up and moved to offer her purse. She looked to the Artifact before she took the bag gently and slipped it inside, slightly surprised of the size of the inside of the purse.

"I knew V would have probably read up about things like this." Dia said with a small smile, "She's pretty quick on the uptake of that sort of stuff. Always in her books." She said with a laugh. She moved to gently lean against Fae, getting a squeak from her companion, "This one is a book nerd too of course, but different books."
Fae looked to Dia and gave a weak smile to her friend before she sighed. "We'll find them." She told herself out loud, "They're going to be okay."

"It's funny", Daphne murmured, just as she adjusted herself to lay her entire body down on the sand. "For the first time, they're the damsels in distress - not me", she voiced her thoughts aloud, as she gazed up at the stars, while holding her purse tight against her stomach. First thing they were doing, at first light, was to locate Fae's scouts, and hopefully, find some clue to locate their missing friends. From there, they can figure out what was going on, with the resort, as they were asked by Mr. Mondavarious. Perhaps unmask (?) the kidnappers? Something was off about them, for sure. If it was indeed a human, in a costume, they couldn't be able to lift or drag a fully-grown adult. Animatronics, or some kind of scientific advancement?

That was Velma's territory. Maybe she'll have an idea...

Shaggy retracted himself from Fae, and adjusted himself to lay beside Scooby.
Mary-Jane, not too far away on following suit.

Fae gave a sigh at Daphne's words, giving a small nod. "We'll find them." She said quietly, "As long as they have their charms, we can track them. And hopefully BV will be back by sunrise." She said, mainly to herself as she planned in her head the ideas.
She hoped that whatever took the others didn't find BV and crush him, he was very important to her and he wasn't easy to fix and definitely not easy to replace. But he was her most silent drone, so hopefully he wouldn't give himself away.

"Should we head to our rooms for the night?" Dia asked, looking down to Fae before looking at Daphne, "You can stay with us if you need Daph, to ensure you're not alone for the night." She offered with a small smile, "It'll be warmer than staying out here I think. Safer too, less glass shards from the windows." She laughed, trying to lighten the mood a bit.

Dia’s suggestion to retreat indoors was met with a moment’s hesitation. The night air - though cool - felt like a blanket of shared experience over the small group, yet the practicality of warmth and safety was undeniable; the camaraderie, being a balm to the uncertainty that tonight brought.

“Perhaps you’re right", Daphne finally conceded, with a sigh, sitting up, and brushing the sand from her clothes. “It would be good to regroup and rest, before the chaos of morning", she stood, before offering a hand to help Fae up. “Let’s stay together, tonight. They'd want us to do that.”

Mary-Jane stood - her movements, slow and thoughtful - offered Dia her hands to get to her feet, while Shaggy, after reassuringly patting Scooby’s back, rose to join them. The sound of the ocean was a constant whisper behind them, as they made their way back to the resort, and to the motel.

The shattered glass Dia joked about, crunched under their feet upon entering. By the time they got to a room - the shared one, that Dia and Fae had, with Maggie - they settled in, but not without being grimly reminded of the female Rogers' kidnapping. They're going to find her, their friends; and unravel this mystery - restore peace, like they were expected to.

However, if tonight wasn't strange enough, tomorrow got weirder...

Because the mess, from the night before, somehow, disappeared, when Shaggy exited the room, that morning, to look for something to eat. Even the structure itself was repaired. The walls weren't busted; the windows weren't smashed. It was like it never happened. He poked his head back into the room, confused.

"Gang? You need to see this".

Fae wordlessly agreed to the idea of getting back inside and heading to sleep; if she could manage to get to sleep that was.
Dia smiled and took Mary-Janes hand to pull herself up, before she moved to rub Scooby's head with a soft smile. "You're doing great." She said softly to him with a chuckle.

Daphne seemed to lead the charge back inside, Dia frowning at the glass as they walked to their room and all seemed to bunker down for the night. Dia got to sleep easily, hopefully as well as everyone else- Apart from Fae, who didn't sleep until much later than the rest of the gang, fear and worry in her heart and mind.

Why did she have to open her eyes again at the sound of Shaggy's voice. Fae breathed out slowly as she opened her eyes, she was still in her sitting position she was in for the entire night. She pulled herself up out of bed and grumbled at the pain in her neck, moving out to follow Shaggy out of the room and blinked slightly. "What?" She asked with a small rasp in her voice.

Dia woke up at the same time as Shaggy poked his head in, moving to get up with a stretch before she draped a blanket around her and followed Fae out, looking around with a confused look. "Last night... happened, right?" She asked, looking back in her room; hoping to see Maggie asleep on the bed, but only saw Mary-Jane and Daphne, which reminded her that it in fact, had happened.
