At the mention of movie, Kiki flushes, remembering how she had passed out the night before. “Would you opposed to finishing Bullet Train? The movie from last night. It seemed good, but since you watched it last night, I’m okay with watching something else.” She asks, grabbing the trolley to transfer their food onto and ‘parking’ it by the table.
Nero

Nero chuckles. “I like your overindulgences.” They say, still excited to find out what this ‘event’ and ‘show’ that requires relatively fancy clothes. “But I look forward to dessert.” It doesn’t take long for their food to arrive and Nero happily eats their steak frites, wiggling in their seat.

”If you fall asleep on me again, I’m making you make breakfast in the morning,” Avery threatened, a smirk on his face.
Caden

Caden stole some of Nero’s meal in exchange for some of his bass. He ordered a couple more drinks for them while they ate. Conversation flowed easily between the two of them as they talked about nothing and everything.
As the meal concluded, Caden charged the meal to the room before he stood and offered Nero his arm. ”Let’s go my darling imp, or we’re going to miss the Broadway show,” Caden said, finally revealing to them their plans for the evening
Kiki flips Avery off, not able to find anything nearby to throw. “Someone ensured I got a good nights sleep, so I shouldn’t fall asleep tonight.” She declares with a huff.
“I’m going to eat those strawberries on my own.” Kimiko threatens under her breath. Turning her back to Avery so he wouldn’t see her smirk.
Nero

Nero’s eyes go wide along with a grin. “A Broadway show?” They ask, hopping from their chair and taking Caden’s arm. As they make their way out of the hotel, Nero notices the stares this time.
“Ich habe mich ausnahmsweise normal angezogen, warum starren mich alle an?”
I dressed normally for once, why is everyone staring?

”I heard that,” Avery said, loading the food onto the trolley with the dishes. He pushed the cart towards the elevator and wheeled it inside.
”You’re going to deprive me of the chocolate-covered strawberries that I made you? Mauvais goût, Kimiko,”

Caden glanced over at some of the people staring. They quickly looked away, and Caden smirked. He lifted Nero’s hand to his lips, kissed the back of it, and placed it back on his arm.
”Sie starren Sie an, weil Sie so attraktiv sind. Sie starren uns an, weil sie versuchen, uns zu verstehen.”
Nero looked like a porcelain figurine brought to life, with mysterious eyes that saw life for what it was. Pure but also wicked. Caden looked the opposite with his height and darker complexion. The shadow to Nero’s light, and yet he also turned the head of everyone in every room due to the commanding nature he naturally had. Caden looked important and held himself like he was of some sort of noble birth, but no one knew who he was. Everyone wanted to know who these two were.
They exited the hotel, the town car waiting. Caden kissed Nero's hand again, a smile on his lips this time as he did so.
"Wenn sie nur wüssten, wer du wirklich bist. Sie würden niemals so offen starren."
They stare at you because you are so attractive. They stare at us because they are trying to understand us.//If only they knew who you really are. They would never stare so openly.
Kiki shrugs, smirking still. ”Le chocolat est mauvais pour les chiens.” She reminds him as she follows him into the elevator.
“So really, I’m doing you a favor by eating them all.” She grins to herself.

Nero beams up at Caden as he talks, ignoring the stares now. “Sie sind auch sehr attraktiv.” They remind their mate, bumping his hip with their own. Humans are so fickle. They think to themselves as they exit the hotel. There are much more important things to worry about.
“Ich kann sie immer daran erinnern.” Nero replies to Caden with a quick flash of their demon eyes. Nero has no intention of revealing themselves, but the thought of scaring some nosy people is tempting.

”Mmhmm, I guess I’ll just have to find my own dessert then,” Avery said. He pushed the trolley out and rolled it over towards the living room.
Avery picked up the bottle of wine Kimiko picked and walked over to the beverage cart Caden had upstairs. He grabbed the cork screw and got to work opening the bottle of wine. One eye trained on the TV the other watched Kimiko.

The flash of demon eyes sparked something in Caden that others would be wary of. Part of Caden wanted to watch Nero unleash themselves on the people in the restaurant, another part wanted to keep those people and Nero safe.
”Du kannst mich später daran erinnern,” Caden compromised. He helped Nero into the car, sliding in after them. They pulled away from the hotel and travelled to the theatre.
Kiki starts laying out the food on the coffee table. “Well, dogs like peanut butter right?” She glances up to shoot Avery a smirk, watching him uncork the bottle of wine before she grabs the remote to turn on the movie.

Nero grins widely at Caden. “Ich kann dich jederzeit daran erinnern, mein kräftiger Drache.” They say, kissing his cheek before resting their head on his arm.
“So, what are we seeing tonight?” The ask, peering at his face from their perch.

Avery snorted. ”Do you know how long it takes to make anything decent with peanut butter?” Avery pours them two glasses of wine and hands one glass to Kimiko.
He sets the bottle on the table so they can help themselves throughout the movie.

Caden rested his cheek on Nero’s head, shutting his eyes and listening to their voice. The way their breathing shaped certain words to sound differently.
Kiki shrugs and harbors a guess. “Two hours?” She asks, not entirely sure. “Or I could just make you a peanut butter and jelly.” She teases before picking up her wine and tasting it.
“Alright, let’s see how well your cooking turned out this time.” She leans forward and grabs a spoonful of the soup, blow on it a little to cool it down before tasting it. Her eyes go wide as she hums contentedly. “So, I’m never cooking again.”

Nero smiles, amused by the title of it. “Did you choose it because I’m wicked?” They ask in a teasing tone before they also close their eyes. As overindulgent as Nero is, they also love the quiet moments like this with Caden.

Avery looked at Kimiko and shook his head in disbelief. It was more of an overnight task. At least for the dish Avery preferred to make.
He sipped his wine before setting the glass down to dish out his own food. His eyes drifted to watch Kimiko take her first bite. Avery knew he cooked well, but that didn’t mean everyone liked his food. When Kimiko passed her approval, he released a breath he didn’t know he was holding. Avery finished making his plate before joining Kimiko on the couch.
”But you’re still going to make me that sandwich later, right?”

Caden chuckled, rubbing his hand along Nero’s arm. He looked at the window, shifting his head back. ”I picked it for several reasons. One is that we have a private box, and two, it’s world-renowned. As for what it’s about, it’s a story about friendship and love. It’s about being more than what others think you to be.”
Kiki laughs, setting her food carefully in her lap before tucking her hair behind both ears. “Whatever you want.” She tells him, a little surprised in herself at being so willing. Her ears turn pink and she shifts to block Avery from seeing her pink cheeks. I really do like him, don’t I?
Nero

“Oh, so that’s what you meant earlier.” Nero says with a sly smirk as they nuzzle their face more into his arm. “It sounds like it’ll be interesting - and it’s all live, right? Performers on stage and everything?”

Avery watched her turn away from him and was tempted to turn her head back, but he let her be.
”Good. I’m looking forward to that sandwich,” Avery said. He focused on his meal, the chunks of rabbit melting in his mouth, and he sighed happily. Avery always loved how a good meal could turn anyone’s mood or bring a group of people together.
Caden

”Yes, everything is live. It’s quite the experience,” Caden informed Nero. They pulled up outside the Gershwin Theatre; the doors were open, and people were walking in. Caden checked his watch and smiled.
”Good, we still have about twenty minutes until the curtain. Ready?” Caden asked, looking at Nero.
Kiki shakes her head, wondering briefly if Avery actually means it. She finishes her first plate and vet the middle of the movie, she was almost done with her second. “I could eat like this everyday.” She mumbles to herself, saying her thoughts out loud as she focuses on the movie. It really is entertaining and kind of laughable that she fell asleep during it when there’s so much action and comedy involved. She sets her dishes down and cuddles into Avery’s side, resting her head on his shoulder.
Nero

“I can’t wait.” Nero says excitedly and nods in answer to Caden’s question, pulling away to kiss his lips briefly. “Is there going to be music?” They ask as they slide to exit the car onto the sidewalk.

Avery smiled to himself at Kimiko’s outspoken comment. He wouldn’t mind cooking for her every day, he finds himself thinking. Avery eats more than his share. He is just finishing his fourth bowl when Kimiko curls into his side.
Avery shifted, setting his dish aside, wrapped his arm around her, and pulled her in closer. ”No falling asleep,” he reminded her.
Caden

Caden returned Nero’s kiss before getting out of the car and helping them.
”Oh, yes. It’s a musical.” Caden led Nero into the building. There was a merchandise table set up already, plus a place to get drinks and food. People mingled around, sipping drinks and mingling. There were many people dressed like Nero and Caden, others less fancy, but the overall vibe was the same.
Kimiko lets Avery easily nuzzle her into his side and she smiles goofily, liking the almost immediate action he had taken. She fakes a big yawn. “I dunno, you’re awfully comfortable.” She wraps her arm around his torso and squeezes in a hug before settling more into him.
“You have my permission to flick my nose if I fall asleep.”
Nero

Nero’s eyes shine brightly at this thought. Live and with music - they hope they’re able to connect more with this kind of performance than they would with a movie. Nero’s eyes follow some of the drinks people are carrying, the green in them matching the green in the merchandise. “Let’s try that!” Nero whispers eagerly to Caden, pointing at one of the people carrying one.

Avery chuckled, feeling warmed by her touch. ”Maybe I won’t. More chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne for me,” Avery declared.
Caden

Caden led Nero to the line and ordered the drinks they requested, along with whatever they wanted. With a few minutes to spare, Caden led them into the theatre and up to their private box. It had a great view that over looked the stage from the right side. They would be able to see everything up here and then some.
Caden took his seat, relaxed, and sipped his drink while the lights in the theatre started to flash dimly, signaling for everyone to find their seats.
Kiki raises her head enough to shoot Avery a playful glare. “You wouldn’t.” Honestly, the woman might cry if he did - the chocolate tasted delicious and so did the strawberries this morning.
“I’ll kick you out of the bed if you do.” She lightly threatens, knowing that she won’t actually do that. He’s the only reason she actually slept last night.
Nero

Nero sets their drink down and goes to the edge of the balcony, taking everything in that they can. The stage’s aesthetic and design pulled Nero in and they bounce from foot to foot until the lights start flashing. Nero prances back to their seat by Caden, sipping their drink while wiggling in their chair.

Avery grinned, the movie playing in the background completely forgotten. ”I’d like to see you try. Maybe if you lifted more weights, you could move me,” he teased. Avery knew she wouldn’t kick him out. Maybe out of the bed and onto the floor, but then again, she had been wrapped around him pretty tightly this morning.
Caden

Caden chuckled and kissed Nero’s cheek. ”Enjoy the show, my little imp.”
The theatre went dark, and the stage lights cued up before the opening number started. Caden always loved the colour of the show. The Emerald City, the set decorations. Everything was well done and green.
Caden had seen the musical a handful of times, so aside from watching from time to time, Caden’s attention was on Nero, watching them take the show in.
“I’d like to see you try.” Kiki says in a deep voice with a bad American accent, mocking Avery with a grin. “Anyway, I’m not going to fall asleep so the strawberries are all mine.”
Nero

Nero is enthralled throughout the entire show, barely taking their eyes off of anything. They could feel a real connection to the green witch that everyone judged for being different. Some of the jokes, like Elphaba flipping her hair over her shoulder mocking Galinda, made Nero laugh. When it came to the end of the first act, Nero was back at the edge of the balcony watching with wide eyes.

Avery snorted and laughed at the terrible accent she tried to pull and shook his head at her. ”Fine fine, all the strawberries are yours, little fox.” He leaned in and kissed her nose rather than flicking it since she wasn’t sleeping.

The house lights came up, and Caden rested a hand on Nero’s back. ”It’s intermission now, my little imp. We have twenty minutes before the second act. Is there anything I can get for you?”
