Raised in poverty, Bruno grew to hate the environment his kingdom bred. Yet, in order to gain freedom from the chains of economy, Bruno would join the military and rise through the ranks until he managed to acquire a comfortable life with a decent sized home in a trade city. But the kingdom's war would never end and taxes continued to rise, such that he felt that his wealth was threatened. He worked towards getting transferred to the investigative unit where income was more certain, but still he was paranoid that he'd return to a life of squalor. Bruno's new position gave him access to classified information while also being one of the people in charge of interrogating spies and traitors. He'd know if they started putting pieces together that pointed at him, and then he could stop. It was the perfect crime, and he gained a luxurious life with a manor in the capitol city by selling info to the enemy. In a twist of fate, some info he had sold led to in old friend, and the only one he had, getting killed. After that, he became more reclusive, sloppier, and less vigilant of his pursuers. Bruno had fallen prey to his hubris and his greed. But, before he could be arrested, he suddenly vanished.
