Until Level 5, the thief saving throws are:
Death and Poison:13
Wands: 14
Paralysis and Petrification: 13
Breath Attacks: 16
Spells, Magic Rods, Magic Staves: 15
Save vs Magic: depends on your wisdom modifier.

you might get items that improve them before then though.

With 4d6 drop lowest you need to remove the lowest stat from the roll, so you end up with 3 rolls that are slightly better then they would be if you rolled blind. So looking at your rolls your stats are:

16, 16, 11, 12, 16, 12

which are still pretty awesome! Don't think I've ever seen a triple 16 rolled xD And you can take 2 off one stat and add 1 to another if you like. You can also put your numbers against whichever stat you want - they don't have to be in order.

do I simply go through the equipment with my 120 gold and get what I feel like, or is there a limit beyond my Gold? Also I don't see a place other than available weapons and armor to put equipment. Sorry if that's a lot, Mae lol. Been a week

Woops! I need to add the inventory sheet up. I thought it'd be easier to save the inventory in a second post when you add it up to the CS tab, save you scrolling through your sheet everytime your inventory changes, which might happen alot (and the sheet won't change as often really). Although, if people want to track their inventory somewhere else or customise the sheet, feel free!

With 16+ Strength you get 5 extra inventory slots on your packed items which is pretty nifty. So the limit would be on how much you can carry. I've put the movement speed assosciated with each slot next to it so you can see if adding an extra item will drop your movement.

Although I should make it clear - 90/30 is probably the average, so don't worry if you drop a movement speed class down. It's still pretty fast.

120 / 40 means out of combat you explore 120 feet, or 12 10 ft squares. In combat you'd have 40ft of movement. Same for 90/30, you can move 9 10 foot squares out of combat before a turn ends (assuming you're not doing something time consuming) or 30 ft in combat.

He is updated, but I don't know how to find skills and his AC. I hear OSE's AC is opposite to most modern D&D rules?

I'm lazy so we'll use the Ascending Armour Class Rules which is the same as 5e. So with leather armour you'll have an AC of 12.

Your open stuck doors is 4 in 6 because you're strong :D
Hear Noise/Listen at Door 2 in 6
Find Secret Doors 1 in 6

As a thief your skills at level 1 are:
Backstab: Get ++4 damage to attacking an unaware opponent from behind

Climb Surfaces: 87%
Find and Remove Traps 10%
Hide in Shadows 10%
Move Silently 20%
Open Locks 15%
Pick Pockets 20%

I've been thinking of how to proceed with character creation. You guys can pick individually what you prefer, makes no massive difference on my end :D

Option 1. I force you guys to make two characters back to back from scratch, which feels a bit mean :p - Rush
Option 2. I generate some pre-made characters you can pick from so you don't have to fill in the form saves each time. You can reroll the stats or tinker with the inventory as you see fit.
Option 3. I give you guys some super loyal retainers to tag along as your meat shields for a bit, and you can generate your second character when you've got an idea of what you'd like your second character to be.
Option 4. We can do the retainer hiring process proper, but you will have to pay them :D

How are we feeling about it?

Sweet! I'll generate a few loyal buckos tommorrow evening. They will, generally speaking, not be very smart or wise or possibly just really lazy, so these characters will defer to your judgement on challenges that come up. You can direct them and make requests of them, but if you mistreat them and they catch on, it might get back to the local town that you're a dangerous party to work with.

Also I get Castlevania vibes from this and it's pretty awesome.


That's the exact vibe I get from this adventure too. Makes me want to re-watch the animated series since I'm not very skilled at the game :p although Vampire Survivors just released a crossover for Castlevania which I'm working up to.

I'll be busy most of today but I'll be getting up my first character likely tomorrow, though cliche as it is could I make a whip using Fighter of sorts? I was toying with the idea of a guy who fancies himself a "legendary" monster hunter of sorts but is just a dude who uses a whip real good with a little bit of an ego problem.

Character 1's Stats: 10 Str, 13 Int, 14 Wis, 13 Dex, 11 Con, 9 Cha.

Character 2's Stats: 10 Str, 7 Int, 13 Wis, 11 Dex, 14 Con, 9 Cha.

Character 1's Gold: 80 gp
Character 2's Gold: 130 gp (wowzers ugly as a trog but rich as a prince.)

I'm going kinda hardcore with the rolls, so imma stick to my guns on this one. Think character 1 might be a disgruntled mage and character 2 a Knight.

Sorry for the delay @Dark Cloud! in my experience the bad statted characters are the ones who live forever...

Looking good so far! If you prefer to play them one at a time I can half control one outside of battle, or you can control both.

I've rolled up some pregens so just putting them in BBCode format now:
