Hello and thanks for your attention!
I'm new to RP and never been in one before. I found to this forum whilst searching the web for a place to share this idea. Now that i've got some attention and after reading some of the roleplays on the site I've gotten cold feet.
I'm thinking it's probably a bad idea to jump and be a GM before playing a character in an RP at least once. I have too many questions about the nature of this medium and some of them i feel could only be answered by earning experience.
Would you agree with that?
Here is one of the questions that are currently surging in my frontal lobe:
If a scene involves several characters who are played by human players who makes the decisions?
You can't possibly be allowed to make a decision for a character who is played by someone else can you? Obviously the answer is: you should if you want to write more than a sentence each time so the story could progress. But then what decisions are OK to make for someone else's character and what aren't OK? Are there any guidelines for this sort of conflict? Am i thinking about it all wrong?
