There is a city called Arom, on the edge of the sea, where all the worlds collide. The fabric of the universe is thin, allowing safe passageway between dimensions. As a result, every imaginable being can be found in the city, every race every species every vague idea thought of in the dark of the night. The people mostly interact peacefully, save for the everyday quarrels people have. There is no war, there is no hunger, and there is no drought. It is a paradise among paradises, free of all discrimination and hatred. A sanctuary for the outcasts, a place for all creation, everyone free to do as they please.

This is a silly little idea I had based off a story I wrote in one sitting. I like it best as a sandbox, with no major conflict, but I can add some if people so wish, if it’s not engaging enough as it is now.
Keep in mind please that Arom, the city, is based off Venice, and so the streets are replaced with channels and boats, but scooters, skateboards, bikes and other smaller transportation is possible.
Also, any species is possible due to the setting, but for it to work properly we’d need to keep it kind of realistic. Meaning, no overpowered species. But, I’ll elaborate that if and when I get to a character sheet.

Same as Naut. If it just a bunch of people walking around for a while then what do we do? Although, yeah sure.

Yeah, magic's allowed. :) And races other than human, and enchanted items and et cetera. My biggest hope is that everyone gets creative with it, as you say use the power of your imagination! So, instead of a classic vampire, lets say, its a reinvention of the old concept. Feeds off oils instead of blood or something.

As for a plot, I do have an idea where since Arom feeds into multiple universes, one such universe is letting evil into the city, creating a incresingly hostile enviroment. However, there is a way to stop these things from entering, but there cannot be any living one in the city already, so the rest either have to be killed or returned to the universe from where they came. This will allow characters to hunt these things, help with the ritual needed to close off the other universe, or perhaps work against the city, preventing the ritual from happening and allowing evil to take control of Arom.

But, this is just one idea. I'm open to any other suggestions, if there is still interest.
