"Il Ilah is the God of All the Universes, the God of All the Worlds. He created each world of the same love, and of different races that are destined to ruled each. In the world of Alma Torran, where once there's neither lands nor seas but floating planes, the planet was filled with tons of "intelligent life", of creatures indistinguishable by appearance, like mermaids, talking griffins, and dragon-bears, and almost at the bottom were the deemed human beings. Struggling to survive their everyday lives from escaping the eyes of other species and living in seclusion from others, the God saw how they paid for their hard works, and told them the reason why they were alive. Humans, while knowing how different they are from the other faunas who may predate and be eaten by them, will be the one to rule the whole Alma Torran and unify the entirety as one. And so Il Ilah gave them the "magic" from his seventy-two scepters, and gave the right for the humans to unite the world. But the magicians fall out from grace and exacted vengeance and not the nobility of their mission, thus creating a stray of chaos from the Orthodox of God who believed that magic is created for people to rule, and those who wanted to establish the "kingdom" that the God only knows.

And then there was a king named Solomon, who for years later, conquered the whole world with the help of his seventy-two households. But the seekers of the Orthodox—the now called Al Thamen—vowed to bring back their God to the world, with the help of the black rukhs, and recreate Alma Torran as what they visioned it to be. Solomon, with his great love for humanity and other creatures of the world Il Ilah created, made another world, the "New World", in which humans settled in search for a king candidate that should be par or be greater than Solomon himself, to rule like his regime in the old world of Alma Torran."

Scriptures: Book 31;
Verse 78-97
Flags of the New World

A century after Al Thamen was defeated, the world was separated into two factions: the Western Leam Empire and the Eastern Kou Empire—both of which have strong military and territorial influence in the shape of the world's current government. The Seven Seas Alliance was already abdicated due to Sindria's disloyalty to the treaty. Most of the nations from the league returned to their neutral state, struggling from the forces of Leam which is now in the process of expanding its territories.

The Kou Empire is a large militaristic nation in the east, led by Empress Shizuka Ren. The empire is currently on its rebuilding status after it engaged in the war last one hundred years. Although it managed to retain its conquered territories and reestablish the economy, it fell back a long distance from the Leam's dominance in all aspects. The Western Subjugation Army was abandoned, and was replaced by Eastern Squad of Protection.

Leam Empire, the Rising Lion of the West, is ruled by Emperor Augustus Caluades. In spite of Kou Empire's leaning for magic, the Leam is more concentrated to its science and people. They are known to start innovations for weapons for war and other inventions that helped to life's convenience. Through the years, after the SSA was no longer active, it's expanding its territories by the Subjugation Army of Leam. In their mainland, the Defense Army of Leam is stationed.

Cathargo is the land north of the Dark Continent.

Heliohapt is a kingdom ruled by King Amun Ra-Sha'an. This is a land of Medical Magicians. People are distinguished if they're having snakes around their necks, which proves of their royal blood dwelling inside their bodies. They commonly have fair skin and white hair.

Tribe of Imuchakk is a group of Northern people of the North Pole. Their region remained unexplored due to the fact of a very cold weather and only a few benefit for unifying the world. The people of this tribe are fond of hunting because of the abundance of Northern Sea Monsters in the area.

The Kingdom of Artemyra is the habitat of freedom-loving people. They are commonly dressed in wing-themed dresses and robes and most of them keep giant birds as pets.

The Religious Kingdom of Sasan is deemed to be a country of the devout. Men are not allowed to look in the eyes of women, and all their hairstyles and even clothing should be based on religious teachings.

Parthevia Country was an empire that once stood greatly but now fell. No one owns this country as of now.

Dark Continent, the home of the infamous Fanalis warriors. More to that, it has been speculated with a lot of mysteries since no one has really explored the parts of this lands. All the people know is that there is a town where the Fanalis resided deep and far from the world outside.
Plot

The Core of Al Thamen is alive. Everyone whose knowledge is beyond survive everyday life knows it. It is somewhat buried down deep a heart of an undiscovered King Candidate who may turn the tables of the current serenity the world has ever known. To counter that, Solomon decided to raise six dungeons whose djinns are probably not among the seventy-two warriors of his household. This six dungeons are of mystery, and no one knows what lies at the end of the maze, but a power the world has never seen. It takes six to defeat Al Thamen, that is what the magis of the current era of the New World knows.

But, can they?
Character Sheet

Household Vessel (Djinn):
Household Members:
Abilities:

* Race – A goi or a magician: that is how the races varied for the creatures in Magi. Gois are humans. Magicians are humans too, capable of wielding magic.
* Flag – Where your character belongs (specifically the Kingdom, not the faction where they belong)
* Appearance – Picture works, or even descriptions.
* Background – History and personality (if desired)
* Household Vessel (Djinn) – If your character has a household vessel, indicate the weapon he or she is using, and the name of the Djinn he owns.

* Household Members – Who are the members of the household?
* Abilities – Characters can have a mixture of these possible abilities.
  • Magoi Manipulation: Magoi is a rukhs collected in your body. Those are your spiritual energies needed to control magic, but by just simply using it as a goi is about a thing called magoi manipulation. Having this skill can lead to a lot of possibilities, such as these
    1. One such way is the ability to use the Magoi within one's body to counteract an opponent's Magoi, thus negating their ability using the hands.
    2. Another way is the ability to entrust one's Ki (Magoi) into a weapon (whether it be a sword, spear, shield, etc.,), thus making it strong enough to pierce something even normal physical attacks can't damage.
    3. Another method where a person has learned how to combine his Magoi Manipulation with the djinn's power, thus, leading to Djinn Equip.
    4. It can also be used as a form of medical diagnostic test as it allows the user to look inside someone by touching their veins and feeling the flow inside their body.
Although using this has known side effects. Even if you are a Magi who is beloved by the rukhs, if you use your magoi too much, you can get exhausted, excessive bleeding in eyes and mouth, be in a state of comatose, or it may shorten a person's life span. Worst case scenario: death.

  • Metal Vessel: You can first equip with your metal vessel, without even learning too much of magoi manipulation. You just have to let your magoi go to your weapon, and feel it as if it's a part of your body. At least, that's how it works. With the equipped metal vessel, you can cast spells derived from your own djinn. These spells are named in Arabic derivatives. Have your own creativity! It depends on your weapon anyway.

    * Example of spell casted by metal vessel

  • Djinn Equip: No more words, you have just been united with your Djinn.

  • Extreme Magic: This is when you used your Djinn Equip, and you perform a very strenuous magic that is very powerful than your usual spells.

    * Example of Extreme Magic

  • Intelligence, Agility, Physical Abilities: They varies, depending in your character's background and personality.

  • Borg: Only magicians (including Magis) have borgs, or a ball of rukh that serves as a defensive barrier. The more magoi you have, the stronger your borg is.

  • Elemental Magic: Each magician has a specific type of magic they can use, depending on their rukhs' nature. However, a magician can use all types of magic too, just with a little effort added. A combination of different kinds of magic is called Composite Magic. With higher frequency, Composite Magic becomes Aberrant Magic–even more chaotic.

I have several questions regarding magic, but I'll save those for when I'm less dead, so for now, a silly question: what criterion must one follow when naming their attacks? any database or something to hit up?

Nothing at all. Attacks vary from the weapon the character uses. If my character uses a sword, and for example if my Djinn is a Wind Djinn, I can imagine doing a slash and there comes a whirlpool, thus, naming my attack 'Nai-lah El-mout', because that's how the words Slash (derivation) and El-mout (doom) sounds when in Arabic. It doesn't have to be exactly the same word, but it can be a play of words, etc.

And also, if you're about to ask why it's in Arabic, I could say that the origin of Magi is about the myths of the Arabs, so assuming that the human language in Alma Torran is Arabic, then it is.

alright, thanks. So, Arab names when naming your attacks. Another question, that list of jin: I notice not all of them have any specification other than the name. Is that because they're not really mentioned that much in the anime? And if so, how do we know what Djin does what? Do different Djins confer different powers, even if aligned to the same element?

I should probably watch Magi...

Not to go against the GM or anything, but a Magician cannot be a King Vessel or a Household Member. Also, I'm very interested and am making a character for #52 Alloces.

Since I can't choose between Amon and Astaroth, I will be taking Amon instead of Astaroth due to his lack of other feats.

EDIT: Screw that, Astaroth, i will be taking Astaroth. It opens to better creativity instead of being spoon feed by Amon/Ali's spells.

So... #29 Astaroth.

@ Rex YES. and please don't think i'm lazing out to make things more specific. since they didn't yet show it to anime what the other djinns are, i'm giving all of you the freedom to choose. And oh, it is possible not to have a djinn at first, since we're talking about a role-play of something adventurous, action, and all. At the call of the moment. I'm about to put on a great profile for each Djinn. Djinns do different a lot of things, and some may vary, while some may be alike. I hope that answers.

@MasterJay Yes, I know that would be a case. But considering the case of the humans the last time in Alma Torran, where all humans are magicians, and they're using the power of Solomon by the divine staves (which I can say, the prototype of djinns), then that could be possible. I mean, after a hundred of years, everything could be possible. But not widely possible, so others might be able to do it, but others may not be able to do it. So, that's why. :D

YES GUYS. I'll be expecting CSs from all of you. :)

aight, cool beans. Maybe we should make the profiles for our djinn ourselves?

And, just another question. How broad is the correlation between a Djinn's element and what they can do? I'm seeing stuff like hunting, nobility, strength etc. So it doesn't have to pertain to that elemental power specifically, rather, be related in theme with that element?

@Rex: Based on Alma Torran's History, all of whose blood is human has the magician genes in them. People were once mistreated by other stronger creatures, predating them, eating them, torturing them. That is why Il Ilah granted the Divine Staves (par with the metal vessels in the New World) to the human so that they can rule the Old World, whatever the race is. But blinded by vengeance and hatred, the people from the Orthodox--an organization of magicians, used the staves to control the creatures that once hurt them, turning them into "monsters" they've never been before while holding their brains to work for them. Alas, Solomon, who was once a magician working for the church, realized what he was doing was wrong, so he decided to retrieve all the staves so that he can achieve world peace.

He had all 72 together, and ruled Alma Torran for the serenity. But Al Thamen--the Orthodox that once--decided a new way to bring back their Father, Il Ilah to the world to punish all those who didn't follow His orders, and against them, King Solomon sent all his households--the seventy-two people who hold the Divine Staves, transformed into Djinns and fight the medium of the God. They were defeated, however, and Solomon decided to use his magic to create a New World where the new king to replace him will be born, and be chosen by the magis.

That being said, Djinns are once humans also, so yes, they all have different skills, wisdom, and other things. I will specify some that were already said in the anime/manga, but for others, I guess you would want a little creativity with that, eh? :D

@Jay: Could you elaborate more on the background part wherein all of those abilities would be appropriate for his profile? I guess Marid needs that.
and oh my Shizuka doesn't even have a complete background yet. shame on me -.-

Okay, I'll add more to Marid's bio. I based my CS off of your character's, so I just thought you wanted a short and simple background. I'll get right on adding to that... and possibly writing another for his older sister.

Djinn's are not required for performing magic, correct? All humans have potential for it. And so, humans also, without Djinn, can cast various types of spells, affiliated with the element they are proficient in?

edit: the question still stands, but I'm on the second episode of Magi and holy shit that fight scene was pretty cool
