Perdo wastes: The world of Perdo is a massive one indeed, split into two very different though both harsh continents. One of these continents is Arieki, a very inhospitable place for humans, with rugged geography (strong volcanic activity), harsh climate (both tropic hot and arctic cold), extreme weather (poisonous rain and electrical storms) and bizarre alien fauna and flora. It is generally flat and is broken up only by the occasional volcanic fissure or a actual volcano. In the Arieki plains It is believed that the ground contains high concentrations of metallic minerals, which could increase the likelihood of air to ground lightning storms. Making powers that make use of this element more potent than normal. Arieki also possess the Arieki Abyss. Gravity here is slightly greater to that of earths.

The Arieki Abyss is a large subterranean subcontinent east of the Arieki Plains, directly adjacent to the seemingly bottomless chasm known as The Abyssal Zone. A large cavern on the western side of the area is home to Tantalus Base, the headquarters of "Penumbian," a hardy sentient race with rock like skin. The Dybukkar Garrison, a strategically important Penumbian military installation, is located in the northeast corner. Arieki Abyss also contains the collapsed ruins of "Tampeii," the skeletal remains of a Penumbian city lost to volcanic activity.

The other continent is called the Ashen Desert. This Ashen Desert is surrounded by active volcanoes, though fewer then its sister land mass, leaving the region covered with volcanic ash mixing with pale brown sand. Scattered through the sands are countless oasis, fought over by the nomadic tribes of the shifting dunes. These tribes are mostly made up of a race called the Atta, but have little in the ways of advancement, relying on desert magic. In the very center of the this harsh environment, is a massive mountain region containing many caverns, and a small city at it's top, housed over a large deposit of underground water. Acting as the cities only oases in the midst of a harsh world.

Khan, can you give me the rundown on what sort of structure it is I'm assaulting, and how I can interact with it effectively.

I'd rather not just wander right up to it, but I'm lacking a little in information and you know I'd hate to stand on your toes by messing with your building.

Aye,

Area Around it:
The structure looks mostly like the pic in the first post, only replace all that green with icy rocks and snow (the tower for the most part remains the same color). The region leading up to it is full of geysers that spew hot water periodically, and lots of hot water springs/pools about. The ice and rock is split apart in allot of area's by huge fissures almost miles deep--far enough down you eventually hit magma. This is in the far north, so the harsh environment is that of mostly arctic conditions. As for weather, mostly storm conditions almost constantly, made all the worse by blizzards that run through periodically. The ground starts to slop upward, as the structure itself is posed amidst a small mountain. Also, yes this is the Arieki continent, and the spot is a pretty harsh place, hence why they hid there from the empire in the first place.

(weather is kind of like the first call of Duty mission. Ice climb is optional)

The Tower:
The tower itself is split into there 'areas'. The first Area is the lower ground level, made up of five floors and possess the most foot traffic. The floors of the structure are designed in a kind of pyramid fashion. Where you have to reach the other end of the tower to get to the stairs leading up to the next level. The lower floor houses the hanger bay, motor pool, and storage chambers. The second area is made up of three floors and houses the main sleeping quarters, armory, and med-bay. The final Area is the upper tower segment, more or less the head of the tower, which houses the Main labs.

Defenses:
The toughest defense forces are those on the main floor, in the form of ether gun turrets, pill box's, patrols, and sentry shade drones. Second level is made up of mostly infantry forces but are by and large tougher then the ones on the main floor. Being these dudes are a cult of assassins it should come as no surprise the area around it and the tower itself possess more then a few motion detectors, thermal scanners, surveillance cams, and mines. (those these explode like those grenades the dark elves use in Thor Dark World.)

If anyone has any further questions feel free to ask. ^^

I thinking of a patrol coming across you guys once y'all get closer to the Tower. Depending on how you want to approach the Tower and such. Or we could always play it by the ear.

Well, the Clockwork Man is the sort to put trust in the hands of his Technomagic and the spider for assaulting the tower, so he will likely move immediately forwards cloaking them from surveillance and the like, but an encounter with actual people would give you some notice of the impending attack.

You could always post your patrol crossing our paths as we enter the general radius of the tower.

I vote we walk up the outside of the tower and skip the internal defenses. ;)

This is a good plan, it shall be done.

It also can be done, the Clockwork Man can magnetize himself.

Ooh, spectacular. And Arty can stick to stuff like Spider-man, so it looks like we've got it made.

I should have probably mentioned the lack of windows, but there are ventilation shafts, so we can pretend that's what that window was.

Just in case anyone's curious, I based my assumptions about nether and aether in that last post on them being alternate terms for Skallagrim's description of galdhr and seidhr. Which would be why Arty can't sense undead, because they'd be powered by galdhr (nether) while he's powered by seidhr (aether).

I'm also assuming that we're two floors below the Mystan elder (I think that's where Melon put us...) and that it's just undead guards on the next floor up. And that the elder isn't directly above us, since twenty meters is about sixty five feet.

Your probably the only other person here well versed in undeath. :P

There's undead guards in the hall on the floor clockman broke into and probably a few on the next one.

Yeah, I skipped that floor entirely, I don't know what sort of weird structure of building wouldn't have its stair cases all in one tower to the top, so I just skipped to the real fight.

Butchering your pointless foot soldiers is sort of boring.

And just assume he's shouting some stereo-typically 80's detective one liner like the Clockwork Man
