Well at this point, I'm just going to let everyone fill in the gaps of each role and move on from there. Seems like everyone has some great ideas for th powers so I"m sure you guys can handle this without my interference at this point lol
Can't wait to see your idea for a female Lust! I actually submitted an idea for a male Lust.
After discussing with Phantom, I love the idea of how he conceptualized Wrath and I don't mind giving it a shot if I can't be Lust.
Wrath is a kid who had been drugged most his life because his parents believed that he needed to calm down. Unknown to them the drug was highly toxic. The years of over medication took a toll on his body leaving him an angry and resentful husk of his former self. Something he considered sub-human. Very little is required to set him off. Do not underestimate this poker-faced middle school punk. His powers allows him to channel and mold his blood to immobilize and assassinate.
Weaknesses: Channelling so much blood would bound to result in blood loss and the main feedback he should experience is fatigue. However due to extensive nerve damage he is unable to feel pain and exhaustion.
To tie in with a sin such as Lust, she will be a very attractive female. But her power will be to infiltrate and beguile the mind of her opponent, and in their desperate and frustrating lust for her, she can get them to do as she pleases. When a person deeply lusts after something it gets inside of you and temptation riddles you. And my character would exploit that. So that everything else to that person is obsolete, it is only her and her wishes that would satisfy her. However, as lust is blind to consequences, she has the capability to get in to deep, and she will lust for the power and control she has when manipulating someone, and with no measure of self-control on that aspect has the potential to go too far and form a strong lust for the person she controls, if remained locked on their desires for too long and her power will rebound onto her.
So basically for this lust, she can manipulate people by manipulating their lust for whatever it is they desire. However, if she uses this too much, she'll end up lusting for the person she controls. Alright, ties into the sine itself pretty well and has a neat and good drawback.
So, to sum up the current situation. Sloth was already off the table, so we had envy, lust, wrath, gluttony, and pride applied for, and we still need a greed if I'm not mistaken, right?
No CS? I don't think I mentioned there being no CS or anything like that, might've been a miscommunication on my part.
There will be a CS for everyone to fill out, but it's not gonna be an extensively large CS or anything like that. Just a basic sheet so we know what the characters look like, name, age, gender, ability summary, maybe personality summary, and the last one is a big MAYBE, how they joined the sinners.
Also, seeing as we all that's left is greed, I'm gonna ask everyone this to establish the next bit. Do we want to have the RP take place before we get the powers, and have that come as a development? Or do we want to start off with the powers? Or maybe start off the RP at the scene where we'd get the powers?
>.< And I thought you were on something revolutionary here. For me at least...
Yeah I can do a cs after class. Trying to sleep soon.
I am fine with either method. Will need to think how he got his powers. xD
And joining the Sinners. Now that is an interesting problem in itself. Who were the founding members and how well known are they? Recruitment methods...?
Well we all get our powers the same way, we all are in the building when the black gas cloud is released and gives everyone their abilities or just kills them.
The Sinners are a new gang that recently formed with these 7 characters as the first members. we're all gonna be below 25 (Was thinking teen gang violence would be the most fitting for this setting) so all of our characters are part of the gang from the start. Whether they're friends or just people with the same goal of becoming formidable and feared gangsters, it is focused on these 7 new faces getting powers and what they do as this new gang made up of power users.
If you start too early in a story, then you run the risk of things getting a little boring or people not posting etc (not saying this will happen) and things can get rushed waiting for drama. Perhaps just before the characters getting their powers? It would be interesting to see each character discovering their powers and the flaws that come with them, the struggle to control power which in itself is a vice.
Hmmm, getting a bit excited now. Working around with a character that uses the title of 'Pride' is quite a fun thing. That and not being completely limited in design of the character due to the powers is reaaaally soothing. I'd love to see how all the interaction plays out in the end. It's such an exciting thing to look forward to. I can probably put up a CS as soon as tomorrow ( which is within 24 hours ) depending on the arrival of our Greed. c:
I'd like to take Greed, if I may. I'd like a bit of clarification, though. What was the final word on Envy's power? I'm intrigued by the suggested dimensional storage-esque power for Greed, but I'm also unsure which ability Poly decided to stick with and I didn't want to make any assumptions.
Well I know for sure that poly isn't using the dimensional storage ability since that's greed and he's going for envy, so if you want to stick with that I'm pretty sure that's available.
And if there are no objections, then I think an OOC is in order. I'll have that up probably tomorrow, but maybe tonight, and I'll link it here when I'm finished.
