I have a hankering for hosting a Persona themed game. I have a plot thought out and most of the mechanics worked out. The only thing I need is a group of people who would be interested in joining me. The basic idea of this world is everyone will be a character going to the same college where a series of bazaar murders has begun to terrorize the school and city.

The additional fact is that there will be a large Paranormal/Fantasy world that will be tied into the murders that our characters will be able to explore. Through that exploration we will discover a connection between the murders and the world we have found. The way we will be defend ourselves against the dangers of this new world is through things called Personas. A persona is a physical embodiment of a persons will. They grant power and abilities to their host making them stronger and able to survive in the new world.

The main genres of this role play are as followed

Mystery / Adventure / Thriller / Paranormal

I did have a character that I used for a previous Persona RP I never really got to do the great stuff with I had planned for him.

One question is how loose will there be with comedy stuff, like is this more Persona 3 or Persona 4?

Mmmm I am hoping to go more realistic characters so I would say a little bit less on the Comedy more dark humor perhaps. The whole dating and upping S Links is not something we will deal with.

Well of course not that'd take forever, but truthfully I was kind of hoping for a bit looser fun from time to time. It was part of why I loved Persona 4 so much.

I mean really if people can't have cross-dressing beauty contests? Why bother?

haha a fair point. I think my reply wasn't detailed enough. I am not saying I am opposed to there being a comedy theme or whatever. I guess I just figured comedy online mostly means nothing be Bearly funny puns....GET IT!

I am perfectly happy with any theme the team who joins this role play decides on. Just don't see a character seeing the opening murder scene in persona 4 and saying "Guess she decided to hang around town for a few more days."

Yeah, obviously being serious when the tone calls for it is important. I couldn't bear the thought of anything else...

I was talking about more the fact that in Persona 3 there wasn't really many moments where they let the characters loosen up, the 'babe hunt' scene sure but that was kind of it off the top of my head. Persona 4 really let the characters have moments where they could kick back and show a different side. Its really what made them shine the most.

Keep the tone real and serious when it matters, but allow for having fun with the characters now and again.
