I'd like to join, I've been searching for a well set up Yugioh RP for a while now. All I'm curious about is how exactly duels will be run. Anyway, here's my CS (I'll be making changes/tweaks to this every now and then).
Name: Lars Karsen
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Personality: Lars can be a stern and harsh individual when it comes to dealing with individuals and problems, and spares no hurtful remark or action when he has decided that someone needs to be humiliated to atone for a wrong he feels they have done. He is decisive and willful enough to use whatever means he has at his disposal to deal with something he has perceived to be in need settling, like this sentence which more or less repeats what I already said.
Despite this stern way of dealing with things, he isn't above a joke or sarcastic remark, and can be particularly easy going and somewhat witty when he isn't busy trying to crush something. Steelswarm Scout is partially responsible for this, as its happy attitude has managed to rub off on Lars after frequent interaction. There are periods of melancholy within his behavior however, leading to a more quiet and irascible person.
Brief Bio: Lars and his family were forced to move to the poorer sections of Anima City after they went bankrupt because of a slew of monetary issues. In their new place of living, they were forced to endure a period of ridicule from their new neighbors for being formerly rich. Rather than stand by and continue to turn the other cheek, Lars took it upon himself to sculpt a reputation for himself, one that would make people more reluctant to even look at him funny. Obviously, he did this through dueling, the primary way nowadays to show power, skill, and pretty much any other traits you wanted to.
First beginning his dueling career with a dragon deck, Lars made examples of the people and groups he'd challenge (or vice versa), humiliating them and later subjecting them through further shame by forcing them to hand over their decks (and anything else Lars would ask for). Eventually he replaced his dragon deck for that of one built around the Steelswarm Archetype, as these were cards whose lore stated them as fearsome and powerful destroyers, something Lars admired and felt suited him well.
Upon creating and using his new Steelswarm Deck, the monster known as Steelswarm Scout revealed itself to him. It told Lars of how much it enjoyed watching him command its "family" to crush his enemies and then later requiring them to "pay tribute". Lars thought he was going a bit crazy, but quickly discarded this idea when he found about the phenomenon known as "Spirit Partners". He got along well enough with the little fiend and enjoyed the company it gave him in a place where he otherwise had no actual friends, just people who stuck with him for safety.
Lars did eventually make some friends however. Two, named Jason and Aubrean. He met them in an underground tournament of sorts, and while they were initially afraid he'd shame them once he defeated them, they were relieved to find he would not be doing such a thing considering he had never seen or known them as "bad" people. Besides, there was a time where Lars unknowingly helped them out by running the troublemaker in their part of residence out of town. Becoming friends, they went on to duel at other tournaments for different reasons each time, even just for fun. It was... Pleasant, and one of the best times of Lars' "new" life. Unfortunately, there did come a tragic accident for his two friends, coming in the form of a car accident. It was crushing, obviously, but Lars decided to honor them one final time by attending the upcoming tournament (through which he'd also lay them to rest fully in his soul). Scout was thrilled, but asked if there was another reason for attending the tournament other than just honoring his friends. There was, and that was maybe winning it to get the prize money which he and his family would then use to try and move on to a better life.
Deck Type: "Steelswarm" is the primary archetype Lars uses in his duels. However, he is known to switch to a different deck on a whim, this one built on the "Archfiend" Archetype.
Key Card: Within the Steelswarm Deck: "Steelswarm Caucustag" and "Steelswarm Hercules".
Known Cards: Evilswarm Castor, Steelswarm Girastag, Steelswarm Cell, Abyss of Infestation
Spirit Partner: Steelswarm Scout is a curious and childlike little fiend, so it is not uncommon for Lars to find him messing around with random things or hear him talk and rant about all the different things he sees. Living up to his name, Scout is stealthy and great at spying on others. Additionally, he helps Lars find people... and misplaced items. Scout occasionally annoys Lars, but the duelist still cares for the little fiend, seeing him as a kind of little brother. The monster has often times been Lars' only company and friend, so it isn't hard to figure out why.
Being a "lesser" Steelswarm monster, Scout tends to talk about the power of his other family members and encourages Lars to command them and crush his enemies. He often gets riled up during duels, cheering and spitting out comments and boasts in Lars' place. Scout also often calls the Evilswarm monsters an extended family, which makes sense seeing as how the Evilswarms are a product of the Iswarm virus, an infection originating from the Steelswarms themselves.

My Favorite Villain: Bakura
1. Abyss of Infestation
Card Type: Field Spell
Card Effect: Face up "Iswarm" monsters you control gain 600 attack and send the top card of your opponent's deck to the graveyard each time they inflict battle damage. "Evilswarm" monsters are also counted as "Steelswarm" monsters on the field or in the graveyard, and you pay only half the cost to use a "Steelswarm" monsters effect (if needed).
Card Image: The Iswarm Crest burns brightly upon a desolated land as groups of Evilswarm Kerykeions cast magic from their staffs into the darkness of an opening abyss. A swarm of Steelswarm Cells and Callers flies out from this crevice, and a few Steelswarm Girastags and Moths can be seen leaping from the darkness into the air or simply climbing out of the Abyss.
2. Infiltration of the Scout
Card Type: Equip Spell Card
Card Effect: Equip to one "Steelswarm Scout" you control and give control of it to your opponent. It cannot be used for a tribute or synchro summon. While the "Steelswarm Scout" is on your opponent's side of the field, reveal the top card of their deck. If it is a monster, send it to the grave and inflict damage equal to the monster's level x100.
Image: "Infiltration of the Scout" shows a Steelswarm Scout monster peeking over a cliff as it waits for the chance to strike an incoming flock of Gusto birds.
3. Infested!
Card Type: Counter Trap Card
Card Effect: When an "Iswarm" monster you control is destroyed by card effect or battle, place it in your opponent's Spell/Trap card zone instead of sending it to the grave. If destroyed by battle, your opponent must discard one card or they take damage equal to the "Iswarm" monster's level x300. If destroyed by card effect, your opponent cannot play or set Spell/Trap cards until the "Iswarm" monster leaves the field. Send the "Iswarm" monster on their side of the field to the grave on the end phase of the third turn since this card was activated and take damage equal to the monster's level x300.
Image: "Infested!" shows a horde of Steelswarm Cells attacking a group of Gishkis from behind, destroying their treasures and resources at the same time.
4. Steelswarm Egg Cluster
Card Type: Trap Card
Card Effect: Tribute one face-up "Steelswarm" monster and take damage equal to half its attack. Special summon two "Steelswarm Egg Tokens" (Lvl. 1 Atk: 0/Def:1500) in face-up defense position. These tokens cannot be used for a tribute summon unless it is for the summon of a "Steelswarm" monster.
5. Bodily Infestation
Card Type: Trap Card
Card Effect: Tribute one "Iswarm" monster you control and equip this card to one monster your opponent controls. It cannot attack or use its effect, and on the second turn after this card is equipped, destroy it and take damage equal to half its attack. Special summon one "Iswarm" monster from your deck whose level is equal to or lower than the monster destroyed by this card's effect. It cannot attack this turn.
Image: "Bodily Infestation" depicts a dying Caucustag expending the last of its energy to release a swarm of mist like insects into the body of a Gishki ritual monster in front of it. The Gishki monster seems to be writhing in pain as its body forms glowing "cracks".
6. Infestation Return
Card Type: Continuous Spell
Card Effect: You can only activate this card if a Steelswarm Scout is in your graveyard. While a Steelswarm Scout is in your graveyard, before your draw phase you can choose one "Iswarm" or "Infestation" card that is removed from play or in your graveyard and add it to your hand. you cannot conduct your normal draw phase this turn.
Card Image: A group of Steelswarm Scouts led by an Evilswarm Kerykeion fly through a dark abyss towards a fallen Steelswarm Caucustag. In the distance, there is the faint glow of the Steelswarm crest and fading red eyes.
