Hey there so I just wanted to see if there were any darksoul fans here that play on Xbox 360, or final fantasy fans.
so I have darksouls 1 & 2 on 360 as well as final fantasy lightning returns, and I was wondering what your favorite set ups are for you characters on darksouls, or your garb set ups in final fantasy. Also if you would like to play over Xbox at all just let me know.

I play Dark Souls 1 on the PS3, if that's anywhere near close enough to matter. ._.

In terms of setups (for Dark Souls), are you talking about equipment, stats, or both?

Yeah pretty much, I mean darksouls 1 I've beaten near 12 times, and have multiple NG+ but I haven't played in a long time, but pvp on dark souls 2 is pretty awesome.

I have veen hearing nothing but awful things about the new FF spin off, whereas Dark Souls seems to be quite revered. Take that how you will.

Pretty much everything I've heard and seen of Dark Souls 2 is actually worse than the first-the pvp especially.

For FF-I myself don't like turn-based games, or pretty much any FF game even besides that. So, eh.

Okay so first of, the new final fantasy is good, considering game play, people dislike it, and say its awful because it brings in religion, the story is chopped up because you can go to later areas so it acts like you're that far in the story, and lightning contradicts her emotions alot, but playing 13 & 13-2 means you should understand most.
Other then that it is a fun game in many aspects, and very much worth a rent.
Now as whoever said darksouls 2 is awful, is really stupid, and doesn't know what a good game is, they probably rage quitted, and it made em hate it.
its harder then 1, better armor, weapons, bosses, and a more fluid and stable connection on pvp, and co-op play.

As for 2-a HUGE number of people are saying it's crap compared to the first. A lot of people have just as bad or LESS stable connections, the pvp is terribly unbalanced, soul memory is killing co-op, poise is utterly screwy, the weapons barely vary in use aside from damage, and the 'difficulty' is as often synthetic difficulty as actual challenge like the first. Even the people who defend the mechanics aspect religiously admit that the story is junk compared to its predecessors.
After that last post, though, I'm not going to continue in this conversation; you're apparently rather hostile about it, and I'm not going to hang around that. I won't be back in this thread.

whoa, someone played a sequel to FF13? That's shocking..... I've been an FF fan since the *actual* beginning, but I haven't touched the series since that abortion came out.

DkS2 will get hate for now, because DkS was just that good -- but it's extremely solid. Lived up to the original in almost every way, with the only weaknesses being ascetic. The covenants are interesting and fun (Forced-invasions are new and cool), the story is solid, the characters and bosses are great..... Easily goes on the same shelf as Dark Souls.

Well I'm sorry Nevis I wasn't trying to be hostile, I apologize for coming off as such, I just really enjoy darksouls 2 so its kinda hard for me to think, people say bad about it? I've heard nothing but good things, but I guess we look in different places.
As for final fantasy, I've played since 4 and I really like pretty much all of em, I still liked 13 idk why but I did, I guess it felt enough for me haha, but I like playing a game through before saying yay or nay about it, except call of duty, just no to that .-.

That was a pleasant turn-around.

I've been looking all over the web about it, and the discussions are about 50-50 (at best for liking it) religiously defensive or rather harsh about Dark 2 in most places. I, myself, dislike almost every change they've implemented-including the patches. I do note that I have very high standards with video games compared to most people; I only own a handful now.
