also probably when opposing the universe, fixed numbers should be set, probably a d6 + modifiers vs that number. I don't know, I kind of feel we should just role-play this according to the OVA rulebook

Anyone have a problem with using the two? If it lasts that long, I'm fine with having one idea lead into the other. (or having them overlap. whichever.)

I'm still going to put up info for the F.S.N, so not a whole lot is changing. (information on the Babel Rook scenario will become available when it becomes relevant)

Also, I had to go download the damn OVA Rulebook to get a good look at it. I'll post later letting ya'll know how I feel about using it.

Alright, from a brief review it seems that the OVA Combat Rules will streamline combat to a degree. Minor changes would be the Modifiers in deciding bonus die rolls. As there are no Weakness Modifiers or equivocal stat on the Character Sheet, negative and positive Modifiers will be added at my discretion; rather than being based on any particular flaw or strength of your character. (so it'll be entirely situational, pretty much.)

Anyway, Sathanas, thanks for the suggestion.

I may make changes to what I just said, after reading a bit more and learning the rules with more familiarity. Most likely we're just going to use a bastardized version of these combat rules. *shrugs*

Alright, the dice have been done away with for now (for you, anyway). Stats will continue to exist as a measure of your Character's strengths and weaknesses. Everyone needs to complete/submit a character sheet before the In-Character section goes up.

I'd also like to take this time to get input from you guys, concerning how we should start the RP. Any suggestions or ideas are appreciated. I'll be posting a few of my own in the near future. Also going to make another Character.

F.S.N Information: Founded nearly fifty years ago, the Fighting School Network exists as a way to gauge the combat potential of students. Since its induction, the F.S.N has become a worldwide media powerhouse; raking in billions of dollars in sponsorships, pay-per-view events and merchandising. Participants in the F.S.N syndicated match brackets are given an accessory item during their first year of high school, something tailored to their personal preferences (nothing that could be weaponized). This item stays with them through the entirety of their school career and it is through this that they are measured by their foes and the world. Each accessory has a smooth gem inserted into it, that begins as a dark gray color; denoting that the wearer is E-Rank. Upon winning battles and earning Fight Points, the Character can advance their Rank and become qualified for higher level bouts.

Fight Notices are given to contenders via text message that includes the location and scheduled time of the fight, as well as basic information on their opponent. Most fights will have a few spectators, though C-Rank fights and above are almost always televised and gather a large crowd. Bets can be placed on fights, through the F.S.N Vice Chamber, allowing Characters to put up money or items on the combatant they believe will win. Announcers and Referees are known to appear at every fight, no matter how small, even if the bout isn't going to be a large event.

Edit: The system for stats and the like is being completely reworked. This will entail several changes for pre-existing characters and their information. It may take a couple of days to achieve functionality. So, please, stick with me. This new system should correct several errors of logic in statistic functions, while creating a role playing environment focused completely on the narrative. Most of the stats will be based on your character's in character performance during the first part of the thread.

Dice rolls are making a comeback, but, thankfully you guys won't be messing with them; as it will be purely on my end. This will ensure combat is fair and devoid of meta or power gaming. Unfortunately, this also involves rolling everyone back to level one and making all characters freshmen at East Bridge City High, to ensure that there is a feeling of progression. Skills are being revamped as well.

If these changes sounds unsavory, please make your opinion known so I can figure out a way to make you (and myself) happy with the outcome of the upcoming changes.

I apologize for being so scatter brained about all of this, but if you can muster the patience to stick around I'd really appreciate it.

Core Ability: Soul Manipulation: Ezekial has the uncanny ability to observe and attack the souls of others directly this means that his attacks would mostly ignore unspecialized armor, since the attack would be riding on the plane that the soul resides. However, the ability leaves him without armor protection as well, which is why he prefers not to bother with it most of the time.. This also allows him to weaponize his aura to the point where it could be visible to others who don't share his talent. As an added bonus, he can kill ghosts.
Weapon: Nothing but his own fists and aura. (could that change during the RP?)
Appearance: Ezekial seems just about as slightly-better-than-average as anyone could get. With slightly-higher-than-average height, slightly-larger-than-average build, even a slightly better than average house, he seems like just another slightly-more-fit-than-average guy. He wears Faded blue jeans, black sneakers, a black cotton jacket, and a white T-shirt. There are a few defining qualities that defines him as a main character, His silvery grey hair for instance. It makes him look much older than he actually is. His red eyes make him look like there's some sort of monster inside of him, and you never see his palms. He always covers them with fingerless gloves, even when its way too hot out.
History: Ezekial has been moving from home to home all his life with his only known living relative, his father. This man, who people only know as Faust, never liked to stay in one place for too long. Nobody evers sees much of his father either. Hos neighbors almost never see him come home from work, go grocery shopping, or even go to PTA meetings! (Then again, who bothers going to PTA meetings anyway?)

Despite this, Ezekial seemed to be allowed to live life normally. He went to school, hung out with friends, and raised his stats just like any other teen. Recently, he and his father have moved here, of all places. What could Mr. Faust possibly need to here, and what kind of crazy life would Ezekial be leading here?

Class: Striker Witch

An (literally!) unholy union between the martial and arcane arts, a Striker Witch specializes in overwhelming opponents in melee combat through physical attacks and magic buffs and area spells. This class maintains the edge of being able to dominate other classes in close while maintaining the options a traditional spellcaster has available to them with the added benefit of a variety of elemental effects with which to do damage, although is not quite as strong as a Warrior and suffers from lack of range, unlike a traditional Mage. While strong physically, a Striker Witch has less defensive potential, especially against energy attacks.

Core Ability: Demonic Pact

Through a forbidden pact with a demon, Bloody Mary is able to augment her own physical and magical abilities through transformation. Bloody Mary is able to gradually become part devil to aid her in combat, although the transformation takes time. She is able to grow wings to quickly traverse the battlefield and maintain flight (enables flight), a tail to assist in grappling (+1 to scenarios involving grappling, extra free limb when pinned), clawed hands and feet that increase her damage(+1 to melee), sharp teeth to enhance her bite (+1 to biting attacks), and horns to protect her head and add a small reduction in magical damage (+1 to cranial based melee defense, +1 to magic defense of any type). Each transformation must be completed separately and follows a spoken incantation. The incantation can be spoken while mobile, but must not be interrupted. The transformation itself will immobilize her for a few seconds while it takes place (Cannot attack in same turn as transformation). These transformations will gradually increase her resistance to Fire and Dark type attacks of any kind up to 50%, but will also make her more susceptible to light attacks up to 50% at the same rate (every transformation adjusts by 10%).

Weapon: Her own body. Can be enhanced through different gauntlets, greaves, gloves, and guards.

[center]Lissamarie is a tough and toned little girl, coming in at 5'5" and 125lbs. A little unwomanly, her frame is athletic and muscular. Her hair is raven black in color with hints of magenta at the roots or in tight streaks through her shoulder length hairstyle. Her skin is a pale, almost grey color, as if she herself were a walking corpse, and which contrasts with her striking violet eyes. Her thin lips are normally set in a tight or absent frown along her round face. Lissamarie can commonly be found dressed to the nines in her favorite color: black. Black clothes, black nails, black lipstick, black eyeliner, black everything. As far as clothing itself goes, she dresses like a punk. You wouldn't catch her dead in a skirt (or anything that gives a glimpse of her legs for that matter), heavy boots, graphic tees or corsets or anything of that nature, and normally a layering garment such as a hooded sweatshirt, jacket, or robe.

History: Bloody Mary, Queen of the Arcane... or so she would have you believe. Lissamarie Angelica Hawethorne comes from a family of magic specialists, sole daughter to a Summon Knight and a Magical Girl. It was actually a family tradition for the women in her family to become Magical Girls, but the rebellious Lissamarie rejects these social norms! She formed a contract with a demon and started her winding, evil path of the Queen of the Arcane! Bloody Mary! ... Actually, her parents wouldn't let her change class from a Nobody until they felt she was responsible enough to make a life decision at such a young age i.e. graduating middle school and Lissamarie chose to be a Striker Witch out of spite, adding to the fact that no one there would remember her as a Nobody. But don't tell anyone that.
