Simon panted lightly as he had finally reached the top of the seemingly never ending stairs. He had in fact done this many times before, but this was the first time that he had done so without stopping or passing out from exhaustion. Slowly, the young man turned around and looked over Death City. It was quite the view, and he always turned around to look at it ever since he had first walked up the stairs with the aid of his sister. He remembered it all so vividly and a warm smile was brought to his face. Just as the memories were flooding his brain, a soft wind picked up and moved Simon's hair as well as his beige jacket. People had called his crazy for wearing such a thing in the middle of the desert, but he was completely fine with it, and had little to no problems with the heat. When the memories finally subsided, Simon turned around slowly and faced the school that he would be attending.
Many weapons and meisters were already out on the courtyard talking to one another and forming partnerships. It was easy to find out who was who, as everyone had either a "Weapon" or "Meister" tag on them. Some of the weapons were showing off their weapon forms to the others, receiving looks of wonderment from the people around them. Simon wasn't really one to show off his weapon form, as it was very plain, and he saw no reason to show it to anyone other than the person that he hoped would be his partner. He hadn't decided on who that person would be yet, but he looked around as he stood at the top step and found a few people that could be his partner. He judged them by how that acted around others, and how they held themselves. He was now in his 'analytical mode' and he wouldn't snap out of it even if a rock was thrown at him.
