I prefer private one x one, but I'm not opposed to smaller group games. While I am brand spanking new to RPGuild, I have been RPing for several years now, and consider myself experienced. I believe in quality over quantity; some of my replies are lengthy, others are brief, it all depends on how much description the scene we're writing requires. I always put a great deal of effort into my posts, try to keep things interesting and fun, and help move the RP along. I value the same amount of effort from my partners.
I write males and females equally. I'm open to het, slash and femslash. I like realistic, developed romances that don't happen right away, and take time to progress. I also don't want my RPs to be all about romance, because that can become quite dull.
I dabble in a few fandoms, but I never write canon characters, and prefer playing against other original characters. I'm never confident writing canons and feel too much like I'm tarnishing their character. I don't wish to have my OC's presence overtake or become more important than canon characters; I simply like to explore these fandom worlds through another's eyes. I am capable of writing more than one character, and think a diverse cast of side characters adds a lot of fun and depth to games.
I never write slice of life, 'reality' based RPs. All of my RPs must have a speculative or fantasy slant, because I already live in the real world, and stories without magic don't often appeal to me.
Fandoms/Plot Ideas:
Harry Potter: I'd prefer a setting taking place at least 10 years+ after the Battle of Hogwarts. I can write student or adult characters. I think a game about a new Dark Lord/Lady stirring would be quite fun, especially one involving Aurors, but I'm more than happy writing about daily life at Hogwarts and all its magic and teenage drama. I also think a Potter game taking place in medieval England, right before the Founding of Hogwarts, would be quite fun.
Avatar: the Last Airbender: Haven't caught up with the last season of LoK yet, so I'd prefer a game set in the A:tLA verse, perhaps a year after the War ended, with the Three Nations rebuilding and tension still hanging heavily in the air. I have an angsty hot-headed male Firebender who was raised in the Earth Kingdom on a quest to find (and kill) the Fire Nation soldier who fathered him, a tomboyish Northern Water Tribe warrior girl who leaves home to train with the Kyoshi Warriors, and a flirtatious Fire Nation bard who travels from town to town, playing his music in taverns and making village girls swoon while he attempts to write the great ballad of the ages.
Dragon Age: Haven't finished the second game, but I think an RP about a Templar/Mage would be quite fun, perhaps with both of them escaping the Circle Tower during the Right of Annulment after a mage rebellion. Or a roleplay about an Alienage elf running away and joining the Dalish.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: A long shot, I know, but I'd adore a roleplay about a Slayer from another period of time (Victorian England, the Old American West and Feudal Japan being my favorites), deeply steeped in mythology from all of these regions. Or, alternatively, an RP similar to Slayer Academy about a group of potentials training together in a school against a new unstoppable Big Bad.
Original RP ideas:
- An original faerie RP about a small town where children and teenagers are disappearing, and being brought to Faerie; first as treasured human guests, then as slaves and pets for the Fae, and even as human sacrifices and tithes to hell. A changeling, human or banished faerie band together in an effort to rescue the children and stop the ritualistic abductions.
- A modern retelling of Hades and Persephone with a touch of Beauty and the Beast, where the two discover they are being reincarnated over and over again, and if she doesn't want to throw the human world into the next ice age and keep the seasons balanced, Persephone must join the God of Death in his Underworld realm and rule as his Queen.
- An RP similar to 'American Gods' about gods/goddesses/mythological figures trying to survive in a modern world which has forgotten them, and competing with new gods of technology.
- A modern fantasy game which combines magic and organized crime, hit witches placing curses on targets for profit, werewolves fighting in underground dog fight matches, mob heads summoning demons for power and magical drugs gripping people in the streets, etc.
- Steampunk airship pirates. That's all I've got, but I've always wanted to write in a steampunk setting, and I'm sure we can think of something fun and interesting. Maybe something with a ship and crew similar to Firefly, except with sky pirates and Victorian England instead of cowboys and the wild west.
- I've always wanted to write in a traditional high fantasy world, which undergoes alien invasion and combines sci-fi/fantasy.
- A man/woman goes to a travel agency, and meets a time travel agent who promises to take them wherever they want to go, throughout time and space. Never seen Doctor Who, so this lacks any Whovian influence on my end.
If none of these appeal to you, but you'd still like to RP, don't hesitate to reply or PM me with any of your character or plot ideas! I promise I don't bite.
