This plot can be MxM, MxF or FxF, or non-romantic.
(My character) is mute. Growing up, they were never seen as "worthwhile" by any of their peers, everybody assumed (my character) couldn't communicate with others. Allways judged, treated differently simply because they are not capable of speech. Nobody wanted to turn the key, unlock the precious treasures the person had to share with the world around them.
(Your character) is a (Your choice.) When they were younger, they were often treated like something stepped in, simply because they were different to what society wanted, or expected of a person. They struggled to cope, turning to deal with it in their own way. (This is all I have as a brief for your character, as obviously, how they cope depends on what you want.
I don't mind how you have your character be different to others. It can be what they enjoy, thier sexuality, gender identity, a disfiguring injury, a disability, ANYTHING. You choose. :) )
An initiative to pair schools ends up with (my character's) class coming to (your character's) school. Everyone is paired up with someone from the other school, in order to work together, to "bond" the two districts together.
(Our characters) end up paired together, and almost instantly hit it off, finding solace and comfort in one another, and glad to have someone who genuinely likes them. When the pairing of schools is to end, our characters risk being ripped apart from eachother.
Will they work out a way to remain together, or will the friendship they share be ripped apart at the seams?
And that's all I have, as the plot will depend on what YOU want from it.
