Weapons.
Whether it be swords, axes, maces, hammers, daggers, bows, lances, any sort of weapon that is used to engage in battle has a connection to its wielder, and this connection, this bond, runs much deeper than just being their favorite tool, their protector, dare I say, a friend. Their weapon is a manifestation of their own will to live, it is what it means to be part of this world.
But what is so important that a weapon is their life? This world is more than just a safeguard for fallen warriors. In fact, it holds several of the most beautiful weapons of all. The weapons are those of legend: Excalibur, Durendal, Aegis, Moralltach and Beagalltach, Caduceus, Labrys. The weapons are meant only to be held by the most worthy of hands. Warriors battle and engage in a full-out war to gain the honor and respect of the spirits of the weapons. Since their time on Earth is over, they've nothing left to do but aim higher.
Thus, they battle and they die. But they return. Only few of them are able to return to claim these weapons. What place is this where endless battle occurs, where the only real need is to conquer for the honor and glory? None other than Valhalla. This is The Land of The Fallen.
Rules
Characters can die, but will respawn. This is due to the nature of the land. These warriors have already died, so dying again makes no sense. These characters can be resurrected in a time bending process at holy altars, found just about anywhere.
Secondly, your character can be doing their thing for the first couple of pages (before we start to delve into the adventure of finding the weapons) but they must be present during the naming ceremony in the main hall, Sanctuary.
Follow guild rules, and we'll be good.
And for a CS:
Appearance: A picture is the best option, but if you can write a mean description, go for it.
Name: This is about 1631 A.D, so anything from Mesopotamia to the Ottoman Empire.
Age: The age at which they died/The age they appear to be. (The second input usually refers to when they were in their prime.)
Gender: Some warrior women, like the Amazon, are extremely frightening.
Weapon: Here, I want the name of the weapon they currently use, its origins, and their connection to the weapon. This will help me determine factors later in the roleplay.
History: This is going to be a long section. I want their entire life, top to bottom.
Personality: Another long section.
And that is it. Anyone find this interesting?
