"A break is probably overdue.. Maybe we can begin cataloguing the items and sorting through them and find the SD Card during that process?" Sophia smiled, happy to have a plan. "I'd.. Better go put some proper clothes on" She blushed, realising she was still only wearing her skimpy pajamas. She turned quickly and rushed upstairs, pulling on jeans and her favorite white V neck shirt. She liked it because it showed off a peak of her ample cleavage, but was still classy. Grabbing her jacket and slipping her feet into some brown leather boots, and rushed down the stairs. Slipping on her untied laces, Sophia stumbled down the last three steps, and crashed into Andre's solid form.

Sophia rolled off him, and scrambled up awkwardly. "Oh my gosh, I'm sorry... Are you ok? I didn't crush you or anything?" She laughed awkwardly and knelt down to tie her laces. "I'm really sorry, I'm an idiot..."

Sophia finished tying her laces. "Okay, are you ready to go?" She grinned, her cheeks still several shades pinker than usual. It was too easy to think of Andre as a person, Well, at least you can pretend you've got a friend in this town.

"I am," said Andre, nodding. He retrieved a bag from near the door and opened the front door of the shop. "Security system, arm ten seconds after I lock the front door." There was a subtle beep from above.

Andre and Sophia stepped out onto the busy street, when Sophia had arrived late the night before, she hadn't noticed how many other shops lined this street. Fashion clothing, hair salons, robotics stores, pubs, sex shops and more with flashing open signs. "Oh wow! Its much busier here then I expected!" She breathed, taking in the bustling life around her. "Where abouts is the market?" Sophia smiled up at Andre, suddenly becoming aware of how tall he was.

Andre locked the door. "The market is close to old downtown," he said. He moved past the sex shops as if they carried the plague. "We can take the public transport system, or a cab. It will be a thirty minute walk if we do not."

Sophia wouldn't of minded the walk, but she sensed that Andre probably wasn't quite as adventurous as she would be. "We can catch public transport if you like." She and Andre walked towards the nearest station quietly. Sophia cleared her throat to break the silence, "Andre.. What is it we're shopping for today?"

"My opinion matters to you?" Andre inquired. He seemed surprised. "Your aunt was the same way, but most people do not care for an artificial human's opinion. As for what we're shopping for... well I assumed that there were some things you required for your stay."

Sophia laughed, "Yeah well its hard to think of you as artificial, you just seem like a subdued human." she giggled again, trying to imagine Andre angry or laughing, he was always so calm. That was probably the mosts robotic thing about him, although he did seem sad or suprised at times, she hadn't seen to express joy or anger or any other emotion. "Yeah, I need new bedding, some groceries, and some toiletries."

"Of course I do Andre! Just as long as you promise not to get too emotional on me!" Sophia grinned teasingly, shaking her head at her own bad humor. As she spoke a shuttle bus pulled into the bus station. They boarded silently, Sophia waved her bracelet over the scanner and a quiet beep confirmed her own person barcode had been scanned. Sophia and Andre management to both squeeze into a seat near the front of the shuttle. Neither of them had much to say, and they sat in silence for a few minutes until the shuttle bus's electronic voice informed them of their arrival at Downtown Marketplace.

"I may be unable to control some emotions, Sophia," Andre said. He waved his hand over the scanner, identifying him as an android. Had that not happened nobody would have suspected he wasn't human.

"Yeah nobody is perfect, and most people have a lifetime to learn about them." Sophia smiled, secretly she couldn't wait for Andre to find his emotion cards. They both stepped off the bus and Sophia breathed in her surroundings. The downtown market was a cross between a fruit market and a mall. There was a large outside portion with fresh produce and baked goods being sold by androids and computerized displays, hi tech shops lined the sides of the market, and a huge supermarket sat on the other side of the road behind the bus stop. Thankfully there didn't seem to be any sex shops or bars in this part of town.

Sophia looked around excitedly, "Where too first, Andre?" As she spoke the incredible smell of a nearby stall selling freshly baked goods filled her. "Lets get some of these for lunch.." She absentmindedly grabbed Andre's hand and pulled him towards the stall. As she stood browsing the fresh loaves of bread for a few moments she suddenly realised she was still clutching Andre's hand. "Opps, I'd better let you have that hand back." Sophia smiled, dropping Andre's hand unceremoniously.

Andre gave a small exclamation of surprise when she pulled him. "That is fine," he said. "Remember that these are for you; I cannot eat after all." He could smell the food due to sensors in his nostrils, but the scents meant nothing to him. He knew what tasted good and bad to humans, but not why.

Sophia frowned, "If they ever create robots that can eat we're upgrading you right away. Taste.. Its such an exciting sense! And full of memories." She selected a medium sized loaf of bread, an android packaged it for her, smiling falsely. "Ok Andre, where too now?"

The android checked his glasses. "I require some more enhancer fluid," he said, referring to something called "Android Blood". It was a white fluid that coursed through an android's system, providing the ability to squeeze more processes out of their batteries. "This way." He led the way through the stalls.
