Oh right, I'm looking for something along the same lines, hence the 'esque' part of the title. We'll scrap all of the characters, ALL OF THEM! What no lucian? I know, he's pretty gorgeous right? But no! He has no room in my roleplay...well on the site anyway, however, this doesn't mean that there can't be ONE (1) character similar to Lucian (or others) in the sense that he is the first lycan to be able to shift from human form to lycan form and perhaps the whole leading the revolution deal, depending on the plots I (or you) may or may not come up with. Honestly, I'm cool with a sandbox type RP in this setting but they tend to die rather quickly with no clear direction.

Fourth(ly)?, fuck it, I don't know. So the setting would be, like in the movie mentioned in the title, a loooonngg time ago, the vampires are on top, the lycans are slaves, complete with collars. If you haven't seen the movie don't worry, I won't judge you and you can still play if you like

And thinking of playing an escaped young lycan that was being tested to become like that big bad wolf in the last film. She dun like the tests and broke free and is on the run. Has three forms: human, hybrid freaky lycan and regular wolf form. Wolf form is what made her a candidate and the thing about this chick is that she dun remember anything that happens when she is in freaky lycan form. That sound okay?

Are you referring to the Awakening as the last film? If so, I haven't seen it yet. I know, terrible, it's blasphemous, but it is what it is.
Your idea is interesting. However, if your character is on the run, you would be playing by yourself essentially. I know I didn't give very many details in the drunken first post, but the game play will start in the city. So, I think your character would be alright if she stayed in the city.
I can see where some scientific testing would be beneficial, but, you're getting really close to a modern day werewolf in the sense of can't remember things while in form and then the regular wolf form. Remember, chronologically, we're starting at the beginning of the series. Candles were used as light, horse's are the main mode of transportation.

I'm still not sure what kind of plot I am going for here, I've had a few ideas that sound nice in the beginning but hit a snag somewhere in the middle. I've got a lot of planning to do.

Right. So this bunny's idea was that in the last film, the antigen people are experimenting on a new type of Lycan. Big bad wolf. Was thinking that my character could be a 'long lost gene pool thingy' that helped anitgen in the future. Like yeah, it is modern day type of thinking with the whole memory loss thing, but the twist is that my character was a wolf to begin with and became human. Whatever reason you'd like. The character plays into the whole modern myth of the werewolf (and your right, doesn't happen in the films) but that myth could have been influenced by the happenings in the past with the test subjects.

If the whole thing is totally off-Underworld then we can scrap it. But! Would still like to play a character that was a wolf to begin with and seen as some kind of deviant that the Lycans would want to kill off and is hidden away in the city.

If not then... could play out whatever you have in mind for plots! ;]

Bunnita, I'm liking what you're saying, methinks I'll do something along the lines of scientific experimentation within the walls of the city, only a few things would be allowed of course, if humans can be turned into wolves, why not wolves turned into humans? And perhaps a few hybrids as well, depends on what I'm thinking when I sit down to write it all up :)

Working on it now, since you came up with the species bunnita, want to name it? It isn't a Lycan and it isn't a werewolf so what is it? Also, would you be okay with other players playing the same species?

Wulp... this bunny thinks that the Lycans and Vamps would call it a "Deviant." But the wolves themselves would call themselves: 'Les Ames Soeurs.' Pronounced Lays Uhm-eh SOOR. "Kindred Spirits/Soulmates." Or just Ame (Uhm-eh) for short. Means: "Soul." Supposed to just be Uhm but Uhm-eh sounds nicer :]

The babies, human children that stray into the French countryside, those that wander off into the expanse of forbidden places in the woods... those poor, unfortunate souls... they are lost forever. Sealed is their fate. Once lost, they are eaten by the foul spirit; Le Loup Garou. Yes. A werewolf. A Lycan. Even worse are the ones that do escape but have ingested the blood of Le Loup Garou. For they will become one for one-hundred and one days. But legend has it that after 101 days have passed, their minds will have gone too far. They will remain crazed. Trapped in the mind of a lunatic; one who believes that they are slaves to the moon.

But legend also has it that there is another kind of wolf. A mother, a leader that would take in a lost babe and raise it as her own. These babies, former human children become feral and run with the wolf, living out their lives without human contact ever again. And then there are those wolves who have grown up with that human child... what of them...?

Well... you see... Some wolves cannot help but have their spirits bound to that human child. And even others cannot help but have their spirits altered forever.

Just like how a human would become infected in mind, body and spirit with the Loup Garou (loo gah-roo), these few wolves would have their spirits infected mind, body and soul with the La Soeur du Loup (la soor due loo): the Sister Wolf. The feral human child. Those ghostly white faces that the French see during the full moon are not the spirits of the dead, but the fresh faces of lost and timid children that once were made of fur and fang. They are lost children drawn to the human world but confused, perhaps never brave enough to venture into their townships.

But the ones that do, those Ames Soeurs that do venture into the world of humans, they would have to learn to live like a human and harbour their dark secrets and carnivorous desires. Yet even as they become more and more human, they cannot help but have better senses, reflexes, instincts, agility and strength than their human counterparts. But being Les Ames Soeurs, Kindred Spirits, they will try to bond with another human; link with them so they know they are okay. In dreams, L'Ame Soeur watches over their bonded human. And when the moon is full may they finally return back to their original state. If only to protect their bonded human from Les Loups Garous, the werewolves. The Ame Soeur is invincible to the always fatal bite of a Lycan, you see.

But it is a terrible fate to battle Les Loups Garous. The Ame may not be as physically superior like Lycans, in human or monstrous form, but they do have one advantage: Ames are not deathly allergic to silver.

And that is why Kindred Spirits,you are prized game to the Lycans. Not to be killed, but to be studied. It is the Vampires that want you dead. They cannot have the Lycan science learn your secrets and have your blood mixed with Lycans. For their species to remain superior to the foolish wolves, that must never happen.

Now then... stay hidden, stay alive and fight till the death for the two souls you were sworn to protect; yours and theirs. 'Proteger Les Ames!' mes louveteaux! 'Protect The Souls!'"

Alrighty what I have so far, there is a lovely scientist named Leo, who is studying hybrids, vampires, lycans and everything. He knows everything about his own race and almost everything about werewolves and lycans. He is studying the fusing of blood, and everything that goes with it. The characters we would be playing would be his experiments mostly. Eventually, we will all escape and kill everyone! But not just yet :)
I suppose there could be people from the other side, vampires who hate werewolves and lycans and deviants...I wonder if I should come up with a vampire type deviant...like a...super vampire or something....herm.......anyway it's still in the building process :)
