Kaleb looked at the world through hooded eyes and yawned deeply. Last night had been another night of haunted dreams, filled to the brim with twisted and grotesque parodies of events that had transpired throughout his long life. It was starting to take it's toll on him and people would notice soon if he wasn't careful.

He glanced at the watch on his write and groaned, he was going to be late again if he didn't hurry. It was his 40th time going through University and he had still not quite got the hang of getting to classes on time, something which has caused him to resit a few years in his time. He glanced carefully around himself, making sure that no one was looking, and started tensing his legs.

Suddenly he took one great bound and launched himself through the sky covering half a mile in a few seconds he landed as softly as he could on top of his university building. He was already responsible for a number of strange reports around his home City but Kaleb didn't think one more was going to hurt and he really needed to attend this class. He slid to a stop outside an access door and pushed past the startled janitor that was about to come through it.

"Sorry" He called back running down the stairs, taking them 5 at a time.

It was a pretty standard state of affairs to be running through the hallways of his Uni building, he often found himself rushing to keep up with the pace of a normal life. He slid around a corner and barged into his class room, which it turned out was completely empty accept for the lecturer.

"Erm" Kaleb started, running his eyes across the empty seats "Am I that late?"

"Kaleb?" said the lecturer turning from his notebook "You're not due here for another 3 hours yet"

Kaleb groaned and collapsed onto a chair outside of the classroom. After sitting there for an hour feeling sorry for himself he decided to go and get some fresh air, by which he meant have a cigarette.

The smoking area was practically bear, as it was only 10am and therefore far to early for an average Uni student to be waking up from their hangover. Kaleb lit a cigarette and lent against the nearest wall, trying to forget that he might have got himself another page in the local news paper. He was just lucky that while jumping he tended to move too fast for normal cameras to catch him.

He was awakened from his revelry by a group of student joining him in the smoking area. He turned away from them, recognizing them as one of the obnoxious lot who has a tendency to be as annoying to other students as the plague.

Kaleb hurriedly finished his cigarette and turned to go back inside when he felt a sudden pressure on the back of his head that was the telltale sign of something dangerous about to happen.

"What the hell is that!" He heard one of the obnoxious students shout, but before he could turn around to see he felt himself being knocked through the brick wall that made up the outer wall of the university.

'Oh this is going to be a fantastic day' he thought as he lay in rubble and dust 'just when I thought it couldn't get better'

Thufir enjoyed walking around London. It was certainly better now than he could ever remember. The first time he had visited London, the White Tower was a little over halfway completed. What a difference a thousand years made. He knew that people were uncomfortable being near him, and he knew it was because his darker skin tone. If he had learned anything through his travels, it was the natural anxiety that someone with different skin invoked in other people. People were just starting to accept that racism wasn't okay. Lord help them if it was ever discovered that immortals walked among them.

Lately, he felt that it was nearing time for him to slip out of London again for a few hundred years. Maybe he would go back to Greece. He had always enjoyed Greece. In his younger days, he had marched with Xerxes against the Greek city states, as the popular term for them was now, but the country was beautiful. He barely recognized the place now, but the weather was pleasant, and most people were content to leave him be. London was getting a bit crowded for him, but every city was.

He was planning on touring the London Tower again. He must have taken the guided tour a few thousand times, but he always enjoyed seeing how radically different it was now. It was curious to see a building one thousand years later in a body that hadn't aged a day since he first laid eyes upon it.

Not many people was out in the streets when Judith flipped the sign from closed to open. She had been working in the same little coffee shop for going on a year now. It was a small brick building nestled in the corner of the street. The maroon lettering on the large window read ‘Pop’s Coffee Den’. It was a nice little coffee shop that had a big homey feel to it. The rosewood walls were filled with pictures of pop’s family or regular customers who would never miss a day of pop’s delicious coffee and pastries. Only ten oak tables were placed around Pop’s shop. Six that seated two and four that seated three with a long shelf table lined on the other side of the room that seated people who was by themselves. The floor was a beautiful cedar wood that was placed in every inch of the coffee shop.

The maroon wooden door opened making the little silver bell chime a small hello. Judith did not look up from wiping the table. She just gave a slight smile. “My dear brother what are you doing up so early?” She heard a small chuckle. “Well I just could not sleep. So I thought I would come see my lovely sisters face.” He said taking a chair at the table she was cleaning. “My, what a charming lad you are. Would you like today’s special? It is a lite peppermint brownie with a white chocolate mocha.” She started walking off toward the counter. Eli had a disgusted look on his face. “Who the hell eats a peppermint brownie?” Judith laughed at her twin brother. “More people than you think.”

Eli just shook his head. “Well it sounds god awful. That is not why I am here though. I keep getting calls from a name I don’t want to say out loud.” Judith looked down in defeat. She knew he was talking about father. Judith had taken a yearlong break from school and she still had not gone to re-register. She wanted to go back to school but she had no clue on what she wanted to do. She hated disappointing her father. “Look if you don’t want to go back just tell him to shove it.”

“I am not like you Eli I just can’t overlook father’s wishes.” She wanted to more than anything but she just could not do it. Eli picked himself lazily off the chair and walked to his sister giving her a gently squeeze. “I know love but I wish you would not hurt yourself doing so.” Just as Judith was about to say something the wooden maroon door was ripped from its hinges with such force, flying across the room, it slammed against the wall knocking tables down and sending pictures to the ground with a crash.

Judith jumped back and Eli went rigged. She could feel someone else’s power but why could she not have felt it earlier? Nothing or no one came past the door. Eli slowly started walking toward the entrance of the coffee shop. “Eli I don’t think that is safe I can still feel someone out there.” She whispered as she was caught between fear and curiosity. Eli ignored her; he was right in front of the door frame now. He slowly poked his head out. Judith could feel it before she witnessed what was happened to Eli. Her throat felt a little tight like someone was choking her. Eli was lifted off his feet, his face red from the strength of the unknown man, and throw in the same direction the door had just been tossed moments ago.

It had been such a pleasant day until that man had leaped down at him and ground his face into the road, the force of the blow causing an impact crater in the street below him. At least the sudden outburst of extreme violence had scared everyone in the immediate vicinity off, so Thufir wouldn't have to worry about anyone being caught in the crossfire. Thufir tensed his muscles and focused himself, channeling the rage that was building up inside of his stomach somewhere productive. He felt his skin tighten and begin to shift into armor. He was much heavier, unable to move as well, but the person had attacked him with a force that he had never felt, so he knew it was best to be prudent. Underestimating the opponent was at the root of so many calamities that humans have put themselves through, and Thufir saw no reason he should repeat the same mistakes that he had ample time to learn from. He stood, his dark tan skin replaced by a shiny black coat of armor, his soft green eyes changed to an almost feral shade of yellow.

He could already feel the energy coursing through his body as he stood and faced his attacker, who sneered at him.

“You should not have done that,” Thufir informed the man as he focused his energy into the palms of his hands, where it cracked and sizzled.

The focused energy began to distort the air around, like looking at something through the wrong end of binoculars. It condensed and shifted into balls of pure white, breaking the light that passed through it like a prism. He put his hands out in front of him, towards the man and pushed the energy outwards and when the tension of the power in his hands broke, a huge laser beam fired out and consumed the person who had attacked him.

Thufir knew that probably wasn't enough to kill someone powerful enough to punch him into a crater, so he waited for the next attack to come.

Jay sat with his legs crossed beneath him on the edge of a tall glass building. Why did people build with glass now? Did they not expect it to break? The boy stared ahead, into the sun, daring it to blind him. How odd the sun looked if one really stared at it for a while. The orb looked whitish, edged with blue, but beyond the edge of the blue-edged white circle was yellow. It was truly a pity so few people dared look at the sun.

The sound of a door opening somewhere inside the building told Jay that it was time to leave. It didn’t do to be seen by people doing the impossible. The people tend to not handle impossible very well. Maybe they should try looking at the sun more often.

Jay reoriented 'down' from the side of the building to the ground below, and he fell backwards off of the clear pane of glass that he had been sitting on, just as the light inside was turned on by an unenthusiastic worker beginning his day. The boy landed on the ground far below in a crouch, though he had canceled his fall an inch before hitting the ground. Brushing off his clothes and standing up, he was suddenly thrown sideways through the very building he had just fallen from.

After the initial moment of surprise, Jay stopped himself before he went through the other wall of the building as well. Glass buildings, they are so fragile. Watching the hole he had made in the wall, there was no one there that he could see. Not about to walk back to where there was surely someone waiting to strike, Jay instead walked out the front door of the building. This time whoever it was struck from above, and the ground around Jay’s feet was crushed by a wave of pure force. The boy was unmoved, but the ground he had been standing on was gone, leaving Jay floating in midair above the created crater.

There. Jay saw the one who was attacking him standing in the road a short distance away. The boy fell to the edge of the hole in the ground and stepped onto the uncrushed section of road. He’d already called too much attention to himself as it was, no need to make it even worse by destroying half the city in a stupid battle. “Leave me alone,” Jay said as he turned his back to the aggressor and walked away. This would be the only opportunity he would give his enemy. If they attacked now, he wouldn’t stop himself from killing them.

The bricks and mortar went flying as Kaleb exploded from the hole in the wall that his body had created. He squinted angrily out across the smoking area and saw a man in a black trench coat and sunglasses, standing on the rail that separated the smoking area from the river that ran alongside the university.

"Holy Shit" Said Kaleb, shacking his head "I thought the matrix happened like 15 years ago?"

The cocky smile that had been on the attackers face melted away and was replaced with a deep scowl.

"Funny" He growled, jumping down from his precarious perch on the hand rail "Let's see how funny you are with my fist in your face Kaleb Traine"

It was clear that whoever this was they hadn't attacked by accident, clearly someone was out to get him. Before he had time to think of a proper defense the assailant launched himself across the 20 feet of ground towards Kaleb, his trench coat flapping in the wind. Kaleb quickly launched himself into the sky and pulled his arm back.

Using the force of gravity combined with his own strength Kaleb shot towards the attacker and punched him square in the side of the head, launching him across the entire river and into a field on the other side. Kaleb shook his fist trying to shake the feeling of pain from punching so hard and took another cigarette out of his pocket lighting it quickly before his enemy had time to recover.

He inhaled deeply and it wasn't long before there was a crack like a whip and the trench coat clad villian was perched once more on the railing.

"You looked annoyed" Kaleb said, flicking his cigarette. The man responded by screaming in anger, the air crackling with energy and the ground started to buckle. A huge creator started to form in the ground, the river pouring into the circular container created by the force of his enemy's energy.

"My name is Cain" He growled through clenched teeth "and I am a child of the light, here to kill or capture you"

"Really? Kaleb said with a grin "And you look like a dumbass to me" Cain frowned, balling his fists tightly "because if you know who I am" Kaleb continued "then you know what I can do"

"That's right" said Cain with a cocky grin

"And look where you're standing"

Cain looked down at his feet and the water that had pooled there.

"Oh bugg..." and that was as far as he got as a torrent of water launched him up into the air.

Kaleb grabbed the water forming a whirlpool that stretched high into the sky. He swung it from the bottom like a bat, sending Cain flying miles and miles, landing in the hills that surrounded the city, creating a meteoric creator in the landscape.

"That was...interesting" Kaleb sighed. He turned around and saw the bunch of student that had entered the smoking area after him. "Uh oh" he said, wondering what they would do. Before Kaleb could say anything at all the group gave a terrified scream and ran through the hole that Kaleb's body had made in the wall.

"This is not going to end well" Kaleb moaned, blinking onto the roof. "Just when I thought Uni was starting to get dull"

Sarah leant back against her chair as she listlessly stared at the TV in front of her. War. That was all that was ever on the news these days, how it bored her so. For one who is used to be controlling or causing wars to simply sit back in watch them was a rather boring affair for her. The TV continued to drone on as her mind drifted back to the day when she finally decided to leave the human world of politics behind the day that.....

She abruptly stood up and turned of the TV, there would be no more interest garnered in it today. Sarah stopped and concentrated for a brief second and then she was gone. An instant later she appeared standing in the middle of a field of emerald green and flowers as far as the eye could see. A blink and she appeared to change. Where before the expression on her face was one of listless boredom it had changed to one of excitement and childlike delight.

She giggled as she skipped through the flowers, she really should choose this personality more often it made everything far more fun. With an abrupt wave of her hand all the flowers in the field shot up and formed a whirlwind of colour around her. The flowers dancing in intricate patterns as they swirled around her only for the whole thing to collapse as a beam of red energy came from nowhere and struck her causing her to shoot back, several trees splintering at her passage. Stopping herself in mid-air Sarah's smile had not left her face even during the attack.

“My, my and to think I thought this day would be boring! How wrong I was.” She clapped her hands in happiness as she turned around and looked at the figure before her. “And who may I ask are you?”

The figure smirked, is posture simply screaming arrogance. “My name is unimportant but I am a member of the children of light and I was sent here to kill you or capture you. Though given how you are acting it was hardly worth sending someone like me and your powers are useless right now. Nobody to control and no way to teleport away.” Sarah smiled happily looking like the perfect picture of innocent joy right up until the figure standing in front of her collapsed to the ground. “W..what? What are you doing?”

“Oh my it seems you really did not do all of your homework did you?” She smiled, but it was different this time, it was not a pleasant smile. “I suppose I could explain my powers to you but I would really prefer it if you would do just one thing for me.”

“What is that?”

“Could you please die for me?”

Kaleb wrapped the cloth more tightly around the straight sword he was carrying. The bus he was riding had a tendency to rattle like it was held together by nothing more than the will of the bus driver himself, and no matter how hard he tried Kaleb couldn't keep his hood up and his sword covered at the same time.

As soon as the attack was over Kaleb had made straight for home to pack his things. He had been through having his cover blown before and the first step was always to leave the area as soon as possible. It was likely that the story wouldn't make it further than the local newspapers but thanks to the internet it would be enough to make his life miserable. He had time to grab his emergancy cash, about £2000 in small notes, his sword and a chunky handgun. Although the gun was only really useful against mortals the blade was a gift from an ascended in Japan who Kaleb had saved once, and it was easily able to damage other ascended, as he had found himself when he tried to cut his thumb.

The bus trundled onwards heading south towards London, Kaleb often found that London was a good place to start again, even if you've started again hundreds of times in your life. Although he had few friends, the few that Kaleb did have where usually to be found in London, the ability to lay low in the dense crowd was something the Ascended where usually renowned for.

The fact that another ascended had openly attacked him in front of normal people was worrying. For the most part the ascended tried to lay low, for fear of repercussions from the world around them. Throughout history ascended had been burnt as witches, hung as murders and a whole host of other things that had made life hell for a lot of those involved. For the most part the burnings were at least survivable but the hangings left a particularly horrible ache in the neck for sometimes months afterwards.

Almost involuntarily Kaleb rubbed his neck, trying to clear a twinge that had long since worked it's own way out of his muscles. Rain began to fall heavily, lashing the windows and obscuring the City which he had called home for the past 10 years. It was with a heavy heart and a deep sigh that Kaleb Traine once again found himself leaving his home.

Sarah sighed as she walked away from the field of flowers, it had been quite pretty before it was given an almost complete red paint job. She was not a fan of roses and that's what everything in the field reminded her off. Her gait was slow and easy as she walked through the forest and back towards London, she could have teleported but she wanted time to think, time to plan and time to process.

It had been easier than she thought it would be to make the man tell her everything he knew. Though with how little pain most Ascended ever feel it really should not have surprised her. The Children of Light they called themselves, apparently they wanted the Ascended to be the new rulers of mankind. A rather laughable concept really as she had already done so for five hundred years and her desire to rule over mankind again was rather low. She frowned, still this was something to worry about, they did have quite a few Ascended on their side and she would be hard pressed if they sent more than Ascended at her at the same time. She could always escape but she did not like to retreat. Perhaps it would be best to find some other Ascended who had been targeted? If the Children of Light attacked others as blatantly as they attacked her perhaps it would be a good place to start.

Sarah concentrated for a second and vanished, appearing in one of her less well known houses in London and started the computer up. Let's see, nothing, nothing, nothing.... Ah. Apparently some students said they had seen what they claimed to be a man fly through a wall and get up. Kaleb was his name, and hmm didn't that name seem familiar. With another second of concentration Sarah appeared at the university and walked in. The few who did want to question why someone so obviously not a student or a professor were quickly turned away by her powers. A few more quick applications of her power and she found a picture and his home address. She had little interest in taking a taxi there, she had not been anyone near there herself and could not teleport herself, so she lightened the gravity around her and simply flew to the location, staying in the clouds to avoid being seen and then teleporting to the ground and entering his house, the lock giving her no difficulty at all. She cursed when she had obviously missed him by hours at most. What to do what to do. Smiling she snapped her fingers and she was back in London.

Judith was in complete shock after her brother was tossed like a sack of coffee beans across the little coffee shop. She looked toward the door frame. A man, just a little over six feet, stood where the wooden door had been moments ago. His skin was dark; he had dark brown almond shaped eyes, black buzz cut hair. He was in all black from neck to black booted covered toe. He looked around slightly and noticed Eli was slowly getting up. He looked satisfied and with a pleasantly evil grin he spoke. “Judith and Eli Gibson; the lovely twins.” He spread his arms like angel wings. “I am here to kill you! I am Octavius a child of the light” He started laughing hysterically. He stopped and looked confused. “No, that is not right I have to capture you. Only if you resist can I kill you.” He smiled, eyes lighting up like a child’s. “Please resist.” He said then within a blink of an eye his hand was on Eli’s neck again.

Judith could feel tingling in her neck she tried to think of something fast. Her eyes caught on a small cat statue that was in the corner of the room. She rushed over placing her hand above it and willed it to life. Judith spoke to the clay feline asking it to help her twin brother. The little thing ran at full speed jumping on to the tall man biting into his neck. Octavius started to giggle. “It tickles.” The man pushed the feline off making it bust into tiny pieces. He looked saddened at first like a boy who lost his puppy. Octavius slammed Eli into the glass case that held the pastries. Looking back at Judith he smiled his little evil grin. “You want to play with me now?” Judith was starting to panic her body tingling all over from where her brother was being abused. Backing up was all she could think of to do. She was too scared to try anything else. Maybe we should just give up if we did that then we would live, right?

Her thoughts where interrupted by the ground beginning to shake. She looked up in relief Eli was kneeling on one knee calling on his earth power. Within seconds Octavius was falling into a sinkhole. Eli jumped up quickly grabbing his twin and dashing out of Pop’s Coffee Den. By the time they past the little glass window outside the man Octavius was halfway out of the sinkhole laughing. Judith stopped making Eli jerk backwards a little. “What the hell love? We have to get out of here!” She shook her head fiercely. “You said you would not use your power in front of people or without me around!” She yanked her hand free leaning aback against a brink building, three blocks away from the small coffee shop. “I haven’t. This is not the time for this he could find us any minute.” He tried to talk to her like a child in a soothing voice. “Then how did he know who we are and what we could do?!” Judith was beyond anger at this point. They were being chased by a psychopath who could have killed someone. “How the hell should I know love! Let us just get to a hotel to figure this shit out.” He had seen the confused look and spoke before she could ask it. “We can’t go back to either of our apartments. He could know where we live. He knew are names.” Judith looked defeated but she wrapped her arms around her brother’s slightly more muscular ones and let him lead her off to a motel.

“We should just head into London. We are only two hours away and it will give more distance between us and the crazy child of light.” Eli spoke has he rushed them past more buildings. “Alight.” Judith said pulling her body more toward her brother and using her power to feel any other users around.

"I am a Child of the Light. I have orders to either capture you or kill you. If you resist, I will have no choice but to resort to violence." The speaker was female. Jay hadn't been able to tell from her appearance, but her voice confirmed it. The Child of the Light wore a black hoodie, hood pulled up to hide her face.

Jay stopped walking away. Resort to violence? What did one call nearly destroying a building and attempting to smash another into the ground? Still facing away, Jay pointed up towards the sky. "Have you ever looked at the sun?" The comment caused the attacker's eyes to look up, for a moment, but that was all it took. Jay altered down and fell backwards through the air at his attacker, twisting to face her as he did. She had just enough time to see him flying through the air towards her before his open palm slammed into her chest.

All that pushed him was his sideways gravity, the road below was a great black wall stretching into infinity behind him. But the road did end, just ahead. Though the girl tried to free herself from the boy's push, he canceled every resistance she put up. The pair hit terminal velocity just before they hit the side of a tall metal and glass office building. Jay's attacker was slammed through layer and layer of building. They didn't slow, the boy canceling any resistance to his fall, but his attacker bore the full force of wall after wall after wall. The other side of the building blew out, and the pair just kept falling through building after building, tearing a path of destruction that ran through five blocks in the center of the city.

Reorienting down back towards the Earth and canceling their fall, Jay took his hand off of his attacker. Cocking his head to one side, he addressed her, "Do you still want to resort to violence?" He could see the blood falling from her back onto the road, the black wall that had now become the floor.

To her credit, Jay was surprised that she was still alive. Not many people could survive their body being used to smash through a half dozen steel support beams. "I am a Child of the Light. I have orders to either capture you or kill you. If you resist, I will have no choice but to resort to violence." she said the same thing as earlier, though she had a noticeably harder time getting some of the words out this time. It looked as if she had bitten her tongue as well. She raised her head to look the boy in the face. A pillar of fire consumed his body.

The girl collapsed onto her side in the middle of the street. The kid had managed to break most of her ribs, and she couldn't move one arm. "Ow." The sound was barely a whisper. Sirens rang out, far away now but coming closer. That was fast. Suddenly a hand grabbed her shoulder and pushed her down onto her back. The boy knelt over her, his body burnt and blackened, parts of him still on fire, clothes gone, reduced to ash by the inferno. As she watched, his eyes regrew in their sockets. They looked... bored. No one had warned her that her target was a monster. "I-"

Jay slammed his palm into the girl's side, he heard ribs breaking as he multiplied the force of his touch by tenfold. The girl flew down the side road, skipping over the pavement, slamming into a sturdy stone building and not getting up. Jay walked over to where his attacker -- no, he was the attacker now -- lay where she had stopped. The boy lifted her from where she lay and pushed her head against the stone wall behind her. His skin smoldered and smoked as it tried to grow back from being burned to a crisp, giving him a demonic appearance, dark smoke rising from his black and dead skin. He put one hand flat on the wall next to her head. "What is your name?"

"... Anna."

"Goodbye Anna." Jay nulled the resistance of the wall behind Anna's head, then he released her. She began to fall forwards when his fist slammed into her stomach, force multiplied hundredfold. The stone wall, and the larger stone castle ruins behind it, crumbled. The needles of any earthquake sensors within a hundred miles shot up to the end of the scale for a moment and then fell back to rest.

Jay walked away. He needed to find a new cloak. "I wonder who the Children of the Light are," he mused. He should have though to ask. The boy, his face only half regenerated, looked back over his shoulder. Too late now.

The man who had attacked him dashed at Thufir from the smoke, slamming into his armored torso. Thufir was knocked back, but was able to grab his attacker and teleported up, well above the London skyline. The burst of energy that Thufir emitted when he appeared was enough to burn the hood which was covering his attacker's face, and he was shocked to see it was a woman with unnaturally blue eyes and a blonde buzzcut.

“Who are you?” he demanded of the woman as she struggled, but found herself unable to escape now that Thufir had a proper grip on her arm.

“We are the Children of the Light. You are to come with me.”

“You do not appear to be in a position to dictate what I am to do.”

“I have permission to kill you if you resist.”

“This is not the time to make threats.”

She struggled again, striking Thufir's arm with enough force to cause a small crack appear in the armor, but it healed almost as quickly as it appeared. She lashed out at him again, and Thufir threw her into the ground and the impact formed a crater. Thufir teleport to the bottom of the crater, again teleported to the bottom, letting off another burst of energy, which caused several burns to appear across her now exposed face. He put his foot on her chest and slowly began to push down as her eyes bulged out of her face.

“Join us! You don't need to hide from...them!” she said, the last word coated in venom.

“Those with power will abuse it. I can only imagine the terror you will bring upon the world.”

“You defend this scum?”

“I defend these lives because they are unable to do it themselves.”

“Pathetic,” the pale woman said, and she spat on his foot.

Thufir pushed his foot further into her chest.

“Do not anger me.”

That was when Thufir saw a gleam in her eye, and saw the hand on the other side of her body from him was reaching for something in one of the folds of her robe. Not giving her the chance to pull whatever trick she was attempting, Thufir pushed his foot through her chest and blood poured out of her nose and mouth as she gurgled. He teleported above the city and then across it to the very outskirts where he could be alone.

These Children of the Light had sent someone so young and untested against him. They either didn't know how powerful he was, or she had been a sacrificial lamb. It was troubling to be attacked in broad daylight. He had never heard of these Children of the Light before. He wished that he had maintained more contact with his fellow ascended; maybe they would be able to provide information. He had to find out more about what these Children of the Light were.

The alarm has started to ring, as Jayden has woken up for his new day. As he gets dressed and ready, as he also trys to remember his dream. "Hmm" he says getting out a dream journal. Jayden has been recording his dream ever since the age of 17. Because as he heard, the dream world may show who you are as a real person, and for him it may provide clues about his power, his dreams always have him doing something strange. He even remembers seeing himself use his power, before learning about it.

As he finnaly is ready, he goes into his car for his morning class. Feeling the wind bounce on his face he sighs. As he exits the vehicle and goes into his lecture. Listening to the teacher lecture is one of the boringest things. As he jots down the notes about different theorys in science, he sees himself as an outlier in science.

As he exits class that day, he meets his freinds and discuss evreything as he catches a sight. It is a hooded figure staring at him, the guys eyes in red and it looks like it has blood lust. As one of his freinds said “What’s the matter”, Jayden responded with nothing and excused him self for the bathroom.

He runs to the bathroom really quickly, and locks himself in a stall.Pondering what could be it? He looked as if he was ready to hurt him. No he is being paranoid, just then he hears banging on the stalls that frighten him. “Open up Please” the voice says….

The bus finally rolled it's way through the winding inner city streets, screeching to a stop in Victoria coach station. Kaleb walked straight past the guard on the exit and the policeman with a dog sniffing at random cases as they came through the busy station. The drug dog looked at Kaleb, almost as if he was about to go and sit with him, but at the last moment he wandered off to go and bark at a shady looking man with a big black case.

London was a busy, busy place and Kaleb's chosen time of arrival hadn't made it any less busy. It was the middle of a Friday afternoon and there was a rush on to get to the city center. He followed the throng of people leading him towards the underground and stayed low, avoiding catching too much attention.

"I heard they totally wiped out the entire street", the smattering of conversation drifted towards Kaleb across the air. Instinctively he tucked his head further down into the collar of his coat, it sounded like something had been happening while he was traveling that had made the news in the capitol. Kaleb forced his way down towards the platform and past the talking men, attempting to ignore the images of destroyed buildings showing on the monitors near the escalators.

The tube was completely packed out, people crushing in against him. Kaleb was trying to focus on staring at the blur that passed outside the window, but something was starting to bug him. He glanced down the carriage and there standing as bold as brass was Cain, trench coat and all. Cain started pushing his way through the people towards Kaleb, but Kaleb refused to acknowledge he was even there. Cain was only a few feet away when Kaleb suddenly turned towards him.

"See ya" He whispered, blinking onto the platform that was just whizzing past. The man standing at the platform gave a little whimper, Kaleb raised his wrapped bundle threateningly.

"You didn't see anything!" he shouted, quickly dashing up the stairs nearby.

Whoever these Children of Light were they were clearly after him, and they weren't planning on stopping.
