Except, why use only one being when you can have billions? And technology that can glass planets?

If that's referring to my post then they would have billions. That's the good thing about clones, and why Evvie clones come in handy because their DNA can withstand the cloning process that many times with it's regeneration qualities. If their clones can go out and each absorb powerful DNA then that would be highly dangerous for their enemies. If you glass a planet you lose the potential DNA down there, destroying rather then assimilating like the clones want.

Boerd. I had a full review typed up and then my fucking computer crashed. I'm a bit miffed, but will re-review when I calm down.

True, but that assumes a being capable of merging multiple strands of otherwise incompatible DNA. I'd need an extremely metamophic gene to use as a base in order to make that work, and even then it would be a heck of a process trying to get the desired traits to remain dominant. Much simpler to just enhance a single genome, rather than try to combine several.

EDIT: I really need to get in the habit of using the quote button... :P

Lol, that is fine. I can make do with a very short summary.

Her DNA is already proven to be pretty flexible with the combination of dragon and human going on, but I don't know exactly how easy or hard it would be to do what you are saying even so.

Unless she's the host organism and the attempts to combine various DNA's don't start until after the evil faction discovers her existence, then the malleability of her own DNA wouldn't matter much. Even if she was the host organism, I'd still have to apply a considerable amount of phlebotinum to keep the various other DNA segments from rejecting each other. Then there's the problem of her being a potentially magical organism, and the unforeseeable effects that would have on the end result.

Hmm... You've got me thinking now. Lol.

Or we can underplay the Evvie clones in this roleplay for favor of something else.

There could also be another person entirely who has "phlebotinum" running through her body that allows this to occur naturally, so she accepts any DNA inserted into her to upgrade her powers accordingly. This makes her the perfect clone template so they could insert the most powerful DNA to achieve an army of near perfect Goddesses. The base form can be defeated by even low tier because her only power is absorbing DNA to add to her power, but the ones that achieve this can go to high tier...and beyond. Able to threaten the entire multiverse.

Consider that she had an undead clone running around right now. :p

Hehe... A character with Phlebotinum for blood. "I can do this, because."

It could definitely be interesting...

Your guy's skin suit doesn't count. Unless you mean possible clones who turned into zombies for one reason or another, but they'd be just like an average zombie, nothing of note.

They would make a great faction to threaten everyone and bring us together. They shall not take our DNA without a fight!

Sssh, he probably didn't read that yet.

Lucky my chars don't have DNA! Well Niks does, but who knows how degraded it is, he has been running around for awhile as undead.

I think I'd prefer a faction with tech-based abilities. It's something I'm more familiar with and comfortable using.

I would say give the clones tech, but then I pictured giving someone like superman a pistol. Doesn't have much of an impact.

Khan, wake up and post in Perdo Wastes or I swear to god, the Clockwork Man will cut through two floors of your assassin guys with the most general lack of description you've ever seen, and your entire faction will look like pussies.

It's also worth noting on the question of DNA stealing character, Carmen (Tantalum's character) does almost exactly that.

Very almost exactly. Welp, good to know all my plans are spoiled long before I'll get to curb-stomp anyone with them. =<

On the note of storyline, I think we can hold out without a central plot for a while. Seems like most everyone is either making allies or building up their own faction anyway, just a matter of time before they start clashing. Some sort of general enemy to fight would be real helpful for the guys not allying with any factions just yet, although.

On that note; with Skallagrim gone for who-knows-how-long, what exactly is the grand scheme of the multiverse?

Technically that pretty much falls to me, thankfully I have capable undead hands.

Now it just stands if people 'want' to get involved with the overall plot.

Descriptive as always.

What about an "evil" faction dedicated to bringing order to chaos by placing the entire multiverse under its rule? That would provide a motivation for both hero and villain types to fight against them, since villains value personal freedom just as much as heroes (except with villains that desire for freedom doesn't extend beyond oneself).

Dear god has no everyone forgotten about the Empire?

Green said
The factions involved should represent a motivation to achieve some greater goal. Something to fight for. A reason for two sides to go up against one another, in what would be more than a one-time skirmish, but a large-scale multiverse spanning race towards something both sides wanted. You know, that kind of thing. Keeps characters in the loop, and prevents us from filling up the character depot with randoms.

This is basically what I was planning on doing since before Skalla left, thankfully he already approved it before he jumped ship for the mean time.

Biddz has more or less derailed one segment of it, but the main part of the plot, which is taking place first in Pedro waste, is still ongoing.
