We all know about the war between good and evil...the war between the angels and demons....God and Satan. But what we don't really know about...is the fighting behind all of this. No, some of us think that a simple prayer can rid us of the evil that surrounds us...but in all actuality, there are constant battles that go on behind the scenes..demon hunters that have been called upon by the most high to truly rid the world of the evil that lurks behind every corner. But not just anyone can be a Demon Hunter, no, you have to be one of the chosen. One of the few that have been marked by their Creator and were primarily born for this life of war. But even the blessed ones aren't prepared for what's to come...
Okay, so enough of the cheesy dialog. I want to do a RP about a group of Demon Hunters. I want to start it off as a Slice of Life type of RP and then throw the major twist in there, which will be the beginning of the biggest war of all...the final battle between good and evil. I like the idea of the lives of these Demon Hunters being portrayed in depth....cue in the sadness from sometimes losing a member from the team...or the loneliness one would have due to the fear of getting close to anyone and losing them. But there are perks to being a Demon Hunter as well, which is why I prefer to start it off as a Slice of Life type of thing.
There will be various types of demons that these hunters will battle...I already have a list with descriptions comprised. Each will have their own missions as well, some more difficult than the others. These hunters will be highly trained humans, marked by God upon their birth. They will not have special powers or abilities. Their skills and weaponry is what will allow them to succeed in battle, at least, most of the times. These hunters are able to see all types of demons, unlike normal humans, and that's thanks to the special mark that was bestowed upon them. These humans can also communicate with angels...I'm still debating whether or not to have one accompany each hunter...almost like a guardian of some sorts. That's still up for debate.
Weaponry will be advanced...we'll discuss that more once enough interest is shown, if any. I'd like to see hunters of different skill set in the RP, so this means that everyone involved is not going to be like the super advanced kick ass type. No. Not gonna happen. There is going to be an academy for these hunters that they all must attend when they first accept their...hmm, calling. Everyone is not going to accept their calling at the same time, thus, the different skill levels come into place. Even experienced hunters will go back to the academy from time to time...whether it be to brush up on their skills or master newly developed weapons.
