Liz clung to Seth's hand as the social worker drove them to the orphanage. She terrified of going to the big building full of kids she didn't know. Liz missed her parents terribly. She wanted them back, but Seth and social worker said they were never coming back. Liz was sure Seth would be fine in the orphanage. He was cool. People tended to like him. Liz wished she made friends as easily as he did. But she was too shy to make friends easily.

As they neared to the doors of the orphanage, Seth prised Liz's had from his. He didn't want his sister ruining his reputation. "Oh, grow up. Come on!" He said as he swung the doors open rather dramatically. He gazed at the malicious, fighting children and the many bruises the proudly wore. Seth smiled evilly. "Think you'll fit in really well here!" He laughed to himself, nudging her forward. He walked off to a group of boys having a battle. They happily let him join,

Liz wanted to chase after the her brother, but she knew Seth would hate that. She didn't want Seth to be angry with her. She watched her brother rough house with the other boys. Liz slowly made her way towards the kids closer to her age. They all seemed to be playing a game of hide and seek.Liz silently made her way over to the group. They told her she could hid anywhere outside. So she looked around for a place to hid. She found a small notch next to the building to hid in.

Seth looked around for her sister but couldn't see her anywhere. Fear washed over him but he shook the feeling off. She was probably just playing one of her stupid, babyish games. Just as he was thinking this, a fist collided with his nose. Blood trickled down his face but he just fought back, despite the searing pain.

Liz game started friendly. But soon the others were teasing her and calling her a baby. Liz wanted to run to Seth but she knew doing so would only prove that she was a baby. She had to try to be a big girl. So instead of crying to her brother Liz went to the playground supervisor who was ignoring everything on the playground.

The supervisor turned around to face Liz. "Yes?!" She snapped. "What do you want, little girl?!" He tone was thick with anger, like she wanted to be payed and just leave. Probably because she did. "Well?! Spit it out, girl!"

"Nothing." LIz ran from the supervisor. She was scarier then the kids. Liz could handle the the teasing. She was a teenager now not a baby. When Liz arrived back to the girls her age they took the abuse one step further and started pulling her hair.

Seth saw Liz being pulled around and walked over to the girls. Many of them cowered away when they saw the angry look on his face. "What the f*** are you doing?! Come, Liz!" Seth grabbed her wrist and yanked her away into a corner. "God, sis, do I have to watch out for you 24/7? Stop being stupid and getting yourself hurt!" One of the supervisors rung a bell and people started running and pushing toward the dining-room. "Learn to stick up to yourself. Good luck- you'll need it!" He laughed and tagged along with another group of boys a year or so older than him.

Liz was glad that Seth had come to her rescue. Even if he was mad at her, she would rather deal with him then the other girls. She couldn't stand up for herself. She didn't know how to stand up for herself. She had never learned to defend herself. Liz never thought she would need to. She followed the other kids into the school wondering how she could make things better. She didn't want to ruin their time here.
