After humanity discovered that there were people with a strong connection with the spirit world, many problems aroused and many were confused. Political conflicts were just getting stronger with the passing time and it seemed as if the third World War was imminent, however, one of the two involved parties knew that such an occurrence could only lead to horrible things and they decided to make use of their powers and distance themselves from humans, making an artificial island and forming a whole new country. This people were called Connecters and they named their island Lyranias. A state of peace was achieved, as they no longer had to fear for wars.

As to what Connecters are, they have been described as follow:
Connecter is a person who can take advantage of his link to the spiritual world and use it efficiently in practical appliances. Usually, people are connected to an spirit since the day they are born, kind of an horoscope, but this spirits are those that come from legends, myths and different beliefs and they count with different powers which can be used by their host. Even if everyone is connected to an spirit not anyone can use their powers as they are unable to communicate in whatever manner with their spirit. Also to be noted, this spirit and their powers can be used through the exchange of life force, since even without using the powers of the spirit it still leeches on their host life force. This is the presumed cause of why people die of natural causes.

There are many ways to use the Connecter powers, which will be further explained later.

Now, enter this modern world setting wielding the power of a powerful spirit with you. Uncover the mysteries the government keeps so tightly to avoid public riots and handle affairs with the three major rival clans which are in constant fight. Enter this world where just anything might happen.

This idea seems so badass. How diverse can the spirits be? Like, can they only be humanoid, or can it be all sorts of different things. Also, I might have misunderstood it, but will using the spirit's powers cause you to slowly die?

And yes, the spirits can be whatever thing you can think of. If you want to have Quetzalcoatl (The feathered snake) then you can have it. :P And no, using the powers of the spirit won't shorten your life span, since your life force can replenish itself over the course of the night and with a good night's rest, but using too much power at once might drain you dry and you'd actually die.

Well, my co-GM and I have decided to let things develop as people come, to keep things interesting. Basically, what I want to say is that I'll lay out a character skeleton with the most vital parts and then you can add whatever you want to it!

Reiji is what you call spirit reserves or spirit energy, rei for short.

Bukizoku known as weapon connection, people are able to conjure weapons at will whether elemental or not.

Mahozoku known as magic connection, people are able to learn a new reserve which is magic thus you can learn any magic.

Tamazoku known as soul connection, people can use soul based powers and use spirit familiars.

Juzoku known as summon c8nnection, you are a beast tamer and summon your familiar spirit in physical form in real world unlike connection which is only spirit and fusion.

this is like Hunter x Hunter, the four principles and you are either born with one connection or have to learn it which will he innate powers.... skilled people can have 2 types of connection and 3 types are super skilled and 4 types is rare in a million years

Also, I was thinking that, based on what I put in his powers, he would be Mahozoku, Bukizoku, and Juzoku.

Shoulda've supposed that Jelly would get to recruit members for Kimera right away. Oh welp.

I like your character a lot, Kestrel, and it seems you got a hang on the terms really quickly and rather good. So he is accepted as of now! Oh, but just now I noticed that the type is Tamazoku, which Jelly didn't really explain through, so if you'd please change it to Jozoku, then it is alright.
