I refrained from making him an inuzuka because of the wood release, and due to two things: one didn't want to be from Konoha dont know why but I didn't and two, because those techniques aren't hidden techniques those are used by the inuzuka but are not hidden. The wood release is his Kekkei genkei a family thing so I didn't see the reason to talk on it. If you need me to fix these things I will

You can't simply claim 'oh look my family has mokuton'.

Mokuton is not a general KG, it's... fairly powerful. It's what made Hashirama stand out as the strongest shinobi alive, in that time.

However, I'm not entirely closed to it- I've used characters with Mokuton, after all. But, I can't allow something so strong as Mokuton with little effort put behind it. Give it reasoning, story, consistence and motive. Dunno, I'd rather not have someone growing trees around randomly because his family has it, even when theres literally no mention of it on the background.

And our God Asuu has spoken, no mokuton xD

... why is it eye-based, though? Absolutely nothing about it has anything to do with eyesight.

It's not based on the eyesight, but the technique is focused there. What? Never gave your character a cool power to stand out? He's got a stone eye, geez! It's the epitome of badarsery. :3

I never gave my character a power that focuses on a body part for no reason. <.<

It's sort of like that crust-eye thing from Kid's Next Door....the nostalgia.

Ah...

And Phoenix, I don't mean to be so strict. It's just that...well, it makes no sense for him to have Mokuton, honestly.
Er, Daze...is it really a problem, or even something to debate over? Just a tad curious on how you feel about his eye being covered in stone.

Rai-
For a couple of reasons. First it makes it so that it has to be actively restrained, rather than oh I want to activate this so I will. If he were to keep his eye open he would be constantly in the infant stage, until he passed out from chakra exhaustion. In addition it is used as a balancing factor. Originally this KG was going to be used with a genin. Having to keep his eye closed would make it so that his field of vision would be limited, and his depth perception would be off. Daisuke is much older, and as such has gotten used to these side effects. Besides that would do you think of him?

Everyone else-
Thank you, I am very glad to know that you all like him.

Hm.

Well, I'll just go ahead and end this small thing before it turns into an argument. He just explained his reasons, so let's just drop it and enjoy the diversity, ne?

Your reasons are bad. It's functionally exactly the same whether it needs to be activated or turned off; anything that can force you to do one can force you to do the other. And if your depth perception is that off because you have an eye closed, you should probably not be considering a career as a ninja. :/

I wouldn't say 'needlessly'.

Trying to argue someone's characters ability because you dislike it in your personal opinion is not only needlessly, but arrogant and stupid.

We don't judge based on personal views.

All we see is it's overpowered or breaking the rules, usually. Why are you trying to keep an argument, by the way? I don't think this is necessary.

They learn to adapt, as I stated. It is the same as a blind ninja, they figure out ways to work around their disadvantage. I do apologize that you have issues with the placement of the KG. I did not mean to cause any problems. Would it be better if I said it was not a doujutsu, it simply originates in the eye? Since the doujutsu part is what implies that it is an eye based skill.

Nero I do appreciate you helping out, but if I can resolve this with Daze I think things will be smoother.

.-.

Honestly, that is enough. I won't have anymore of this senseless arguing in the OOC thread. Daze, I apologize if you've woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning, but channeling your frustration into RPG isn't a healthy way of dealing with it.
Realms, do what you will. Personally, I like the KG as it is, but changing it from a doujutsu would hopefully appease the crowd.
