I hope you are cool with me going ahead and posting in the IC, I have been away from my computer for a while and haven't been able to post as I'd like to. I have a few questions regarding the nature of the prison. One, how are the cells divided? Prisons often divide inmates into different areas in the interests of safety and prevention of inter-gang violence. Also, can we assume that only the PC's and the guards are seen in the prison, or are there NPC inmates as well? Just curious. I will put something up in IC and gladly take it down if you nix my participation due to my absence from this RP's developments.

I don't mind you posting. I know sometimes life gets in the way. Try to let me know if you know you will be gone for a long period. Right now the only division the cells have is woman on one floor and the guys on the other. Most of our prisoners are murders so I don't see the need to divide them further, plus that would limit interaction and I don't like to do that. You are totally welcome to create NPC inmates to torture.

No problem doubles happen. I don't mind you terrorizing NPC and I appreciate you throwing yourself back into your cell. Keep in mind these guards are specially trained to deal with serious criminals. The have stun guns, tazer a, and tranquilizers.

So what's their sick bay like? Do they even have medical experts on staff? If not Jerid is applying for a job.

The sick bay would be a small room with two cots. There is a doctor of sort

Can Jerid (help) carry the dude to sick bay and strike up a conversation with the doc? Or do the guards not allow such a thing? How paranoid are they? Assuming Jerid tries to fast-talk his way trough in a non-threatening way with no ulterior motives?

I was going to ask about the injured dude. I wasn't sure if I read that right. I don't have a problem with Jerid helping the guards cart him down to the medical area. The guards would be pretty paranoid because they are assigned to a prison for criminals with no hope of ever seeing the outside world. They would be more likely to shot first and ask questions later.

In many prisons they let/make the more handle-able inmates do work for pocket change. Run the laundry, run the cafeteria, clean up. Sometimes they let the educated ones do more cushy jobs like run the library or help out the medical staff. Of course any warden who has seen shawshank redemption won't let a prisoner anywhere near his tax returns though. hehe

I assumed the guy who served the goop was an inmate. Am I right on this?

I have been researching prisons because I want this to be as close to reality as I can. However this is a special prison. VERY HIGH security. There are the prisoners that are so violent they can only be trusted to mingle with other violent criminals. The guards would have to be ex-military or something to keep them in line. I will allow some of the prisoners jobs once they prove (or atleast pretend) to be cooperative. But right now only NPC inmates have jobs. So yes the guy serving would be an inmate. Keep in mind there are secrets within the walls of this prison that make it different then any real prison.

He worked for Gangs mostly, the most notable being the Triads of Japan and The Los Muertos Cartel of Mexico City. Before he knew it he was 22 years old. In the time he had been working as an Assassin he had acquired a new look knowing that eventually he would be on Interpol's most wanted list. He now had a white mask lasered to his face. He had also taken to armed robbery. When he robbed banks no one was left standing. He was caught finally when the guy who gave him his assignments had been bribed by the FBI to set him up. He now resides in prison.

Jerid will just walk along and make sure the resident doc knows his name. plan ahead, so if the warden decides he is nice he'll go there.
